How do I tell him...?
(This one-shot doesn't have smut, I promise. There's mostly just kissing, etc. Nothing too extra. If you didn't like my last one-shot, hopefully this'll make up for it. Enjoy reading!)

Marth's POV
I raised my sword in the air as everyone cheered for me.
I had done it.. I won the tournament.
It was quite tough, but I managed to push through my final battle.
Master Hand floated over to me and handed a golden medal. I took it and placed it around my neck.
"Congratulations, Marth. You've done great." Master Hand complimented.
I smiled. "Thank you. I will cherish this moment."
Fighters started running towards me. I was a little scared, but it turned out that they just wanted to celebrate.
I felt myself being lifted up as everybody exclaimed, "Marth, Marth, Marth!"
I laughed as they put me back on my feet.
Peach walked over to me, and gave me a big hug. "Oh, I'm so proud of you!!"
I chuckled as I hugged her back. "Thanks..!"
When we broke apart from the embrace, I looked over to my right and saw Pit and Palutena flying over to me.
Pit was carrying a peculiar item in his hand.
Once he landed next to me, he gave me the item.
It was a small blue box with a white ribbon tied around it.
"It's a gift from Lady Palutena! She made it herself." Pit told me.
"Don't flatter me, Pit. You had a part in this too." Palutena pointed out, sounding sincere.
Pit giggled. "Sorry... But go on! Open it."
I nodded. "Alright. Let's see what's in here."
I carefully untied the ribbon and opened the box. My eyes widened as I saw what was inside.
A golden necklace with an "M" attached to it.
"So? What do you think?" Pit asked me, excitedly.
"It's amazing. Thanks, you 2." I replied, looking at the goddess and angel.
Their faces lit up.
"Of course. It only took a few tries to make perfect, but it was worth it in the end." Palutena responded, gently flipping some of her hair behind her shoulder.
"Can I see it?" Peach questioned, reaching her hand out towards the box. "I swear I'll be careful with it."
"Sure." I answered, giving her the box.
Pit and Palutena flew away, over to Dark Pit and Bayonetta.
"Wow..." Peach mumbled in awe. "It's so... beautiful!"
I chuckled. "I can agree with you on that."
"You should wear it now!" Peach suggested, taking the necklace out of the box.
"Wh-What?" I asked, surprised.
"Oh, come on. Don't be afraid of a necklace!" Peach replied, going behind me and placing the necklace around my neck.
I sighed to myself. "Fine, fine."
I turned back around to face Peach. She had a beaming smile on her face.
"It looks amazing on you!" Peach complimented, ruffling a bit of my hair.
I laughed awkwardly as I looked down at the necklace.
"Are you alright, Marth? You seem... off." Peach said to me, tilting her head.
"It's nothing. I'm.. I'm fine." I reassured her.
Peach looked at me, not convinced. She crossed her arms as she leaned in closer to me.
"You do realize that he's walking over here, right?" Peach told me, pointing behind me.
I peered behind my shoulder and saw Ike coming towards us. I felt my body tense up. My cheeks started to feel hot, my throat started feeling dry.
"This is your chance to tell him." Peach continued. "Don't be afraid."
I looked at her with worrisome eyes. "I can't do that! He would never be same towards me ever again."
Peach placed her hand on her forehead. "Marth, listen. You've been wanting to tell him for a long time but every time there's a chance, you don't take it."
I pouted.
"Now's your chance." She finished. "I'll leave you be."
"Peach, wait! You-" I called out. But she had already gone.
"Hey." I heard someone say from behind me.
My heart dropped. I recognized their voice and turned around to face them.
"Hi Ike..!" I greeted, waving my hand.
He chuckled. "I just wanted to congratulate you. You know, for your last fight, I was sure you were gonna lose."
I scoffed. "Haha." I commented, sarcastically.
"And yet, you managed to push through and claim victory. I've always admired that about you." Ike continued.
My eyes widened.
Did he just... say that?
I cleared my throat. "I-I'm sorry, what did you say?"
Ike raised an eyebrow at me. "I said that I admire the way you never give up until the very end."
I coughed lightly. "How nice o-of you."
Ike crossed his arms. "Are you being sarcastic right now?"
"What?! N-No I'm not, I swear!" I exclaimed.
"Alright, calm down. I was just asking. But really," Ike started. "Do you think later today, you can let me in on your secret? I can't perform such crazy comebacks like you, so I was thinking you could train with me."
I couldn't comprehend what I was hearing.
Ike, wanting to train... with me?!
It would be a little awkward, just the 2 of us. Alone together..
No. Maybe I'm overthinking it all.
"Sure. What time do you want to train?" I asked.
Ike placed his finger to his chin. "Hm. Is 5:00 pm good for you?"
I nodded. "That's perfect."
"Great. Well, I've got to check if Roy's setting stuff on fire again. Bye, Marth." Ike said before walking away.
"Bye...!" I replied, waving.
A few seconds later, Peach came back next to me.
"So? Did you tell him?" She questioned.
"A-Ah, about that..." I started, rubbing the back of my neck.
Peach crossed her arms. "You didn't tell him."
I sighed. "No... I didn't."
She put her hand on her hip and frowned at me.
"W-Wait! He wanted to train with me later today." I tried to explain.
"Hmph.. That makes up for it, I suppose. But honestly, you need to tell him." Peach informed.
"I don't have the courage to.." I mumbled.
"Here, why don't we practice? Let's head to the garden." Peach suggested, grabbing my arm.
She led me towards Master Hand and told him that we were going. Master Hand allowed it and Peach continued to drag me.
Once we arrived, we stood under a cherry blossom tree that shaded us from the sun.
"Let's pretend I'm Ike and you're confessing to me." Peach explained.
I gave Peach a weird look. "This is going to be a little awkward.."
She smiled and gave me a quick hug. "Don't worry. I won't think of it in that way. Besides, you prefer Ike."
I took a deep breath.
"Whenever you're ready." Peach reminded.
"Hey, I've been meaning to tell you something. I know you probably won't see me the same way ever again, but... I like you." I said.
Peach gave me a thumbs up. "That was perfect!"
"It was..?" I asked, not believing her.
"Of course! It's honest, straight to the point, and amazing." She complimented.
I chuckled. "Thank you, Peach."
She nodded. "And, hey, if he doesn't accept you, I'll be here to help you. Although, I'm sure he likes you back."
My face warmed up. I went silent.
Peach giggled. "I'm being honest. Why wouldn't he like you? You're one of the closest people he knows."
"He wouldn't like me if he was straight.." I mumbled, looking away.
"But he isn't." Peach lifted my hand with both of hers. "Listen to me, Marth. All you have to do is tell him the truth."
I looked at Peach, tears were starting to form.
She hugged me and slowly pat my back.
"Oh, you soft child. It's going to be alright, I promise." She whispered.
I took a shaky breath in. "I-I'm sorry, P-Peach."
"No, no. Don't be sorry about crying. I'm sure that you'll do great with Ike." Peach persuaded.
We pulled away from our embrace as I wiped my tears. Peach smiled at me.
"You can do it." She said to me. "Now, come on. We should probably head to our rooms."
I nodded. "You h-have my thanks.."
Once we made it back inside the mansion, we departed and went our separate ways.
As I entered my room, I took off my boots and my armor then collapsed onto my bed. I stared at my ceiling and kept still.
Unexpectedly, I felt my eyelids slowly drop.
•••••••••
I woke up, still in my bed, covered in my blanket.
I assumed that I pulled my covers over me while I was sleeping.
I rolled over to my left side and checked my alarm clock. It read; "4:39."
Remembering that I had to meet up with Ike in one of the training rooms at 5:00 pm, I quickly got out of bed and wore a change of clothes.
I decided that my red outfit would be a good choice.
After fixing my hair and tiara, I grabbed my Exalted Falchion and headed towards the training rooms.
As I was passing by each room, I peeked through the glass doors and tried to look for Ike.
Apparently, he was in the farthest one down.
Once I made it inside, I slowly opened the door.
Ike smiled in my direction. "You actually came."
I rolled my eyes and grinned. "Yeah, yeah."
"Anyway, you really need to tell me your secret. How do you make such great comebacks?" Ike asked me.
I scratched the back of my neck, not knowing the answer. "Well... I don't exactly know. It's just skill, I guess?"
Ike crossed his arms. "It's just skill?"
I nodded. "Yes..?"
He sighed. "Can you at least show me a few of your techniques?"
"Um..." I pulled my sword out of my sheathe. "It really depends on your type of fighting style."
Ike raised an eyebrow at me.
"Erm... Here. Why don't we have a few sessions, and I'll figure out what your style is." I suggested.
"Ok, sure." Ike agreed.
He put his sword on the ground, which made me really confused.
"What are you doing?" I questioned, utterly confused.
Ike chuckled as he walked closer to me.
"Ike, I'm serious..." I told him.
"You wanted a few sessions, didn't you?" He asked, holding onto my shoulders.
"I-I..." I was losing my words. "I-I did. Battling... sessions..."
He smirked at me. "I don't think that's what you really want."
I looked at him, clueless and in slight fear.
"What a-are you t-talking about?" I asked him, wanting answers for why he was acting like this.
"Oh, nothing. Just this." Ike replied.
In a split second, our lips made contact.
My eyes widened in shock.
What's going on?! There's no way I'm... No, I must be imagining things!
Nevertheless, I gently kissed him back and closed my eyes.
His grip around my shoulders got loose.
When we broke apart, I was at a loss for words. Ike grinned at me and giggled.
"So that's what it feels like..." He said to himself.
"I... W-We... You j-just...." I stuttered. I wasn't able to talk.
He smiled at me so smugly. "What's the matter? Is it not enough for you? Maybe we should go again."
"..." I tried to talk.
He kissed me once more. This time, however, I felt a foreign object enter my mouth.
I pulled away at the shock. Ike chuckled once more.
"Something wrong, hm? I got your tongue?~" He questioned.
My face was burning like crazy. I could feel my heart beating out of my chest.
Ike smiled at me as he held onto my face with one of his hands.
"You look cuter when you're embarrassed. Maybe you should stay like this." He suggested.
Finally, I was able to find my words again.
"Wh-Why did you... do that?" I asked him.
Ike grinned. "You think I haven't picked up on the fact that you like me?"
"U-Um... I don't know wh-what you're talking about." I lied.
Ike shook his head and chuckled. "You like me, don't you? You have for a long time and you've always wanted to tell me.
And yet, every time you had an opportunity, you missed it. Why is that?"
I stared at him in disbelief. How did he know about all of this?
"I, um.. I guess I was just too nervous of what you would think or say to me. I always thought that you might..."
I paused. Ike looked at me, eager to hear the rest.
"I always thought that you might reject me or worse, leave my life completely..." I trailed off, my voice slowly fading away.
Ike looked at me, then smiled. "You think I would do that to someone like you?"
I stared at him, clueless.
"No, I wouldn't. In my eyes, you're just.. wonderful. And, if this is the start of something, I'm glad it's with you." He continued.
My heart skipped a beat, my cheeks were burning, I couldn't bring myself to say something.
Ike looked at me so sincerely. "I guess in other words, I like—no.. I love you, Marth."
"I.. I love you t-too, Ike."
