Jason's pov
"Okay well what's the message" I curiously said. "He wants you to meet him at the Java bean cafe tomorrow at 9:00 am" Leslie said while turning around, ready to walk away. "Wait" I cried out grabbing the short mans arm. "Why does he want to talk to me?" "I'm not allowed say, I've already told you this" Leslie said gently moving My arm. "Fine" I mumbled walking back into my apartment, slamming the door behind me. 'What would he want with me?' I thought as I walked towards my bedroom. I walked into my room and was about to close the door when cupcake came in. "Oh sorry girl" I chuckled, petting her on the head. I walked towards my dresser and grabbed some clothes to change into. I grabbed a pair of blue boxers with black stripes, down sweatpants, and a green t-shirt. I opened my door and walked towards my bathroom to take a shower. As soon as I walked in I began to undress. Once I get my shirt off I looked into my mirror, directly at the gem on my shoulder. It was a circle cut like a Quartz, but with a dark blue color. I reached my hand up and touched it, shivering at weird feeling of it. I remember when I was about 17 I ran way from home, and I went into this alleyway as a short cut but ran into a couple of people. They beat me up pretty bad and left me their to bleed out. They cracked my gem to, leaving me helpless, and this was before I had control on my pyro and cryo kinesis. I remember this boy though, he looked 13, and he rubbed something on my gem and it healed. I still never found out the boys identity but when I do, I'm going to find out how he healed me, and thank him course. I stripped off the rest if my clothes and hopped into the shower, enjoying the warm water running down my body. After washing my hair and body I turned off the shower and stepped out grabbing a towel of the rack beside my sink. I dried myself off and changed into my clothes and proceeded towards my bedroom. I walked in and sat down on my bed, grabbing my phone off my nightstand. I was browsing through Instagram when I felt something jump onto my stomach. I looked away from my phone to see my golden retriever sitting on me. "Oh hey cupcake" I said letting her head. She rolled off me and onto the bed beside me. She rolled onto her back indicating she wanted me to pet her. "I swear you are the only life form I will ever be this nice to" I grumbled while petting her tummy. Cupcake growled when I removed my hand from her stomach, and jumped back onto me, nuzzling her head between my phone and my face. "You really love attention don't you?" I chuckled while petting her head. I placed my phone back on my nightstand, and set an alarm for seven. "Goodnight girl" I said closing my eyes.......
Jason's dream
"Father, why did mommy have to go?" I said looking up at the man in front of me. "Because you were born!" He said taking another swig of his beer "because you, y-you fucking mistake!"
He chugged the rest of his beer and threw the empty glass bottle at me, hitting me directly in the face. I felt a sharp pain go across my face making me fall to my knee's. I held in my scream knowing if I did he would only do worse. "Go clean yourself up you damn idiot!" He barked, picking me up and throwing me at the staircase. I ran up the stairs and towards the bathroom, and ran in, closing the door behind me. I looked in the mirror, seeing blood pouring from a massive cut on my face, starting above my eye, and ending at my bottom lip. I grabbed a towel and wet it a little in the sink and gently rubbed it on my wound. I hissed in pain when it touched it, but continued you on anyway. Once I wiped the blood off, and reached under the sink and grabbed some disinfectant wipes and began to clean the cut. Once that was done I grabbed some wraps and wrapped up part of my face so the wound could heal. I walked out of the bathroom and into my bedroom to try to sleep.......
End of dream
I shot up at the sound of my alarm, a looked to my right to see me dog curled up on my bed. "I bought you a dog bed but you never use it" I laughed while getting up walking towards my dresser to pick out something to wear. I grabbed a blue t-shirt with a cross over of Mario and DBS, a pair of black jeans and black nike socks and a pair of green converse high tops. I walked into my bathroom and began to change into my clothes when I thought back to my dream. I ran a hand across the scar on my face, feeling hatred bubbling inside me. I quickly walked out of the room and back into mine to grab my phone. Cupcake looked up at me and my anger immediate disappeared. "Why are you so adorable" I said, petting her on the head. I grabbed my phone and walked into the kitchen and filled up cupcakes dog bowl with food and have her some water. "Hey cupcake, your breakfast is in here" I yelled and I immediately began to hear her running. I walked into the living room and say down on my couch and decided to watch some tv until it's time to go.
1 hour later
"Guess it's time to go" I said, moving cupcake off me so I could get up. Once I was off the couch I put my shoes back on and grabbed my car keys and walked out the door. I walked towards my silver, 2010 Hyundai. I slid into the car and put the keys into the ignition and started up the car. As I started driving I turned on the radio to here one of my favorite songs, "how to save a life" by Fray. I pulled up to the Java bean cafe and walked in and sat door at a table for two in the far right corner of the building. I looked at my phone to see that the time was 8:55 so I decided to order myself a coffee. "Excuse me ma'm can I have one coffee please, with some sugar" "that'll be 2.95" he lady said and I handed her the money. She walked back to the coffee maker and came back with my coffee and handed it to me. "Have a good day" she said politely. "Yeah you to" I said and walked towards my table. As I was sitting down a boy, who looked about 15 walked in. He had black curly hair that was pulled back he was wearing a red t-shirt with a yellow star on it and in the middle of the star was a gem. 'Is he a hybrid to?' I thought as I stated at the boy. He began to walk towards me and I panicked. 'What if he's here to hurt me, or maybe he's going to-' my thought were cut off by the boy. "Hello" he said a sat down in the seat in front of me. "My names Steven, and I'm assuming that your Jason?" He asked raising an eyebrow. "Y-yeah. I'm Jason, why did you want me here?" I asked t voice wavering. "Well I know that your a hybrid, I'm one to" Steven said, painting to his gem. "That's cool" I said feeling relieved. "What type are you?" I asked, looking at his gem. "Well I'm a diamond hybrid" Steven chucked. "Um, what's that?" I said, feeling embarrassed that I didn't know. "Well there the rulers of all the gems, my mom was pink diamond, or Rose Quartz, I'll explain it later but first let's talk about you. What type are you?" Steven said. "My mother was a kyanite" I said "I never really understood why she was here" "well from what yellow and blue told me that they were key parts of my moms army. There were very few since they were extremely powerful, with there fire and ice control they weren't really a need for a lot of them" Steven said, making my eyes become as wide as saucers. "Wow" I said, awestruck. "Yeah, they would literally destroy the planet they were made on in their wake" The 15 year old said. "So why did you want to talk to me?" I breathlessly said. "Well I would like for you to meet the crystal gems, they're a group of gems who have been protecting earth" He said "and I think you would make a great addition to the team" "sure...... But where are they?" I asked my unsure if I want to meet them. "Don't worry, their nice people once you get to know them" Steven said, almost reading my mind "so, where are the located?" I asked again. "In beach city"
