Ch 1

The Titans stood in a loose semi-circle in front of the new villain. He was dressed in a sharp black tuxedo and held a black wand with a white tip. A tall tophat was balanced on top of a head of slick blue hair.

He looked like the type of magician you might find at a child's birthday party, performing parlor tricks while the crowd looked on in amazement. Except, this man was more than just a simple magician. He was a sorcerer.

This man was called Salt, a simple seasoning that had great potential for usage in magic, if enchanted correctly. Salt believed the name suited him, and he was quite fond of it, even if insolent brats like the Titans laughed when they heard it... 'They won't be laughing for long...' Salt thought to himself.

There was one reason, and one reason only that Salt had come to Jump city, and that reason was standing right in front of him. Raven. He could sense her power, it radiated off of her in waves. The others on her team didn't seem to realize the full breadth of her power, it was entirely possible that she herself didn't realize it, but Salt knew.

Robin shouted his signature battle cry, "Titans go!" and all of the teens rushed into battle.

Salt dodged attacks and sent minor spells this way and that, but he didn't really want to hurt anyone. He only wanted the girl. The petty crime he had committed had been bait to lure the team here.

Robin launched himself at Salt and rained down blows upon him. "Enough!" Salt shouted, sending out a wave of magic that sent all of the Titans to the ground. Beast Boy, Starfire, and Cyborg all lay motionless on the hard cement floor. Raven floated back into the air and Robin leapt up and stood in a fighting stance.

"Azarath, metrion, zin- Raven was cut off with a wave of Salt's hand. A shimmering grey rectangle of magic appeared over her mouth, acting like a gag.

"You should have chosen shorter words to focus your power little one." Salt said with a smile on his face. With another flick of his wrist, Raven was tied up with heavy chains. "Now, you shall be mine."

Salt held his hands a few inches apart and a ball of magic started to form between them. He lifted the ball of swirling golden light and hurled it directly at Raven... but there was one thing he had forgotten about. Robin.

Robin jumped in front of Raven and the magic struck him full on in the chest. His body sucked up the golden light like a sponge placed in water. Screams tore through his throat, echoing throughout the building. Robin fell to the ground and curled in on himself.

"NO!" Salt screamed. His concentration was broken as he ran his hand roughly through his hair, tophat having been knocked off during the fight.

Raven's eyes glowed and she easily broke through Salt's chains and gag. Azrath, metrion, zinthos!" She shouted and Salt was encased in the blackness of her magic.

"Robin!" Raven yelled as she ran to his side. The other Titans were groaning as they sat up.

When they noticed their leader lying on the ground the other titans rushed to his side. Raven felt for a pulse. It was strong, and his breaths didn't sound labored.

Beast boy shook Robin's shoulder, trying to get him to wake up, but he simply lay there.

Cyborg grabbed Robin and carried him out to the T car with the rest of the titans following. Raven came out of the building with Salt in tow, still encased in a circle of black.

When they got back to the tower Raven locked Salt in a small cell. Cyborg had built it to be able to contain people with magic and she had even tested it against her abilities. Hopefully it would be able to hold Salt.

Raven wasted no time getting up to Robin's room where he was laying on his bed with an IV sticking out of his arm.

"Does Raven know what is the problem with Robin? Why does he not do the waking up?" Starfire asked. "I can sing the Tameranian song of the morning awakenings..." she said uncertainly.

"Star, I don't think that'll help him. Whatever this is, it's got something to do with magic." Cyborg said gently.

Eventually the rest of the Titans left their leader to sleep in peace, most of them deciding to turn in early after the stress of the day.

Early the next morning everyone in the tower was awakened by screams. The screams were coming from Robin's room, and the whole team rushed to his door and nearly busted it down in their haste to get inside.

Everyone crowded around Robin's bed. The blanket was laying in a tangled mess and there were soft cries coming from beneath it. Beastboy carefully reached forward and lifted up the edge of the blanket. He peeked under the edge, then dropped the blanket back down with a gasp. Raven glared at him and used her magic to lift the blanket away.

What they saw underneath the blanket made the rest of the team gasp.

A tiny baby was laying on the bed, robin's uniform was wrapped around it, and there was a black domino mask hanging off of its face. Tear filled blue eyes looked up at the Titans who were all staring with open mouths.

"Robin?" Cyborg asked. The team looked at eachother, then back at baby Robin.

As the team watched, not knowing what to do, Robin's lip began to tremble and he soon burst into tears.

"What do we do?" Asked a panicking Cyborg.

Surprisingly, it was Raven who stepped forward. She wrapped baby Robin in the cape from his uniform and held him, bouncing him slightly and making a shushing noise to help calm him down.

Robin calmed down quickly, and lay in Raven's arms, staring at her purple hair in wonder.

"He needs some clothes. Diapers and baby formula too." Raven said calmly. "Starfire and I will go to the store to get the baby supplies. Can you two handle taking care of Robin while we are gone?" Raven asked, staring at Beast boy and Cyborg.

"We can totally handle it... How hard can it be right?" Raven shared a look with Starfire before laying Robin gently in Beast boy's arms.

"Be careful with him, and don't shake him. We'll be back soon." Raven said, before flying away with Starfire close behind.
--
Immediately after the girls left Robin started crying again. Cyborg covered his ears and said, "Dude make him stop."

"I don't know how!" Beast boy replied, gently bouncing the wailing baby in his arms like Raven had done. Beast boy set Robin into Cyborg's arms. "You take him."

"Me? I don't know how to take care of babies!" Cyborg shouted. Robin only screamed louder. "Turn into an animal or something!" Cyborg said, desperate for Robin to stop crying.

Beast boy turned into animal after animal. A monkey, ape, rino, dog, wolf, cat, horse, etc... but baby Robin wanted nothing to do with any of them. Beast boy desperately looked around the room. His eyes landed on a small plush elephant laying on Robin's tousled bed.

Beast boy shifted into the large animal and Robin's sobs stopped. His arms, which had gotten free from the blanket while he had been crying reached out towards Beast boy. Beast boy laid on the ground and Cyborg set Robin's bundled up form onto Beast boy's curled up trunk.

That's where Raven and Starfire found them 30 minutes later when they got back. Robin was sleeping peacefully on Beast boy's trunk and Cyborg was sitting close by, trying not to make any noise.

Raven dressed Robin in a light blue onesie. Luckily both the diapers and the clothing they had bought fit Robin well.

Once Robin was dressed, Raven set him down on a blanket that had been laid out on the floor while she made a bottle for him.

"What an adorable little bumgorf!" Starfire exclaimed when she walked into the room and saw Robin. She immediately scooped him up in her arms and carried him over to where Raven was.

"Here. You feed him." Raven said, handing the bottle she had just prepared to Starfire and leaving to put the baby formula away.

Starfire happily fed Robin his bottle. When he was done with it she laid him gently on her shoulder and patted his back to get him to burp up any air he might have swallowed while drinking his bottle.

Raven came into the room a few minutes later and saw Starfire standing with baby Robin sleeping peacefully in her arms.

"We really need to talk about what to do with Robin." Raven said. "There's no way we can keep a baby here. Babies need constant supervision."

"The little bumgorf requires his k'norfka... is not the Batman Robin's k'norfka?" Starfire said.

"Batman is Robin's guardian... if we bring Robin to him he'll know what to do." Raven mused.

"That is the great news! Where do we find the Batman?"

"He lives in Gotham." Raven said before walking off to find Cyborg and Beast boy.

A few minutes later the titans were all gathered on the couch in front of the large computer screen. The screen was showing a map of Gotham city.

"How will we know where to find Batman?" Beast boy said, still nearly shaking from excitement at the prospect of meeting THE Batman.

"Knowing him, we won't have to find him. He'll find us." Was Raven's reply.

"Doesn't Gotham have that bat-signal thing?" Cyborg asked. Beast boy nodded his head excitedly. "Maybe we could just use that." Cyborg finished.

"So we must use the signal of bats to summon the Batman." Starfire said, and there were nods of approval.

"Alright everyone. Let's get ready to leave." Cyborg said and everyone went their separate ways to prepare for the trip to Gotham.

About 15 minutes later the Titans were flying towards Gotham. Starfire had Robin with her in a baby sling, Raven was levitating Cyborg behind her, and Beast boy had turned himself into a peregrine falcon and was holding a bag with the baby supplies that Raven and Starfire had purchased.

When they finally reached Gotham they landed at the door of the GPD building. Beast boy shifted back into a human and they all walked inside.

"Hello. How can I help you?" A secretary asked from behind a desk near the door.

"We need to see the Batman." Starfire said.

The secretary looked at them sceptically for a moment before saying, "You'll have to talk to the Commissioner about that." She stood up and led them up a flight of stairs to a closed office door that said Commissioner Gordon on it. She knocked on the door before saying, "Hey Commish there are some kids here. They say they need to talk to Batman."

The door opened and the commissioner stood in front of them. "Teen Titans?" he said incredulously.

"We prefer just Titans." Cyborg said.

"We require an audience with the Batman." Starfire said, rising up to float a few inches off of the ground.

"I thought the Titans worked as their own separate organization. Why do you need to talk to Batman?" Commissioner Gordon asked.

The titans had discussed this before, and they had decided that they couldn't give away any details to Gordon, because they could be traced back to whomever Batman really was. So when Gordon asked Raven simply glared at him and said, "Superhero matters."

Gordon was more than a little bit frightened by her, so he led the team to the roof where the bat-signal was without any further protests.

"We will need to speak to him alone." Raven said once they were up on the roof and the signal had been turned on. Gordon just sighed and walked back into the building.

The Titans didn't have to wait long for Batman to show up. He swung down to the roof only a few minutes after they had turned the signal on.

"Titans." Batman growled, thinking over all the reasons they would be here in his head. His heart nearly stopped when he saw that Robin wasn't with them. Had something happened to his son? Was Robin... dead?

Beast boy looked like he was about ready to pass out from excitement, but everyone else seemed to be keeping their cool.

Starfire stepped forward and shifted the fabric of the sling that was wrapped around her. A tiny ebony haired baby was revealed, staring up at Batman with beautiful blue eyes. "We have brought your bumgorf; Robin." Starfire said, lifting the baby out of the sling and holding it out towards Batman.

"Robin?" Batman said, reaching out and tentatively taking the child from Starfire. "What happened?"

"A sorcerer named Salt turned him into a baby." Raven said, smiling slightly as Robin grabbed Batman's cape from over his shoulder and put it in his mouth.

"Is it reversible?" Batman asked gruffly.

"We don't know." Raven answered, shaking her head slightly.

"You are Robin's k'norfka. You will be able to take care of him, yes?" Starfire said, holding out the baby sling to Batman.

"Yes, I can take care of him." Batman said, handing Robin to Raven while he struggled to put on the baby sling. Starfire eventually helped him get it situated and put baby Robin inside.

Beast boy handed the bag of baby supplies to Batman and the Titans said their goodbyes before turning off the bat-signal and flying back towards Jump city.
