Gauri's POV:

He came in and sat across me. then he did the unthinkable.

" I am sorry" he said in a low voice. Barely audible.  " pardon, I can't hear you properly" I said.

" I very well knew you heard me. I said I am sorry for yelling at you. Ok " he said. He's still having sunglasses on. seriously insane. jerk, stupid, arrogant .

" hey stop calling me names." he said as if he heard my thoughts while removing his sunglasses. wow, his eyes were shining bright but I could see some untold sorrow and desperation in those eyes. I felt some strange feelings . but my mind said why should I even care.

" whatever" I said and about to walk out but stopped by him . blocking my way. " now what?" I asked slightly irritated.

" I booked a reservation for dinner . be ready , we will leave at 7 pm" he said in commanding tone. who is he to order me?

" listen mister , I am not your servant to meekly follow your orders. I will not come " I spat.

" you will and you have to " he growled and took a step forward. I move back. this continued until my back hit the wall.

he placed his hand on both side so that I can't move. I can feel his minty breath and tried to be bold.

" you are my soon to be wife. so, better behave like one from now on. " he said while his right hand moved the hair that covered my face behind my ear.

we are in that position for some time until my aunt came in.

" tell her" he shouted at her and went out .
My aunty just nodded . He did what uncle can't do still now. Scaring my aunty like that.

" why are you doing like this? what if he changes his mind? just go for our sake." she said. this women is seriously nuts but not as my so called fiance.

It's only 1:30 . I didn't eat till now. my stomach started making noises.so, I came down.

Sameer's POV:

" hey hi" I greeted Arjun who's looking at a mobile angrily.
" it's definitely not yours . so, whose phone you were checking?" I asked him.

Soon a girl came and snatched the phone " it's bad to look into other's phone. You know." . She then walked away towards kitchen.

" so, is she the one?" I asked him in confusion.

" yes, come , I'll introduce her. " he smiled and took me to her. Introduce me but why when I already know her.

" he's my bestfriend and PA Sameer" he said to her. she nodded and sweetly said " hi" .  she pretended as if she doesn't knew me.what's going on here.

My wife Nisha and her are college friends. infact she's the one who signed as witness for our wedding at registrar office.  after 30 minutes,

"Sameer, come inside" she called. I went in. she asked me to sit and sat near me in dining table. she served me food and asked me to eat . while Arjun glared at me, she started to eat.

Arjun came and sat in front of us.

" come on. why are you looking at him? eat. my cooking is really good " she said while eating.

" for me?" Arjun asked.
" serve yourself. " she replied rudely and then turn towards me .
She started to ask about me and my job.
Arjun cleared his throat more often that she shut him by asking " did you have cold? If so, visit a doctor . Don't disturb us in between."
Arjun is looking like he will gobble me any second.
" Gauri. nice to meet you. " she offered her hand which I hesitantly shook after we are done with lunch.

" you knew me. then why are you doing like this ?" I asked her in a whisper. " just to piss him off." She chuckled finding the situation amusing . My stomach was already full with all the deadly glares Arjun gave me.

"Sameer, I think you have work. so leave." Arjun said coldly. I gave him the brand new samsung galaxy S5 and left.

" hey call me some time" she said casually while winking at me.

while I  picked up my bag " do you know him? what do you think you are doing?" I hear him ask her .

she left without saying anything. Gauri , please tell him about me before he kills me by his hard looks. she just smiled seeing me scratching my head while Arjun glares at me.

I called Nisha and told her about Gauri being Arjun's fiance.
She was shocked as she knows how bad Arjun treats his family. But what she doesn't know or see is that Arjun is a good guy. He has been hurt in some way .

Gauri's POV:

I changed into salwar kameez and went with him. he smirked at me giving me " I am impressed" look. Through out the ride, I looked out lowering the car window and enjoyed some air. soon we reached the place. once stopped, he gave me a Samsung Galaxy S5 mobile.

" for what?" I asked. " just a gift" he said. before he could say anything further,

" I will get it after a week then. I don't take gifts from strangers." I said and kept it back on his hand. he looked at me amused .

As soon as we entered, a guy came "Mr.Singh " shook his hands and took us to the table.

So, his name is some Singh I thought to myself.

A waitress came to take our orders.

Mr.Arrogant ordered all the dishes by himself without even asking me. Before I could retort, He got a phone call and walked to the corner. soon the order came.

" what do you need now, a special invite to eat ?" he asked while he came back and sat.

" well, since you ordered it, I thought you will also eat on behalf of me. " I hit back.

" eat. don't embarass me. " he glared. I didn't budge. " don't make me to feed you. you know I will " he said coolly. he seems like the man of words.

So , I gave up . we both ate in silence. I decided to start a conversation.

" so when are you going home ?" I asked.

" I am not going any where till our wedding. infact we all are leaving to our haveli in my native place tomorrow morning . "

Our haveli?

I gave him a questioning look.
" that's where our marriage is going to take place in six days. tomorrow night , we will be engaged . " he spoke as if he's presenting a ppt for clients. Pakha businessman.

" so what about your family? Are they awaiting us there?" I asked hopefully. But he didn't reply.he just nodded.

" how many members are there in your family? Do you have brother ? sister?" I asked .

" will you stop your questions and let me eat." he asked me rudely. how mean of him.

I miss my parents very much. I don't have any siblings . So, I always wished to marry in a big family.
I saw a mom-son duo sitting near our table , having a good time. So, I couldn't help but ask " your mother? Do you love her so much ?"

The moment I uttered those words, he just banged his fists in the  table which made all the things to fell down and soon the manager came to us.

I was sacred as he looked at me with anger filled eyes. I silently slipped away from that place while he's sorting the mess he created. freak!

Arjun's POV:

what the hell?

she was asking the very things that annoys, angers or infuriates me.

soon I paid the bill and for damages and looked for her. but she was nowhere to be seen .

I started my car and searched for her.

When I reached near her street, I saw her casually talking to a boy who is selling ice creams while having one.

I was relieved seeing her . But when I went near her, 

that boy " di, why there are so many people guarding your house?" 

" well, I suddenly became a VIP. so only . If you want to get any favour, come to me. " she laughed along with him. he stopped his laughter on seeing me.

she looked at me stunned but nevertheless paid him. He left .
" listen, I am sorry for that. but don't ever bring this topic again " I said at her while I held onto  her hand. she was taken aback for a moment but walked along with me. soon we reached her house. she didn't open her mouth throughout our walk. It felt nice to hold her hands. Her hands perfectly fit into mine . after she went inside the house, I sat outside in the entrance lost in my thoughts. why did she ask about them?

well, she has every right to ask idiot my heart replied sarcastically .

but little did this girl knew how much it hurts me.

when my aunt said about this proposal, I called her uncle personally and told how I feel about my family and not to bring up this topic. her uncle came out  after seeing Gauri ran to her room .
I asked him " does she knew about me?"

" no. my wife doesn't even bothered to tell her who you are back then. Gauri doesn't even know your name till now " he replied.

" but you should have told what I said to you by now." I reasoned. wait, she doesn't even know my name. strange girl. instead of asking about that nonsense stuff , she could have asked my name and about me.

" also she always wanted to live in a big family. how can I tell her that it's not going to happen. she already had a lot today. And I don't want to shatter her dreams. " Mr.Prakash said concerned.

Sameer came in at that moment and said " even the guests will ask about your family members, Arjun. we can't go on explaining each and every one.so I already made arrangements . they will be there tomorrow. Don't worry. I'll handle" .
had he not my best friend, I would have smacked his face for doing it.

I hate to see her face.
