Jason's pov
"Beach city?" I said curiously "where's that at?" "It's on the eastern seaboard" Steven said, while looking up at the menu. "Okay, that's pretty far though" I said, with a hint of worry in my voice. "Don't worry, if you don't want to go you don't have to, but I can get my father to help with traveling if that's the problem" Steven said, smiling at me. "Okay they, were would I live?" I asked "and what about my dog" "don't worry, we already have that arranged, you will be in my old room, or my room in the temple" The boy said, lifting my worries. "Okay then, what time should we leave" I asked, thinking about what to pack. "I would like if you could be ready by next week, but whenever you feel you ready" "okay, well I should be ready by Friday" I said, finishing up my coffee. "I have one last request" Steven said right before I was about to get up. "What is it?" I said, slightly annoyed. "Can I see your gem?" Steven said "I would like to see one of my strongest gems in my army" "sure" I said pulling up my right sleeve. "Wow" The boy said with stars in his eyes. "Well I'll be leaving now" I said while standing up and pushing my chair in. "See you Friday" I grumbled, walking out of the building.

I got in my car and drove back to my apartment. "Ugh, it's gonna be a shame to leave here" I sighed, walking into my apartment. I grabbed my suitcases and began to think of what to pack. "What should I take with me cupcake?" I asked my golden retriever, "Ruff". "Yeah I should take my X-box" I said, putting it to the side. I walked into my room and grabbed my clothes from dresser- or my ex dresser. I walked towards my bed and removed it's sheets and took everything else off of it. "Goodbye old room" I said, shutting the door for the last time. I grabbed everything else from my bathroom and kitchen and then sat down on my couch and began to watch down tv. "I think I'll take a nap...." I yawned, laying down on my couch.
Jason's dream
"Wow, this apartment is decently sized, it has a bathroom, a good sized kitchen, a living room and two bedrooms!" I said looking at the real-estate worker in front of me. "I'll take it!" I yelled, walking inside my soon to be home......
Dream shifts to an alleyway
"W-who are you?" I shakily said staring at the men in front of me. "Don't worry, we won't hurt you, as long as you give us all the valuables on you" the man said, smirking. "I don't have anything" I said backing up. "Well let's see about that" a short man said, pulling out a switchblade. "Here, look" I said throwing them my wallet, and emptying my pockets. "He wasn't lying boss" the short man said, in a grumbly voice. "Well then, looks like we'll have to teach him a lesson" the first man said, stepping towards me. "Please don't hurt me" I yelled
End of dream
"Don't hurt me!" I shot up from the couch. I frantically looked around, seeing if those people were here. "It was just a dream....." I mumbled getting up. "Woof" I looked to my right to see my dog looking at me. "Hehe, sorry if I scared you girl" I chuckled petting her on the head. "Well know that I finished packing what should I do?" I pondered, resting my chin in my right hand. "Well it's about 1 so maybe I'll go get something to eat" I sighed, getting up and putting my shoes on. "I'll be back soon cupcake" I yelled, grabbing my car keys and walking out the door. I got in my car, turned the keys in the ignition and drove off. "Hmm.... Where should I go?" I said turning up my music. "I know, there was diner I always wanted to try" I said, taking a right at a red light. "Here we are". I Pulled up to a place called "Cally's diner". I walked in and saw a sign that said, "you may seat yourself" I walked towards a small booth in the back of the diner, with a window beside it looking out at the road. I enjoyed watching the cars pass by, it was beautiful to see the cars color blur together with their headlights. "Hello sir, what can I get ya?" I women who looked about 30 said. "Um can I get a coffee for know? Just black will be fine" I said, look at the menu. "Sure thing sweetheart" she said, and walked towards the kitchen. 'Ooh, I should totally go for the pancakes! And maybe some bacon to!' I thought to myself, my mouth watering at the thought of the food. The lady came back with my coffee and asked me what I wanted to eat. "I'll take the pancakes please, with a side of bacon" I said handing her the menu. "Good choice" she said walking back into the kitchen. About 15 minutes later she came back with my food. "Here you go sweetheart" she said, placing my food on the table. I said a quick prayer and began to dig into my food, I ate the pancakes first and then got into the bacon. Once I finished my food and coffee, I got the check and went to the front counter to pay. "Here you go" I said handing the lady the money. "Bye" she said, looking at the register. I walked out of he diner and back into my car and drove back to my house. "Home sweet home" I yawned, stretching my arms, kicking off my shoes in the process. I heard a loud bark coming from the kitchen, and the scrambling of a dog. "What the-" I was cut off by cupcake tackling me and kicking my face. "Calm down girl" I laughed petting the dog laying on me. "Okay girl, I need to get up" I said gently pushing her off me. I looked at my watch and decided to go to bed. I walked into my bedroom and saw the pair of clothes I left sitting out. I tossed them on and jumped into my bed, slowly falling asleep
Fats forward two days
"Finally the day we move" I said putting my two suitcases in my trunk. I opened the passenger side door and let cupcake hop in. I got in the car and starting driving toward the cafe. I saw Steven waiting outside for me. I honked my horn and he looked up from his phone and walked up to my car. "Nice car you have" he said opening the door to my car. "Thanks, so we'll be driving to beach city" I said, turning around in my seat to look at Steven. "Yep, now let's get going" Steven said, sitting down and buckling up. I pulled out of my parking space and began to drive. "Sorry for making you sit in the back" I said, looking at the road. "It's no problem" the dark haired teen reassured "besides I'm pretty sure your dog would need it more" Steven laughed, looking at cupcake as she stuck her head out the window. Cupcake jumped into the back seat and sat in Stevens lap, licking his face. "I think she likes you" I laughed stopping at a red light. "What's her name?" Steven asked, petting the dog sitting on him. "Cupcake, I got her about two years back" I chuckled, driving ahead. "She's adorable" Steven said, petting the dog on the head. "Yeah, I found her a couple of years ago, I was performing surgery on her leg and she had no home so I took her in" I said, remembering that day. " so you're a veterinarian?" Steven asked rubbing cupcakes tummy. "Well not yet, I'm still working on my degree, but I was interning" I sighed, already missing the small veterinarians office I worked at. "Well we have one in beach city, it's actually pretty busy surprisingly" The teen said, putting a smile on my face. "Well I have to check it out when a get there" I said, unable to wipe the smile off my face
1 week later
"Here we are!" I shouted, passing the sign saying we're in beach city. "Home sweet home" Steven said, looking at the window. "So where do you live?" I asked, driving into the little town "on the beach" the dark haired boy said excitedly. I pulled up to the beach and saw a beautiful looking temple. "Is that the place?" I breathlessly said, gazing at the temple. "Yep, now let's go!" He yelled hopping out of the car once I parked. I grabbed my stuff and walked up the stairs and walked into the house. There I saw 7 gems sitting in the room. "Who are you people" I asked. "We are the crystal gems" a tall dark one said, with a weird pair of glasses on. "And maybe you could ask a little nicer next time. "A short green one said. "And why should I listen to a little green goblin?" I shot back, earning a glare from the blue one. "You better watch what you say to my friends!" The blue one said and shot a water hand at me. I instinctively froze it, causing it to stop in mid air. "That........ was so cool!" Steven said, with stars in his eyes. "Awesome!" A short purple one shouted. "Impressive" the pale one said. "Now who are you?" A muscular person with rainbow hair asked. "My name's Jason kyanite" I stated, staring at her. "A kyanite?! I need to spar with you some time" she said chuckling "my name's bismuth by the way" she said, putting out her hand to shake. I shake her hand and dropped my stuff on the ground. "So I'm assuming your all gems?" I asked, looking at the 7 people in the room. "Yes, I'm garnet, a fusion, that's pearl" she said pointing to the pale one "that's amethyst, peridot, lapis, and bismuth' she finished pointing towards the others as I spoke. "So the gremlin has a name" I said, earning a death glare from lapis. "Well it was nice meeting you all" I said and walked out onto the beach
