"I'm best at self-admiration and being cocky, I'm shameless..."

"Why is he back?" Was the first thing Namjoon said when he walked in, didn't even look at Yoongi beyond the first initial glance when he came in, otherwise, his full attention was on Jin from behind thick black glasses. "You let him in?"
Namjoon looked like he'd come from a class, backpack on his back, black turtle-neck, and grey sportscoat over it, white pants.
Jin stood up from the couch, "Namjoon, I don't know where else he could--."
Namjoon smiled, but the way he smiled so suddenly made Jin stop. There was something not so right about that smile, it wasn't genuine, at least not for the reasons that it should be."Jin, you can't keep doing the same thing and expecting something different, that's insanity." Namjoon gestured to Yoongi, "He made his choice on who he trusts."
Yoongi rolled his eyes, "I never said I trusted her."
"Well, you sure don't trust me, Squirtle." Namjoon said, tilting his head, "Is it because I don't make you beat up someone who defended a deaf girl who's more than not, sexually abused by that bitch?"
Yoongi swallowed. No one told me that, I didn't know that, I wouldn't have done it if I knew that... "How did you know all that? You watching me or something?"
"Oh!" Namjoon said, eyes widening, "I get it, you think I'm just some sick-in-the-head person. Not the case, I happen to know the people you're dealing with, Yoongi, I happen to know how Jae-hwa is." Namjoon shrugged his backpack off to the floor, digging his hands into his pants pockets and digging out a lollipop. "I Also happen to know how fragile that girl is, her name is Lee Hana by the way, since you just justified what Jae-hwa did to her and has been doing to her, I thought I'd like to let you know who you just damned."
Yoongi looked down for a minute, then bit his lip and looked up at Namjoon, right in the eyes, basically forcing himself. He didn't want to meet Namjoon's gaze, and with good reason--Namjoon was right, and every word he said made Yoongi even more guilty.
"Who's to even say she's damned? She could just skip school." Yoongi said, quietly.
Namjoon shook his head, "You don't know Jae-hwa, You don't know what she'll do to your head yet." Namjoon unwrapped the lollipop, sticking the red candy in his mouth, "All she has to do is call you, say a few words, send you a text, if she's in your head already, she doesn't have to be there to tear you down until you break."
"Her whole family are manipulative bastards like that..." Jin said quietly, more to himself than anyone else.
Yoongi was starting to wonder how they seemed to know her so well, but then Namjoon spoke.
"You can't even begin to understand yet, Squirtle, I can tell, the look on your face says a lot." Namjoon held out a hand toward Yoongi, not like he wanted to help him, but more like he wanted Yoongi to give him something.
Yoongi only looked up at him quietly as Namjoon held out his hand, waiting for Yoongi to put something in his empty palm patiently.
"Money, Yoongi, give me the money." Namjoon said, calmly, not a trace of a smile on his face, no dimples or anything, though his tone wasn't angry either.
Yoongi frowned up at Namjoon. "What?"
Namjoon shrugged, "You don't trust me unless I want something. I don't want you here if you're going to fuck with people's lives and not know or suffer the consequences, so pay for rent or I'll..." Namjoon paused, closing his eyes and taking a deep breath. "Give it to me, or I'm throwing you out and calling the police."
Yoongi scrunched up his nose, as far as he knew, for now, he was clear for the police, they weren't going to arrest him, but there was still the problem of where he would stay. He had no one. there was no way, just no way at all he'd be let into anywhere, they didn't have to do anything because of what the police believed or didn't believe, or whatever Jae-hwa told them.
"15,000 won, Squirtle, Or I'm kicking you out." Namjoon said, tilting his head to one side.
Jin stood next to him, not saying much of anything, and not looking directly at Namjoon either.
With a dissatisfied groan, Yoongi dug the money out of his pocket and counted out 15,000, handing it to Namjoon, who stood there for an extra moment, not even really grabbing the money.
Then, Namjoon turned around and stuffed the money in his pocket, starting to walk toward the kitchen, "Jin, where's my cigarettes? I need a smoke."
Jin woke from his daze, looking at Namjoon's retreating form. "Namjoon...I don't think you want to--."
Namjoon stopped walking, but didn't turn around, "Nicotine, I just need Nicotine. Something--Anything, I'm remembering and I want to forget..."
Jin shuffled from foot to foot. "O..Okay..." Then, Jin went off toward the Kitchen with Namjoon, basically forgetting Yoongi was there at all, though Yoongi was sure the craving for nicotine was because of him.
It felt like he'd tangled himself in a spider's web, and no matter how he looked at it, he'd only gotten himself deeper, every move made it worse, but twisted it around and made it bad in a different way.
He could spend time being upset Namjoon took 75% of what Jae-hwa gave him, but after what he did, after how his hands stung from hitting someone actually defending someone worth fighting for, he didn't give a shit about the money, the money didn't matter at the moment.
But there was one thing that did bother him, Jae-hwa was a high schooler, Namjoon and Jin went to College, she shouldn't have had so much power over them, what was Jae-hwa really? What have I done? Not just to that deaf girl that I've apparently damned, what have I done to myself? He wasn't going to lie, it scared him a little... Everything that Namjoon made it seem all the more worse, and he wished someone besides himself could tell him that it was the only way, that there was no other way to solve this, that this was the best way.
Yoongi bounced his leg up and down on the floor, a subconscious nervous habit he'd had for years. But no one would ever say that. The truth was, he was wrong.
He remembered wishing his mother would one day see that she was wrong, that beating him wasn't making him 'better', but worse, that the best way was to talk to him, accept that she made a mistake and he existed, so there was nothing to do about it but take care of him like he should be taken care of.
He kind of got an idea why she never did that now.
Yoongi clenched his fists, hearing Jin and Namjoon talking in the kitchen in hushed tones, he knew they were talking about him, and what to do with him. He was used to not being wanted by now, he didn't care.
He got up, going to the door across the living room couch where he was sitting, which was also right by the front door. Opening the door, it was what he thought it was, just a bathroom.
He looked at himself in the mirror, running a hand through his black hair, and pausing when he'd exposed his forehead. He bit his lip, seeing a bit of the stitching still, 2 centimeters under his hairline, more toward his ear than anything else. It reminded him why he took the offer. You don't wait for help, you see an opportunity, and you take it, you help yourself before it gets worse. Don't think someone will save you, Min Yoongi, never again. Yoongi let his hair drop back over his forehead with a sigh, just staring back at his reflection, looking back into his own sad, hopeless eyes.
I'm sad... Sometimes it took a while to realize he was sad, he pushed it aside so much to just deal with a reality he couldn't help, that he forgot he was feeling it.
Yoongi pushed on the mirror, the reflective glass doubling as a cabinet door, half of it popping open and swinging open with a small creak.
Inside was a tube of toothpaste, a pair of toothbrushes, a couple bottles of medicine, a couple razors and hair bleach.
He assumed the hair bleach was because of Namjoon's unnatural white hair.
Yoongi picked it up, reading over the back of it. Maybe a small bit out of spite because of how Namjoon talked down to him, maybe because he wanted to see something different in the mirror, but Yoongi was already deciding. I'll dye mine, just for a distraction, just because I'm bitter. Just because I'm sick of seeing my ugly self in the mirror.
