Sean McLoughlin absolutely hated being an omega. His heats were the worst thing he had ever experienced. Hours of never-ending pain mixed with occasional pleasure. It especially didn't help that his long-time boyfriend, Mark, hadn't officially mated with him yet. He was forced to go through his heats alone.
"God damnitt!" Jack cried to himself, eyes shooting open as he felt the slick drip down his leg. Going into heat on a public bus was one of the worst things that could happen to an omega, especially an unmated omega.
Jack clumsily fished his phone out of his pocket, almost dropping it in the process. He unlocked it and quickly dialed Mark's number. 'Pick up, pick up, pick up,' he thought, twitching his fingers and pulling on his pant legs.
"Hello?" came Mark's hoarse voice through the speaker. Jack sighed quietly in relief.
"Thank god," he whispered, "I uh...went into heat."
Mark's saliva caught in his throat, causing him to cough violently. "Where are you? I'll come get you as soon as I can."
"I'm on the bus to the supermarket, meet me there." With that, the two ended their conversation.
Once Jack got off the bus, he spotted Mark. The red-headed male was sitting in his car, looking around for the omega. As soon as he spotted Jack, he bolted out of his car.
"Are you okay?" he asked, pulling the omega into his arms. Jack smiled and leaned into his boyfriend's grasp.
"I'm fine. Can we just go home?" he asked, leaning up to kiss Mark's cheek gently. The older male nodded and released Jack, leading him to the car.
The drive home was relatively short, but for the omega, it felt like an eternity. Mark hopped out of the car first, rushing around to help Jack.
"I'll help you upstairs," Mark said, helping the omega out of his seat. He shut the car door, and ushered Jack to the front door of the house. As soon as Mark stepped in the front door, the other male was already in their bedroom, attempting to relieve himself.
Mark sighed, knowing Jack would be holed up in their room for at least another three days. He gathered a plate of food and some other necessities to help get him through his heat.
"I'm gonna go over to Matt and Ryan's place. I'll be back in a few days," he said as he put down the tray of things next to the door. As soon as he said that, he heard shuffling.
Jack pulled open the door slowly, his face flushed. He looked down at the floor and mumbled something to the older male.
"What did you say?" Mark asked, averting his eyes from his boyfriend's naked body.
"Please don't leave," he mumbled again, slightly louder. "I...I want you to mate with me. We've been together for almost two years. I think it's time."
Mark was shocked. They had talked about mating before, but had decided to wait until they were both financially stable.
"Are you sure, Jack? It's a big commitment." Mark asked.
Jack nodded softly. "I'm sure."
