Asakku (Mountain)

TRIGGER WARNING - GORE LIKE LOTS AND LOTS OF GORE

"Please don't do this" Y/n begs the demon in front of them. It was not a ghoul, it had to be a demon with power or a realm. Its claws dig into their neck, the pointy nails cut into their flesh, "Why little one?" It sneered, "I'm just trying to have some fun." It whispers into their ear, licking the blood that has seeped out of their neck and onto its hand. Y/n only continues to pull at the monster's writs, trying to kick it as their back was being pressed harder and harder against the stone.

Y/n feels the claws sink into their throat past skin, the light headed feeling taking over the pain slightly as their body twitches and thrashes, desperately trying to breathe, "Now where is your puny little church to save you?" The demon laughs, licking all over Y/n's neck, moaning at the taste of their blood, "Pity, you are delicious" The creature mumbles against their now blood soaked chest.

Y/n lets out a few tears, knowing that this is the end. They close their eyes, trying to make this nightmare end, if it even was a nightmare. There was no way this could have been real in their mind, but the sharp blades starting to sever their muscles burned, their blood smells like metal, and their heart pounding slower, and slower shook their body. The demon sunk their claws deeper, severing Y/n's windpipe. Their body stops struggling, their pulse stills.

Seconds later, the demon stops drinking their blood and throws their corpse onto the ground, their head only hanging onto the rest of their body by a few, small tendons and skin at the nape of their neck. The hellish creature's laughs were interrupted by the cellar door bursting off of its hinges, a loud roar coming from the hallway's darkness. The demon turns and faces the darkened entryway, ready to kill whatever intruder interrupted his feast.

A feral Mountain enters the room, his body shaking, his human glamor fading. He grows another foot, his muscles become too big for his shirt, the fabric rips clean off. His gray skin was tinted blue, a sign of his overwhelming anger. He snarls at the demon, covered in Y/n's blood. His head nearly hit the top of the ceiling, he towered over the demon, "Asakku." Mountain growls, taking only three steps to cross the room.

He picks the demon up by his collar, "Ghoul. What a lovely surprise." The demon smirks, Mountain slams Asakku against the wall, "What is all this about?" Asakku asks, rolling his eyes, not the least bit intimidated at Mountain. The earth ghoul's eyes turn red, and slit like an animal about to pounce. Asakku tensed, "That was MY mate." Mountain sneers, starting to bare his fangs, "I should have known when they had that head cold it was you." He growls, starting to hiss, Mountain was struggling to keep his composure. The others would find him in a few minutes, but Mountain couldn't wait. He had to get his revenge.

Mountain presses the now scared Asakku against the stone of the dungeon, slamming him over and over again into the ancient brick. He then threw the cowering demon to the floor, pouncing on him with such speed that Asakku couldn't process what was happening. Mountain claws out the demon's eyes. Asakku's screams only fueled his rage. Mountain growls, looking at the demon's claws, still smelling of Y/n's blood. He rips Asakku's arm off of his body, tossing it across the room. The demon thrashes, hissing and growling back at Mountain. He tears off the other arm, loving how Asakku screams and pleads for mercy. He could feel justice seeping through him.

He gets off of the now armless demon and picks him up by his throat, making sure to stop his claws into the flesh. He drags Asakku back over to the wall, pinning him against it, "Roit in the deepest pits of hell you fucking scum." Mountain hisses, raising his right hand, he shoves his claws into the chest of the defeated demon. He removes his hand holding the black heart of the devil. He squeezed it, absolutely destroying the organ. Asakku's body stopped moving, stopped jerking, and all fell silent. Mountain threw the heart on the ground, stomping on to it. He tossed Asakku's corpse as if it was nothing into the back corner of the room.

He takes a few deep breaths, the rage subsiding. Mountain turns and faces Y/n's dead body. Tears fill his eyes, a heavy weight fills his chest. He shifts back into his human glamor. He kneels next to their corpse. He gently places one hand under their head, holding the severed neck against their body. He cries harder, seeing how deep his claws went and how damaged your neck actually was.

Aether, Sodo, and Rain enter the room after a few minutes. Mountain out ran them once he sensed Y/n's blood being spilled. Sodo wasted no time, quickly kneeling on the other side of Y/n's corpse, helping Mountain keep their head in place, he remembers how the ghouls resurrected Terzo. He was there, "Hold their head steady, don't move it too much." He orders Mountain, pulling out a first aid kit. Aether and Rain watched from the doorway, taking in the carnage and blood that painted the walls.

Mountain nods somberly, his eyes never leaving Y/n face. Their eyes were wide, open, and dull. He couldn't look away. His heart pounded, his brain fogged, his emotions wild. Tears fell from his eyes, still slightly slitted from the fight before. Sodo threaded the needle, flashbacks of Terzo's decapitation flash across his mind. He takes a deep breath, and starts to stitch Y/n's head back onto their body.

Mountain tries to control his sobs while watching Sodo try to fix Y/n. He couldn't believe how much damage was done to them. He thought he was quick enough with his senses to protect them, but now they're lying on the floor, completely mauled.

Sodo finished stitching and tied off the twine, "Their head should stay on." He says numbly, "We need to get them back to the ministry as quickly as possible. We can resurrect them like Terzo." Mountain carefully lifts Y/n into his arms, cringing at the blood soaked clothes and stitches, the smell of their blood sickening. Aether and Rain decide that it's just better to leave the body and blood, cleaning it would be no good.

The group quickly begins the hike back to the church. Asakku's methods of feeding off of humans is to first, show up in the form of a head cold, then use mind manipulation to lure the person to his lair, then feast. Mountain and Y/n both knew other humans who had gone missing, Mountain tried to compose himself as he ran past their rotting corpses to get to you. Now leaving the ancient, destroyed church, Aether began taking note of the faces he recognized, Rain did too.

The group finally makes it back to the church, Sodo takes Y/n's body from Mountain, "Where are you taking her?" Mountain asks, his eyes starting to turn red again, "A secret room. I don't want any of you following me. Even you, Mountain." Sodo orders. Aether and Rain walk off, searching for Copia to reveal the news about the other siblings, "No." Mountain says, "They're my love. I'm coming with you." Sodo sighed. He knew that Mountain would go no matter what he said, "Fine, I'm warning you now it's more than disturbing." Mountain nodded and Sodo led the way.

Mountain followed his friend and lover with anxiety and fear. He had never been in this part of the ministry before, it was dark, musty, even worse than the catacombs when he was first summoned. Sodo was also terrified of this place. He remembers when Earth and Aether dragged Terzo's corpse down here. Watching as his first Papa's body jerked and rebuilt itself was an image he could never forget. Every time he looks at Terzo and sees the faint scar on his neck he cringes and has to take deep breaths to calm himself. Sodo pauses in front of the dead end, the brick covered in moss, clearly untouched for years, "Sodo, what now?" Mountain asks, his voice wavering. Sodo sighs, "Parietem Aperire" he whispers, the stone shakes, then opens revealing a staircase, "Down here." He replies to Mountain's question, starting to walk down the steps.

The small basement the steps led to was illuminated by the red candles surrounding the pentagram on the floor. Mountain paused on the last step to take in the room while Sodo placed Y/n in the middle of the floor. Mountain's eyes went wide at the table full of bones, daggers, and what he assumed were blood vials. Sodo moves over to the table and mumbles to himself, "Y/n is human....we used twelve with Terzo, but he's a god..." He thought for a moment before picking up five bones and one skull. He gently places the bones and skull around the circle, chanting as he does. Mountain moves to stand in the corner of the room, his eyes glued to Y/n's face, they looked so peaceful. Sodo walks around the circle, pouring out salt as evenly as possible. He hands Mountain the container of salt, "Hold this, I'll need it for later." Mountain nods. Sodo then moves over to the altar, placed against the wall, directly in front of the circle. Using his powers, he lights all of the candles and chants. Mountain clings to the salt jar as Y/n's body starts to jerk.

Sodo then lifts the blade off the altar, "Sodo, let me." Mountain says standing next to his friend, "No, Mountain I'm more than willing to die for them, for you, it's okay." The person who sacrifices their blood will forever be linked to the resurrected, meaning one dies, so does the other. One is in pain so is the other, one is happy, sad, or furious all of those emotions are reciprocated. Mountain takes the knife from Sodo and cuts his arm before Sodo could protest, "There." He drips the blood all over the altar, trying to ignore the burning sensation that floods his body as he does so. Sodo smiles slightly, pleased to see he did everything right, "Now what happens?" Mountain asks, the blood flow coming to a stop, "We wait." Sodo says, moving to grab the gauze that was caked in dust from Terzo's resurrection, "Here." he says unwinding the gause and wrapping his friend's wound, "Thanks." Mountain sighs, his body feeling worn down and tired. Sodo and Mountain move to the side of the room, watching as Y/n's body twitches and groans every few seconds, "How long is this going to take?" Mountain asks, tears filling his eyes as Y/n's body thrashes more and more, "Soon, it'll be over soon." Sodo responds, placing a comforting hand on his friend's shoulder. He pities how Mountain will definitely be scared from this, but he insisted.

After another minute, a black smoke emits from the altar and looms over Y/n's body, completely encapsulating them. Mountain takes a step towards them, Sodo holds him back, "It's okay, it's helping them." Sodo whispers, Mountain steps back against the wall. Y/n's body starts to levitate, the smoke wrapping around their limbs and entering their mouth. The salt and bones levitate too, becoming ash. A hellish scratch fills the room, the candle's light intensifies, then all stops. Y/n's body falls against the floor, they groan and move to sit up. Mountain runs to help them sit up, they're naked. Sodo turns his back respectfully.

"Y/n, Y/n it's me! It's Mountain, my love you're alive!" He exclaims, holding them to his chest. They try to open their mouth, but nothing comes out, Mountain looks down as their eyes fill with fear at not being able to talk, "They're not going to be able to talk for a long time. Their throat had to be completely repaired...the same happened with Terzo." he trails off at the end. Mountain sighs, "It's okay Y/n, we'll figure it out." He kisses them softly, nearly melting at the familiar feeling, "I'm never letting you out of my sight again."
