Not My Girlfriend

"Unnie... I.. I need to pee." Bomi continued. The girl was starting to fidget a lot. "Shit, I really, really have to pee right here and right now." She began to shake violently, causing Chorong to almost lose her balance.
"Stop bouncing!! You'll break my back!" Chorong snapped in annoyance.
"Unnie please!! I really need the toilet baaaaadly. It's at its brim!!" Bomi cried. Her bladder could burst any moment.
"Are you freaking kidding me? There isn't any toilet in this deserted place!! Just try to hold it in till we reach home okay?"
"I can't!!" Bomi was beginning to panic. Her face was already contorted. "My bladder's full!"
"Did you drink the entire pacific ocean?!?" Chorong bent her knees to let Bomi down. "Ugh, go piss in that drain."
"No! It'll splatter everywhere!" The look of horror was evident on Bomi's face.
"Fine, then pee in your pants and walk home alone," Chorong retorted, her patience thinning.
Chorong only looked away for one second, and when she turned to look back at Bomi, she was greeted by a pale faced Bomi... and the soft sound of a running tap nearby... Except the sound didn't come from a tap. Her eyes travelled down to Bomi's ripped blue jeans and she noticed a fresh patch of wetness near the girl's crotch area.
"YOON BOMI!"
Bomi flinched at Chorong's sharp scream. But the horror didn't stop there. Her throat felt funny. She was struggling to stop herself from vomiting because she dared not face Rongtler's wrath. But boy, did her effort go to waste because she suddenly puked all of her stomach's contents onto Chorong's clothes. When she looked up to face Chorong, she was met with a death glare. Then, everything in sight turned pitch black.

"Ouch," Bomi whimpered as her poor head accidentally hit against the toilet door. She slowly opened her heavy lidded eyes, and noticed the familiar surrounding of the toilet. The realization that she was finally back in her safe haven made her heave a sigh of relief.
"Can you remove your shirt and jeans on your own? You're pretty sober, aren't you? Since you sounded rather coherent when you whined about having to urgently relieve your bladder earlier on," Chorong nagged as she settled Bomi on the lid of the toilet bowl seat. The older girl took off her cardigan and placed it in the sink. She made a mental note to herself to discard that article of clothing if the smell continued to linger even after a third wash. She then groaned in frustration at the thought of having to clean her car seats later in the morning, since the time now was already 2am.
"Unnie... This toilet smells.."
"No, you idiot. That stench comes from your disgusting vomit and urine, remember?" Chorong growled as she glared at the younger girl who looked absolutely clueless.
Vomit? Urine? Bomi had no idea what Chorong was talking about as her mind was still hazy. So she lazily pulled her shirt over her head, and slid her jeans off before handing them to Chorong.
"No, no! Don't unhook your bra right now!" Chorong yelped as she grabbed Bomi's wrist before that girl could reveal herself in her naked glory.
"But you told me to remove my clothes," Bomi pouted.
Chorong let out an exasperated sigh. This was going to be tough.

By the time Chorong was done with her shower, it was already half past 4 in the morning. Chorong groaned. She thought she would have gotten the hang of it over the years of practice, since it had been the nth time that she had to bathe the troublesome girl, but the duration spent seemed to only increase each time instead.
She made her way to Bomi's room to check on her, and found the girl sleeping soundly. She tiptoed into the room, so that she wouldn't make a sound and disturb the sleeping beauty. Chorong smiled upon seeing Bomi's peaceful look on her face. The sight warmed her heart. She was about to turn on her heel when she felt a hand tugging on her wrist, then pulling her to bed.
"Sleep here unnie, it's been awhile since you slept with me. You know I sleep best with you," Bomi muttered.
"O..kay," Chorong hesitated. She settled beside Bomi and made herself comfortable under the blanket. This wasn't the first time they slept together, and Chorong was sure it wouldn't be the last either. It wasn't like they had ever gone further than just sleeping. Chorong would never take advantage of Bomi.
As she faced Bomi, Chorong lightly traced her finger along the outline of the younger girl's face. Bomi's slight movement caused Chorong to instinctively retract her hand. The older girl rolled over to the other side. Her breath hitched when she felt Bomi wrapping her arms around her waist. Her heart stopped when the younger girl swung her leg over her own. Her entire body stiffened when Bomi pulled her closer. Slowly steadying her uneven breaths, Chorong let herself melt completely into Bomi's warm body.
"Mmm, strawberries..." Bomi mumbled, as her soft breaths brushed against Chorong's neck.
Chorong couldn't sleep. She was bothered. Bothered by Bomi. She couldn't understand why Bomi constantly initiate such intimacy when they weren't even a couple in the first place. Friends don't spoon each other when they sleep together, do they?
She has a girlfriend, Chorong. That sentence was replayed over and over in her head like a mantra. Her mind then subconsciously drifted to the memory of their first encounter three years ago.

"Hey, watch where you're going!" Chorong shouted at the figure who bumped into her.
"Sorry," the person apologised sincerely, retracing her steps. "I was in a rush, I'm sorry I didn't pay attention to my surroundings."
"It's okay," Chorong answered, suddenly feeling bad for raising her voice at the stranger so she gave a small smile.
The stranger returned the smile and quickly walked off.

"So, have you tidied up the apartment?" Mrs Park asked, at the other end of the line.
"Yeah... I can't believe you're making a stranger live with me." Chorong complained. She wasn't very keen on the idea of having someone she had zero knowledge of living under the same roof as her for the next few years.
"Come on, sweetie. That stranger you're talking about is the daughter of my childhood friend. Her daughter just happens to be going to the same school as you, so I suggested your place. Don't worry about the bills, it's not like she'll be living there for free. Do me a favour and take good care of her alright? She's two years younger than you. So be a good older sister to her okay?"
"Yes ma'am." Chorong replied as she looked out of her window. "What's the kid's name again?"
"Yoon-"
KNOCK! KNOCK!
Chorong made her way to the head apartment door when she heard the knocking. "Hey mum, I think she's here. Talk to you later. Love you. Bye." She ended the call and slipped her phone into the pocket of her pants. As she headed towards the door, she recognised the familiar 'Shave and a Haircut' rhythm that the person was using to knock. She took a deep breath and swiftly opened the door.
"You again??" Chorong gasped. She definitely didn't expect the very stranger whom she bumped into the previous day to be her housemate.
"Err... Are you Park Chorong-ssi?" the female stranger nervously enquired as she scratched her head.

Perhaps it was Mrs Park's constant 'Be a good older sister to Bomi' reminders that made Chorong genuinely treat Bomi like a younger sibling. She was always looking out for the younger girl. She was always clearing up after the younger girl's mess. Perhaps that was the reason why Bomi viewed Chorong as an older sister. Perhaps it was also why Bomi didn't mind Chorong bathing her when she got wasted. Bomi was an only child, she never knew what it felt like to have another sibling taking care of her, and Park Chorong fit that role perfectly.
The difference was that Park Chorong eventually found herself falling for Yoon Bomi. She wasn't quite sure why. Maybe it was that playful glint in Bomi's eyes everytime she was up to something, that pulled Chorong in. Or maybe it was Bomi's garbled speech (which Chorong actually found endearing) whenever she was drunk that got Chorong loving every single imperfection of hers.
On the other hand, Yoon Bomi... that girl didn't seem to like Chorong in that way. She has a girlfriend, Chorong reminded herself once more. If Yoon Bomi was actually interested in her, they would have gotten together, wouldn't they? Chorong sighed. She could hear the light snores of the girl who was hugging her so tightly.
Soon enough, the older girl drifted off into dreamland, as she placed her hand on top of the younger girl's hand.

Bomi stared at her food. She was really hungry, but her head was still hurting although it wasn't that bad. She swallowed the painkiller and gulped down the glass of water, that Chorong had prepared for her, in one go.
"How come you're still home?" Bomi asked before taking a bite of the sunny side up egg on her plate.
"I had to clean my car in the morning, since it had such a foul smell," Chorong casually said.
"I really did soil myself, didn't I?" Bomi felt really embarrassed. But she felt even more bad that she had troubled the older girl. "I'm sorry I keep giving you all sorts of trouble. Why didn't you wake me up? I could have helped to clean up."
"No worries," Chorong assured. It wasn't like Bomi's troubles were that serious. The girl was just... a bit immature. "I didn't wake you up because I didn't want to bother you."
That ended their conversation so the both of them ate in silence. Chorong quietly wondered if Bomi had heard her confession. But knowing Bomi, that girl probably didn't.
"A penny for your thoughts," Bomi stated, breaking the silence.
Chorong shook her head. "Are you working tonight?"
"Yeah. You're not working today?" Bomi queried.
"I am. I'm clocking in at 12." Chorong answered. She briefly looked at her watch. "Which is in half an hour's time."
Bomi sighed. "The perks of being your own boss huh."
"Yeah," Chorong smiled. "Are you going?"
Bomi nodded. "I'm meeting Amber unnie there. So I'll go to the cafe with you!"
Amber. Of course.
She has a girlfriend. That chant repeated in Chorong's head once again.
