ii. wisdom
While concerned for her safety, Sybill was happy to help Cassandra pack for her quest. In a magic bag, she packed food and clothing, along with scrolls, tea leaves, and a crystal ball.
"You should take two," Sybill said, adding another crystal ball into the bag. "I see you breaking it in the future."
"I doesn't take a Seer to tell that I'm clumsy," Cassandra informed her mother with a chuckle. "Thank you for agreeing to help me pack."
Sybill shook her head. "You didn't think I'd let you go without helping you out? While I've never been on a Seer's Quest before, I do know about the dangers and wish to give you some advice."
"Alright then," Cassandra said, sitting down on a soft chair. "Tell me your wisdom, Mother."
Sybill sat across from her daughter and grabbed her hand tightly. "You will face many dangers, my star, and you must have faith in your ability to fend them off. You have not only an arsenal of spells with you, but also that beautiful mind of yours. Listen to your gut, and do not doubt yourself—even for a second.
"Strangers must remain strangers until you can look them in the eyes without a shred of doubt for their intentions. Do not let anyone take advantage of your empathy—you are too trusting for your own good. Keep your head down and do not reveal your true identity unless you are sure of your safety.
"Stay on alert—the stars might take you to dangerous places. Do not be afraid, but be weary. Always look left and right before walking ahead. Do not follow blindly.
"And most importantly, know that if you need me at any time, call out my name, and I will be there."
Cassandra nodded. "Thank you, Mother."
Sybill wrapped her daughter in a hug, which Cassandra returned. It was long and warm—Cassandra could barely bring herself to let go.
"Be safe, my child."
