A/N~ okay so part of the idea for this stemed from a conversation I was having with my baby girl on twitter that turned into who even knows starting with me tweeting the lyrics for Lying Is The Most Fun (which is why the lyrics are in the first chapter) I was waiting for spn to start and boom the idea hit! I also loved the excuse to write out demon Beebo's transformation hehe. I don't know how long this will be, but I have an idea of where this will go, so I hope you'll like!
Also, this storyline kind of goes along with my "One Hell Of A Good Time" fic so expect some things ;) AKA SPOILERS YO if you didn't read that, it's gunna get a bit spoiled for you
~Skittles Out~
"Haven't seen one like him before."
"He looks kind of familiar?"
"You still have human memories! Haven't you been down here long enough?"
"Only a few centuries, gimme a break."
The two voices continued to go back and fourth. I scrunched my face as I felt myself waking up. There was still a lingering pain throughout my body that made me want to lay still.
"Hey, he's waking up." With that voice, I felt a light kick to my side. "Wake up, newbie."
I groaned and let my eyes open. I was greeted by two figures. One was leaning over me while the other stood off to the side, tilting its head at me.
The one right above me looked pretty normal... My eyes quickly caught sight of short red horns poking up from his straight black hair. I looked at his face, noting the human like characteristics...but also his black holes of eyes.
"Now that you mention it, he does kinda look familiar." The figure squinted at me, "That's weird..."
The one that was standing off to the side walked over and extended his hand. I took it and he helped pull me to my feet, my skin crackling with my movement.
"Thanks..." I trailed off. I looked at the face of the one that offered his hand and felt myself stiffen. I knew him. Not like how I thought the other one was familiar, but I knew this one for sure. He had light brown hair with a matching mustache. He had no horns, but he did have a dark tail that whipped back and forth. It was someone I had lost a long time ago.
"Spencer?" My voice cracked as memories flowed through my mind.
He gave me a shocked look. "How do you know me?.." He squinted at me once again.
"I-I..." There was so much I couldn't remember. What I could remember, was that this...creature, in front of me was someone I knew..
"You got shot. I-in some alley...Not too long after we had tried to start up our band..."
"You two know each other?" The dark haired creature asked, looking between us with his own tail trailing along the ground.
"Brendon?" Spencer nearly whispered my name. There was realization somehow behind his solid black eyes. He blinked and his eyes became a light brown.
Brendon. That name brought back more memories. Brendon Urie. That was me. My mind flashed pictures of my life. Pictures of happiness... Sadness... Every quick flash.
"How...How are you here?.." Spencer's hand rested on my shoulder. It crackled with his touch.
"Where is here?" I asked.
The other creature laughed. "Aaah, my friend, welcome to hell. Literally." He grinned at me, a flame behind his dark eyes.
Fire...combined with everything else about him...
"Wait a minute." I looked closer at him before it clicked in my head. "Pete!?"
The dark haired creature tilted his head at me.
"Do I know you?" He asked with a light laugh. He blinked and his eyes became normal. Normal as in human. A mixture of browns and greens, just like I remembered.
"You don't know me?" I asked. I could remember him vividly now. The last time I saw him, we were in that stupid abandoned church that went up in flames. Why the fuck did we consider that a good idea?..
Pete held up his hands. "Listen man, I've been down here for a good thousand years, easy. You start to loose things from up top, so if I knew you I don't really know you now."
"Thousand years?" I questioned, "Pete, you only died two years ago!"
"Hell time's different." He grinned.
I turned back to Spencer with confusion. He sighed and shook his head.
"Brendon... To be quite honest, I can barely remember you. Most people down here have only faint memories of up top. It'll happen to you too. With time. I have no idea how long I've been gone from up there, but it's been a few centuries down here."
I took a step back, considering everything he just said. If they were dead...Did that make me dead too?..
"Yea, you're dead." Pete answered my unspoken question with a smirk. He was so different from the depressed kid I had known. It was as if all his worry had been erased.
"I- I can't be dead." I shook my head, still trying to process everything. "I...I was doing something important..." I couldn't remember...
"Calm down, Brendon." Spencer said, lowly. "Listen, I help usher in new souls. It's my job down here. Pete's just tagging along because his boyfriend is busy."
"His boyfriend is busy." Pete mocked with a roll of his eyes. Spencer shot him an irritated look before turning back to me.
"Listen...Let me take you to my boss. He's better at this than me... Plus he's one of the oldest down here."
I gave him a look of uncertainty. Something was happening before this. Something important. I couldn't just waste time talking to several different... Whatever we were...
"You said hell." My head snapped over to Pete. I could remember before he died. The demon that saved him... "We're demons?"
Pete nudged Spencer. "The kid's smart." He smirked. He turned on his heels and began walking away. "Was it the horns or being in hell part that tipped you off?.." He called back to us.
"Don't mind him." Spencer said, "Just come on. My boss can answer your questions."
"Spencer, there's something important I'm missing!" I insisted, "I can't stay down here while I know that!"
Spencer crossed his arms. "Listen. We may have been friends in life, but here, I don't know you and I'm just trying to do my job. Now you can come with me or solve this shit on your own."
I was slightly taken back by the slight harshness to his tone. I didn't remember Spencer like that...but like he said, he barely knew me... Honestly, I didn't know myself very well at the moment either.
I nodded and he uncrossed his arms. He motioned me along and I followed. Every movement I made seemed to make my skin crackle.
I just wanted answers....
