3RD PERSON POV

The battle pressed on and the Oda forces were able to take down Kennyo's army but, only just. However, Alex and Zion led the pack of wolves to assist Nobunaga and the rest of the vassals. Nobunaga fought against Kennyo and he was struggling a little until Alex showed up behind and she grabbed him by the back of his collar with her mouth and she roughly tosses him to the side. Kennyo rolled onto the ground and he glared at Alex's wolf form.

"Grr! you've got in my way for the last time, you cursed woman!"

Alex growled angrily before she charged at Kennyo. Kennyo swings his sword left and right but, Alex was able to dodge his attacks. Zion and his pack took down a few of Kennyo's men and they were struggling to fight them off. Alex smirked at Kennyo and then she spoke up so that Kennyo could hear her voice.

"You've lost Kennyo!" 

Kennyo looked at Alex surprised and she continued, "The moment I uncovered your little night raid it was already over! surrender!"

"Never! I will get my revenge!"

Alex snarled and growled at Kennyo before she charges at him again. Kennyo saw her incoming attack and then he managed to strike her on her hind leg. Alex whimpered a little bit, however, she had to ignore the pain as she circled around Kennyo with a glare in her eyes. Nobunaga noticed that Alex was injured and he had to help her but, with this many soldiers it's gonna be hard to get to her. Suddenly, a familiar voice shouted.

"Lord Nobunaga! we're here to help!"

Alex look who arrived and it was Hideyoshi and he had brought Mitsunari and some reinforcements. Kennyo was shocked by this and then Alex smirked at him.

"I told you...you've lost!"

Alex pounced on Kennyo and she got him pinned down. Kennyo looked at Alex in fear and he tried to grab his sword but, Alex pinned down both his arms and he was unable to move. Alex snarled and growled at Kennyo and she was about to bite him but, Nobunaga shouted.

"Stop!"

Alex came to a halt and then Nobunaga came over to her and he told her.

"It's all right, this fight is over, we've won."

Alex looked at Nobunaga and back at Kennyo. Alex began to relax after the fight died down and then she slowly shifted back into her human form, revealing her bandaged chest and she also wore black leggings to hide most of her body. Alex stayed on top of Kennyo while having a hold of his arms and he was shocked when he saw her reverting to her human form.

"I was right...you're cursed..."

"It doesn't matter, sometimes curses can be an advantage."

"Then why didn't you finish me off? that was your chance to kill me but, you hesitated."

"Because I'm not like you Kennyo, I may have been cursed six years ago and I'll do whatever it takes to protect the people who mean the most to me but, I won't let my rage get the better of me. That's the only difference between me and you."

Alex said to him before she got off Kennyo and then one of the Oda soldiers tied him up along with his men. Nobunaga came over to Alex and he gently placed his black jacket over her shoulders. 

"You did well, Alex."

"Thanks, Nobunaga."

Just then, Zion came over to her while limping a little and then she smiled at him before kneeling to his height.

"Thanks for the help again, Zion, are you all right?"

"I'll be fine, I just need to rest this leg for a while and then we'll head back to Azuchi for a while."

"All right and thanks again and take care of yourself," Alex told Zion before he and the rest of his pack disappeared into the shadows.

Alex stood up again and then she flinched in pain on her leg. Nobunaga looked at her leg and he asked her.

"Hey! are you ok? does your injury bother you?"

"I'm fine, it doesn't hurt like before, look."

Nobunaga looked at Alex's leg and he watched how quickly her injury was healing.

"Instant regeneration it's called. Small injuries like this don't take long to heal but, if there were a major one say like an injury on my side, it'll take longer."

"I see, I guess there really is an advantage to being a werewolf."

ALEX'S POV

After tying up Kennyo and his men, Hideyoshi came over to me and Nobunaga and he said to us.

"Nobunaga, are you and Alex all right?"

"We're fine."

"I'm glad you came when you did, I don't think Zion and his pack would have lasted long," I told Hideyoshi while clutching Nobunaga's jacket over my shoulders.

Mitsunari and some of the Oda soldiers were being a bit cautious of me since this might be the first time they saw me fighting in my wolf form. I sighed a little and then Nobunaga wrapped his arm around my shoulders and he said to me.

"Don't worry about them, they'll get used to seeing your wolf form."

"I know but, I kinda feel bad for letting my rage get the better of me."

"What I don't get is, why didn't you wait for me when I told you not to leave the room?"

I looked at Nobunaga and I felt like I had betrayed him in away.

"I'm sorry, but, after what happened earlier, I couldn't contain my anxiety. I had to be sure that Kennyo wasn't snooping around and it's a good thing I did. I'm so sorry..."

I lowered my head sadly when I told him this. Nobunaga held me closer to his chest and he gently ran his fingers through my hair.

"Don't worry, if you hadn't found Kennyo and his fellow monks, we would have been dead by now."

"Thank you..." I whispered as I trembled a little.

Nobunaga picks me up like a bride and he takes me back inside the manor. Nobunaga took me back to our room and then he gently placed me on the futon. I held onto Nobunaga's neck for dear life and I didn't want to let go of him. Nobunaga noticed this and he asked me.

"What's the matter? don't you want to get some sleep?"

"No, don't leave me alone. Stay with me..." I begged him and then he smiled at me.

"All right."

Nobunaga said as he kisses my forehead and then we got changed into our sleeping kimonos before I buried my face in Nobunaga's chest. I heard Nobunaga's heartbeat and it was in sync with mine. Nobunaga smells so nice right about now and I smiled a little as I wrapped my arms around him.

"I love you, Nobunaga."

"I love you too, Alex...I swear I will protect you with my life."

"I know you will," I spoke with a smile on my face as I buried my face in his chest while inhaling his scent.

NOBUNAGA'S POV

"Alex?" I called to her but, she had already fallen asleep.

I smiled at my sleeping wolf and I gently stroked her hair. 

"Rest easy, Alex. You've done well tonight, I'll be here when you wake up tomorrow," I whispered to Alex and then we fell asleep while holding in each other's arms.
