Did you notice as you slapped me twice and sent my glasses flying
Did you notice your son standing there.

You were screaming but what were you  saying
You were hitting but where is the pain

I stood there, did not move,
Watched as your hand moved.

I could have stopped it, yes it true.
But would that stop the image you drew.
The image you drew for your son.

What was i thinking , i do not know.
My mind went blank.
No feeling coursed through my brain.
That was it. I just stood.

Because i noticed something you did not.
