"I think I'm in love with the way your nail glitter, the way your hair fall, the way you constantly bite on that coffee straw..."

Yoongi sat in Kyung-mi's room, both of them sitting together on her floor, burn marks still etched in certain places from her fit and the wood blackened and somewhat faded, the room still kind of smelling like smoke. The both of them were looking at the doorway, Kyung-mi in a proper pajama set, with shorts even though it was cold and teddy bears all over it, kind of matching her mother, her legs crossed neatly, and Yoongi with his black hood pulled over his head, his legs extended out in front of him. Mrs. Park was making calls to get a more scientific analysis and diagnosis for whatever was wrong with him, and he could hear her voice coming from downstairs, though she was trying to be quiet, she couldn't exactly whisper over the phone and not sound like a kidnapper, so her tone was a very light, toned down version of what was probably the voice she used for work. It was soft, calming, and somewhat trance-inducing, he was too upset to notice when he was talking to her, but that voice was probably the reason he told her anything at all.
"I know you're not going to tell me.....but I want to....apologize for what I said to you....before....I knew you better...." Kyung-mi said, still looking at the door, her eyes thoughtful even though she wouldn't look at him.
Yoongi looked right at her, woken from his thoughts as she spoke, it coming as kind of sudden to him for her to bring this up, and he took her smaller hand in his roughly, his hoodie sleeve covering most of his hand anyway, not saying anything, which just made her cheeks turn bright red, "I've forgiven you already, idiot." He said softly, looking into her eyes, "If I hadn't, I wouldn't have acted like such a sap around you." he said, gesturing out toward the hallway, referring to his conversation with Mrs. Park, which was, admittedly, more of himself than he thought he'd ever reveal to her or anyone else.
Kyung-mi blushed still, looking at him and frowning a bit, "The crying...? That's not being a sap...that's being human..."
Yoongi squinted at her in questioning, then smiled at her, "What would I know about being human?" he said, then sighed, thinking back on times he wished he was normal, whatever the hell that meant, "I could never picture myself being normal, I don't think my parents raised me to be normal." Not that they raised him well, or to be creative, they just plain weren't there for him like other parents were, they didn't love him like other parents loved their child, the connection or him to be normal wasn't there, it was like putting a CD into a toaster.
Kyung-mi looked at him, seeming to switch gazes from his lap to his face, back and forth. So much that Yoongi had to look himself to make sure she wasn't staring at his crotch, "Your parents?" Kyung-mi started, "You never talked about them much, especially your father..."
"He's not worth talking about."
"Despite your parents.....you still turned out beautiful though..."Kyung-mi was looking down, wiggling her feet side to side for some reason, her ears red and the side of her face just visible enough for him to see her red tinted cheeks. And he was about to address this anomaly when Mrs. Park peeked in, looking like she was wide awake and had a few cups of coffee to keep her going while making the calls, and also looking like she wanted to say something as well, but standing there for a minute, just looking, then smiling and raising her eyebrows in a knowing way.
"It's 3 AM you guys," She said, a small hint of a laugh in her tone, "I think its about time to turn in for the night, they won't have results until the morning, so there's no point in staying up all night for them, might as well get comfortable." Mrs. Park said, obviously trying hard not to giggle.
Yoongi wasn't sure what was so funny about that and leaned down and forward so he could see Kyung-mi's face, smiling gummily at how shy she's being over an ugly boy like him. "Hey, strawberry cheeks, aren't you tired? We should sleep."
Kyung-mi nodded quickly, climbing in her bed in a flash of clothing and blankets, tucking herself in deep into the blankets probably in an effort to hide that cute blush of hers.
He waited until Mrs. Park was out of the doorway, then hopped in the bed with her, getting a squeak when he accidentally landed right on top of her.
"YOONGI, WHAT THE FU--?" Kyung-mi blurted out, obviously not as soft and innocent as she let on until Yoongi covered her mouth.
"I don't want to sleep on the floor. Do you know how long it's been since I slept in a bed? My back is killing me, tomorrow I might wake up and find myself diagnosed and classified as insane, you don't understand how much that hurts me, you don't understand how much pain I feel when someone even suggested it to me....let alone the reality that I might actually be..." Yoongi trailed off, still not able to actually address it, the subject still too fresh.
Kyung-mi's expression changed from being offended to kind of understanding, then she made little mumbling sounds and squeaks, trying to speak through his hand, so he removed it, so he could hear what she was going on about.
"...any different." Kyung-mi finished.
"From the beginning, I literally caught none of that."
"I said, that being sick isn't that bad...the medicine makes things a bit hazy... but it keeps the bad thoughts away too, and as long as you have people around that love you and take care of you, the diagnosis is an afterthought, and you're not any different." Kyung-mi smiled a little at him and raised her eyebrows, probably hoping that made sense.
He nodded softly, really just thinking on the part about people loving and caring about him, because he was sure that didn't actually exist for him.
"I know what you're thinking," Kyung-mi whispered.
He chuckled and looked at her, "Oh really? What am I thinking?"
"We're a lot alike, Yoongi, I know you're wondering if anyone loves you, and the answer is yes." She paused, pulling her hands out of the blanket to count on her hands, "There's Jin, Namjoon, My Mom, and....me... We all love you, and I'm sure if my brothers knew you, they'd love you too."
Yoongi was surprised, and for a second, a tint of red passed over his cheeks, and he roughly collapsed into the blanket to cover it, "Go to sleep, you weirdo."
Kyung-mi squirmed a bit, pushing him away a bit, kind of playfully, not a full push, just a gentle, shy nudge to get his shoulder off of her, "Yoongi, you're too close, what if my mom sees?"
"Yaaaah, who cares, it's just skinship." Yoongi said, laughing deeply, muffled a bit by her blanket, "Your mom seemed to not really care anyway, I think this is fine. It's not like I'm gonna lay in your non-existent cleavage." he said, looking up to smile at her.
She blushed so hard then, her face was like that of a sunrise, a mature apple, the tomatoes in a fresh salad, the moonlight hitting her features in an overall attractive light, "Yoongi-ssi, that's so... " She frowned, "You better not, I'll kick your butt."
Yoongi thought for a moment, of the consequences, then laid next to her in her little twin size bed and put his arms around her, "This gonna get my ass kicked?" He whispered, not looking at her since he knew already she was blushing.
"No..." She whispered softly, cuddling up to him, despite all that she said about not wanting him this close.

Yoongi awoke to the sound of a phone ringing, not downstairs, but right next him, coming from a cell phone on Kyung-mi's nightstand, the case a baby blue with little bird stickers all over it. And at that moment, it registered that Kyung-mi wasn't in his arms anymore and he frowned, unsure of exactly how long he'd been asleep, but he knew he felt very well rested. Even with all that rest though, he still sat up with a big yawn, stretching his body out and making his joints pop a bit before sleepily picking up the phone and answering it, his voice still a bit rough from sleeping.
"Who is this?" He asked, his eyes closed as he answered the phone, somehow still a bit tired.
"I knew you'd answer this, you sneaky devil." Jin's voice from the other end of the line, sounding like he was frying something, a soft crackling and sizzling sound in the background of the call, "Can I ask what you did to Kyung-mi? She's over the moon, and hasn't touched her pills."
Yoongi frowned, his eyes still closed, a small pout on his lips, "We slept together. Why hasn't she taken her pills??"
Seokjin let out a fake laugh, "I think you should leave the jokes to me, I know you cuddled, but I know for a fact, you didn't do anything dirty, she'd be insecure and terrified, bipolar disorder is a series of making decisions and regretting them, and I know you know she has that. But I do actually want to know what it was about you cuddling that made her so happy." A shuffling noise was heard over the line as Seokjin switched ears with the phone, "In all honesty, I'm happy she didn't take them because she doesn't actually need them, she's more stable without them, just with a few little slips."
Yoongi grunted in response, getting up out of the bed, eyes still mostly closed and reaching up under his hoodie to scratch his chest, "Where are you anyway...?"
Over the line, Yoongi could hear Seokjin messing with plates, but then realized she could hear that not to far away as well and hung up the phone, peeking out of the room and into the hallway, frowning and walking out, sticking the phone in his hoodie pocket and walking down the hall, rubbing his eyes before heading down the stairs and into the Park's living room, going straight through it and to the other side of it opposite the stairs, pushing on the swinging door and into what seemed to be the kitchen, where all the noise was coming from, and where Seokjin was serving up eggs and bacon and toast.
When Seokjin saw Yoongi, he pointed a finger at him, "You're lucky I wanted to cook for you and your girlfriend like this, at 1 PM, I could have been cuddling with Joonie."
"We're not...." Kyung-mi started, who Yoongi now noticed was sitting at the dining table, her hair messy and in her pajamas still, looking at Yoongi for approval or guidance on what to say to this and trailing off.
Yoongi just sat down next to her looking at Seokjin, "So you're admitting you're gay for each other?" He asked him.
Seokjin turned very red in the face, then pursed his lips and set the bacon and eggs on the table, having nothing further to say, going over instead to get utensils so they could serve themselves.
Yoongi chuckled softly, then yawned again, still tired for whatever reason.
"Yoongi?" Kyung-mi's soft sleepy voice said, and seemed to wait for an answer but Yoongi was mid-yawn, so he put a hand on her thigh to let her know he was listening, which more than likely made her red as a beet in the face, because she paused and audibly swallowed, "Yoongi-sunbae...uhm...last night was really..." She paused for a while, very shy about this and hardly speaking loud enough for him to hear, "It was...nice... it felt really...nice."
Yoongi looked at her and nodded, frowning a bit since it didn't seem she was finished or really said what she wanted to say, "Yeah, I liked it." He said, kind of to get her to go on, though, he did admit inwardly, that he did in fact like it.
"C-can...can we...do that...more...?" She asked shyly, looking up at him with a bright red blush that basically covered her whole face and went back to her ears.
Yoongi laughed, finding how shy she was about it funny, considering how much other girls he'd been with held no weight with something like cuddling, it was really cute that she thought it was such a big deal, but he supposed, it felt different for him too, and he nodded, "Whenever you want." his smile genuine and gummy, glad for a moment that before he had a chance to be depressed about his situation, that he had something to look forward to.
