SHE HAD EXPECTED TO feel some sort of pain when she died, but instead, there was only a breeze and a small feeling of nausea. Olivia looked around frantically, eyes squinting in the sudden sunlight. "What the hell..?" They were on the front lawn of Xavier's — the teachers, the students — everyone. As her eyes adjusted to the light, she could see the school. "Holy shit," A hand came to her mouth in shock as she saw her home had been completely destroyed by the blast.

"Wow!" An unfamiliar voice caught her attention. Her head snapped to see a silver-haired man, his clothes matching that very coloured hair. He pulled goggles off his face and placed them softly on his head.

There was so much going on, it was too much for Olivia to process. "Peter, w-where did you..." Hank stuttered, running a hand through his hair.

"I was looking for the professor, I thought he lived here," 'Peter' answered. He squinted as he looked back at the crumbled mansion.

Olivia gulped. "They took him," Peter looked over at her, an eyebrow raised. "Hank...they took him."

Hank sighed and wrapped an arm around her shoulders. "I know, Olivia. We'll get him back."

As kids caught their breath, a ripple of whispers caught the teacher's attention. Olivia's eyes widened as she caught sight of Raven — the real Raven — covered in blue scales and slicked-back red hair. She was even more beautiful than Olivia could've imagined. "They look up to you," Hank told her. "Right now, they need you."

Raven stared at him. "That's not what they need," Students, including Olivia, gasped as her skin turned from blue to pale peach and she was back to the blonde woman she had met earlier that day.

The rumble of an approaching car caught everyone's attention. Olivia felt relieved to see Scott, Jean, Jubilee, and Kurt pull up. All of them looked horrified at the sight of the school. Scott got out of the car first, running over to the crowd. "What happened? Where's Alex? Where's my brother?"

Olivia's heart dropped. Alex was right next to the explosion — her first real friend was dead and that wasn't even the worst part of all this. "Pretty sure I got everybody," Peter shrugged.

Hank sucked in a sharp breath. He leaned closer to Peter. "Alex was closest to the blast,"

Scott was hyperventilating. He ran towards the wreckage, Jean and Kurt following him. Olivia frowned, stepping closer to Peter and Hank. She could see, even though he saved the entire school, Peter felt horrible that he missed one person.

Olivia's head snapped up at the sound of thumping helicopter propellers. A large military chopper came into view and a woman's voice rang out from its speakers: "Please remain calm. Medical assistance is on the way."

The robotic voice repeated itself until the helicopter landed on the lawn. Olivia squinted in the sunlight, trying to get a clearer look at it. She backed up slightly as the breeze created from the propellers blew her hair in multiple directions. She could just barely make out the soldiers and armed men emerging. "Hey! Moira MacTaggert! CIA!" Moria walked towards them, waving her hands. Olivia felt a pit form in her stomach — she didn't trust this. "Thank god you're here!"

Olivia stayed near Hank out of habit. He, she and Peter stepped forward. All equally unsure and untrusting of these people showing up at the perfect time. "Wait!" Raven called out.

Olivia snapped her head towards her. There was almost no time to react. "Fire!" The last man out of the helicopter called. A shot rang out and the world went dark and cold.

Her head was pounding as she slowly came to, but a sudden yell jerked her wide awake. Peter crawled back at the sight of Hank's blue beast form. "Ah! What's wrong with you? Is that gonna happen to all of us?" He looked up and down his arms nervously.

Olivia rubbed her sore temple as she sat up. Hank groaned and shook his head. "No, I just left my meds in the house."

Her memory was foggy. Olivia glanced around at the small room, green lights encased them in a cage. "What happened? Where are we?" Moira questioned nervously as she stood up.

Olivia felt very shaky as she tried to do the same. "Here, I got ya," She looked up to see Peter holding his hand out. She grabbed it gratefully.

"Thanks, Peter," She smiled, exhausted.

"You're welcome, lady I don't know."

Olivia shook her head and chuckled softly. "I'm Olivia."

He nodded, mouthing her name with a smile.

"Hey!" Raven called. Olivia glanced up to see a man standing above them behind a thick pane of glass.

He pressed a button and his voice echoed through the enclosed room. "Hello, Mystique," He smirked cruelly.

Raven sneered. "Major Stryker,"

"Colonel Stryker," He corrected. "I wouldn't get too close to the wall if I were you. It may create some...discomfort." Olivia glanced at the green lights surrounding them curiously.

"I'm Moira MacTaggart," Moira interjected. She stumbled forward on her heels. "I'm a senior officer at the CIA-"

"I know who you are, Agent MacTaggert," Stryker said.

"You cannot keep me here, in this..." Moira trailed off.

"Actually, I can," He stared coldly. "A psychic event just destroyed every nuke from here to Moscow. That event emanated from exactly where we found you. At the home of the world's most powerful psychic," His eyes connected briefly with Olivia's and she somehow managed to muster the courage to stare back. He was an intimidating man, she had to admit. "So, you are going to tell me, where is Charles Xavier?"

Moira stared back at him without an ounce of fear in her eyes. "It's not him you should be worried about. There's someone else. Someone more powerful," Moira crossed her arms.

"If you can let us out of here, we can help you." Raven offered. Olivia knew it was a longshot.

Stryker leaned forward. "Do you really expect me to believe that? You can put on any face you want, I know who you are. What you are." He left it there. Checking his watch, Stryker left them alone, being monitored by the scientists above.

Raven turned around, frustrated. "Hey, Moira," Hank piped up. "Um...what did you mean when you said someone more powerful than Charles?"

Moira opened her mouth, then closed it. She looked down at her hands and sighed. "The blue man, the one from the mansion. I saw him in Cairo. They worshiped him, like a god."

"Do we know who he could be?" Olivia asked Hank.

The beast shrugged and shook his head. "I don't think so. But whoever he is, he's dangerous."

Olivia grumbled. "Great," She turned to the walls. What did Stryker mean by discomfort? Cautiously, she held her hand out to get a feel of the energy fields surrounding it. Her hand tingled as she concentrated. It was some form of electricity blocking their mutations. "Hank, get a look at this," She called the doctor over. "It's electricity. Maybe I could get us out of here?"

Hank frantically shook his head. "No, Olivia. This isn't regular electricity. You could get hurt."

"Hank, my powers are using and manipulating any form of electricity. Why is this different?" She pushed her hand closer, feeling the vibrations of the atoms. "If I could just..." She focused, feeling the familiar pull of electric currents flow through her. The lights in the cell flickered and dimmed. "Yes!" She cheered. It was working.

"Olivia, stop!" Hank warned her. She had gained the attention of the others — Peter, especially.

She ignored Hank. "I can do it!" Her teeth clenched as she strained herself to pull more energy into her. The problem with pulling in this much electricity was that she'd have nowhere to expel it. She could only keep so much in her body at once and this amount of voltage was too much for her to just internalize. "Can you get the door open?" She called to no one in particular.

Hank sighed and rushed to the door. "Hold steady, Liv!" He gripped the door with his hands and pulled. The creaking of steel rang out, pushing Olivia to keep pulling. Trails of green sparks travelled up her arms as she was reaching her limit. "Raven, Peter, anyone! Come help!"

"I can't hold this much longer!" Olivia called. It was painful to hold in so much power and she was beginning to get tired. Her arms strained and the room darkened as she pulled all the electricity from the room. She screamed out as her legs weakened. Peter was suddenly by her side, his powers temporarily restored.

"Let me help!" He went to hold her up but she yelled for him to stop.

"No! You can touch me when I'm like this! This much electricity could kill you!" Her eyes began to water and her knees buckled. "I-I can't!" She warned the group. "Everyone duck!" Her hands shot out and up as a surge of pure power and energy shot from her palms and into the ceiling. Green waves rippled back into the light bulbs and Olivia collapsed.

Hank rushed to her and cradled her carefully. "I told you," He sighed.

She took a deep breath. "I had...to try," She spoke between breaths.

Raven look down at her and smiled sadly. "Good try, kid."

Olivia had managed to set herself up against Hank. He cautiously held her steady. "How is that possible?" She asked after a moment of catching her breath. "I should be able to control any electrical currents."

Hank shook his head. "I don't know,"

Hearing that was jarring for Olivia. Hank normally knew all the answers to everything she asked. In just the span of two days, everything she had known was flipped on its head and now she was trapped in a cell, powerless to break free.

After a few moments, Hank helped her stand. She leaned on his arm for support, still weak from all that energy. "You know him? Magneto?" Peter's voice caught both hers and Hank's attention.

Peter had approached Raven. "I used to," She shook her head lightly. "Not so sure anymore."

"What was he like?" Peter pressed. "Was he uh...like they say he was? Was he...the bad guy?"

"No," Raven smiled softly. "I mean..yeah," She chuckled lightly. "Why do you care so much? You see a speech on TV or something?"

"Yeah," Peter nodded slowly. "But, uh, he's my father."

"What?" Raven expressed what they all were thinking.

"Him and my mom, they did it-"

"No, I know," Raven scrunched her nose up in disgust. "But, are you sure?"

Olivia subconsciously found herself step forward, Hank along with her. "Yeah," Peter sighed. "He left my mom before I was born. I met him ten years back, but I didn't know it was him. By the time I figured it out it was too late," He sounded genuinely disappointed. "Then, this week I saw him on TV again, and I came to that house, looking for him...but by the time I got there..." He trailed off and sighed deeply. "Late again. You know for a guy who runs as fast as me, I always seem to be too late."

"Let's hope not this time," Raven said sadly.

"Yeah, seriously," Peter nodded.

He stepped back from Raven and sighed, running a hand through his silver hair. When he caught Olivia watching him, she blushed lightly and turned away. "Sorry," She apologized. "Noise kinda travels in here."

He shrugged. "Don't worry about it, I don't mind," He gave her a lopsided grin. "You're amazing, by the way," He blurted out. Olivia's eyes widened. "What you did earlier, all that electricity." He waved his hands and wiggled his fingers.

Olivia shook her head with a giggle. "It's not that impressive. I should have been able to get us out but whatever they have surrounding us is even too strong for me."

"Did it hurt?" He asked curiously, stepping closer to her.

She rubbed her hand up and down her arm nervously. "Like a bitch," They both laughed. "But it can take it. I have to, with power like mine. I'd kill for one like yours."

"It's not as amazing as it seems," Peter shrugged. "But the lifetime supply of twinkies in my basement doesn't hurt."

"You live in a basement?" Olivia felt bad for laughing.

Peter didn't mind, though. It was funny and it didn't hurt that she had an adorable laugh, as well. "With my mom."

Now Olivia felt terrible for laughing. "Really? How old are you?"

"Twenty-seven," He answered nonchalantly. "And you?"

Olivia couldn't believe she was practically playing twenty-one questions while trapped in a cell. "Twenty."

"And you're still a student?" Peter laughed.

"No!" Olivia protested. "I'm a former student. I teach there now."

Peter raised his eyebrows. "I wish my schools had teachers that looked like you,"

A cough interrupted Peter's attempt at flirting. Hank stood behind him, arms crossed. "Getting acquainted, I see."

Peter's face turned bright red. If they weren't trapped in a mutation-resistant cage, he would've run for the hills seeing that look on Hank's face. "Yes, Hank," Olivia rolled her eyes. "And now you've ruined it."

"Good," He huffed, eyeing Peter like a hawk.

"Talk to you later? Once we're not trapped, of course." Peter smiled at Olivia.

She nodded and smiled back before being pulled away by Hank. "Of course."
