CHAPTER TEN, kung fu cop

Kate was leaning against the railing of the stairs, standing beside Eddie, when she looked to her right upon seeing rushed footsteps and Jack yelling, "I got it! guys, I got it!"

Jack stops running once he reaches his friends, standing between Eddie and Jerry. "The line at Game Player was a mile long. I didn't get any sleep, but it was so worth it."

Kate raises her eyebrows at him. "You seriously wasted a night of sleep for a game?"

Jack turns to her dramatically, looking at her like he was offended by what she said. He points at her. "Okay, it wasn't a waste. When you really want something you will do anything to get it. And by anything I mean wait in line all night and not get any sleep." He shrugs and smiles. "Like I said, it was worth it." He raises his eyebrows at her and crosses his arms. "And didn't you wait all night to get tickets to a Big Time Rush concert that one time?"

"Okay," Kate sheepishly smiles, her face turning a light shade of pink out of embarrassment when the other three boys glanced at her with amusement. She nods. "Good point." She smiles to herself when she remembered that concert she went to. She and Kim were able to get front row seats, but they had to pay the price of getting their super early and waiting in line many hours to get those tickets. It was totally worth it though because now Kate has a picture with the BTR boys and a sign that was signed by the BTR boys she had got signed at the meet and greet that was after the show.

"So," Kate drags out the word, deciding on changing the subject, and crosses her arms. She smiles slightly at Jack. "What game did you wait all night for?"

Jack smiles widely and shows his friends the game he got. "I am the proud owner of Kung Fu Cop 77."

His friends smile at him and comment their words of excitement. "Nice!" Yeah!"

"I know what you have to go through when there's a hot new game on the market." Milton smiles. "I had to wait two hours when French Horn Hero came out."

Kate looks at him with surprise and Eddie said what she was wondering. "There was a line for French Horn Hero?"

"No, there was a line of jocks waiting to see who was gonna buy it." Milton explained.

Kate nods. "That makes more sense."

"Hey, guys." Kim greeted the group as she walked by them.

"Hey, Kim." The five teens responded.

"Yo, Eddie," Jerry stands by Eddie, throwing an arm around his shoulder. "I heard Stacy Weisman in your gym class really likes you."

Eddie smiles. "She likes me?" When Jerry nods in response, Eddie's smile widens. "I'm gonna ask her out."

Kate chuckles lightly and Jack scoffs. "Do you even know who she is?" Jack asked Eddie.

"No." Eddie shakes his head. "But she's a girl, and that's my type." He replied, raising his eyebrows up and down twice.

"Don't ask me how I know, 'cause I'm not revealing my sources." Jerry guides Eddie over to the lockers and Kate, jack, and Milton follow them. "Let's just say I know people. I'm dialed in."

Kate rolls her eyes and shakes her head. She knew for a fact what he said was a lie. "You are not dialed in, Jer."

Kim nods in agreement. "He accidentally walked into the girls' bathroom and heard her talking."

"Whatever, girls." Jerry said sassily, rolling his eyes. "My point is, I had my ear to the ground."

Kate crosses her arms, looking at him with an amused smile. "You had your ear to the ground because security tackled you for being in the girls' bathroom." Kim explained and Jack, Eddie, and Milton chuckled at Jerry. Kim took off her scarf, putting it in her locker.

"Woah, Kate, that bracelet is the ugliest, creepiest thing I've ever seen in my life." Jerry notices the bracelet on Kate's right wrist. The bracelet was one of those bigger wrist bracelets girls wore back in the seventies, but this one had a dragon's eye on the front of it and was outlined with gold chain. He smiles at the brunette-haired girl. "Can I have it?" He reached out to grab it, pulling his hand away with a winced when Kate slapped it.

"No! Back away, Jer."

"What's up with the eye necklace, Kate?" Kim questions. She leans back, looking at it with a nervous expression. "It's kind of creeping me out."

"My aunt gave me some of her jewelry from the seventies." Kate responds. "I hate to wear it 'cause she's staying with us and I don't want to hurt her feelings by not wearing it and saying I don't like it." She points at the bracelet and chuckles. "Apparently this bracelet is called the Dragon's Eye, and she says it has magical powers." She explained, letting go of her necklace to close her locker. Her friends smile at her and comment on it.

"Nice."

"Cool."

Shaking her head, Kate grimaces. "She's also someone who says she's married to Patrick Swayze. She's a little crazy so I wouldn't believe everything she says." She added and her friends nodded in realization.

The bell rings seconds later, signaling for the next class to start. "Alright, time for gym class." Eddie grins. "I'm gonna show Stacy Weisman what I've got."

When Eddie yanks off his pants to reveal shorts underneath it, his friends all had disgusted or shocked expressions on their faces and even looked away. Kate's eyes widen, and she covers her eyes. "Gonna be scarred for life now." She joked and some of her friends chuckled at her comment.

"My mom says I'm not gonna have these legs forever, so baby, I'm gonna use 'em." Eddie smirked and then ran off.

Jack glances at Kate to see she's still covering her eyes and he chuckles lightly. He playfully elbows her. "'Kay, Rina. He's gone now." He reassured her and Kate lowered her hand, sharing a smile with Jack.

****

It was obvious that Jack was tired. Kate could tell by the way he couldn't stop yawning and by the bags under his eyes. It was now the next day after school and Kate and her friends were at the dojo.

"Well, I got to first base with Stacy Weisman." Eddie admits.

Kate smiles at him. "That's great, Eddie!"

"Huh," Jerry said with a bit of surprise, but he smiles. "I told you my sources were right."

"Not exactly. We were playing softball, I asked her out, and she hit me with first base." Eddie frowns. "Turns out, she likes Steve Hubbard." He said and Kate smiled sympathetically at him, feeling bad for the boy.

"That's the guy who stole my bike." Milton spoke up.

"Why do girls always go for bad boys?" Eddie inquired.

"Because sometimes they give them bikes that used to belong to other people." Milton replied.

Kate chuckles lightly and glances at the door to her cousin's office when she heard it open. Rudy walks out, covering the lower half of his face with a magazine. "Okay, everyone, I've not shaved in over a month. Behold my full blown man-stache." He pulled down the magazine to reveal his mustache. Kate covered her mouth to stifle a laugh. To her, it looked like it was poorly drawn on by black sharpie.

Jack laughs. "My Aunt Connie has a thicker man-stache." Rudy sent him a glare, causing Jack to grow quiet.

"Aw, it's cute!" Kim smiles. "Like a little moldy shoelace."

This was when Kate couldn't hold her laugh in and her cousin looks at her with offense. "I'm sorry!" Kate apologizes. "But have you seen what you look like?" She looks at him with an amused smile, pointing at him. "You look ridiculous."

"I think I look great." Rudy argues. He looks at Kim with offense. "And cute? This is the same mustache that Bobby Wasabi has." He smiles. "It really started bushing out when I tried this." He walks over to his locker to open it, setting the magazine inside and grabs a bottle before closing his locker. He shows the bottle to everyone. "Dr. Follicle's Hari Fertilizer is the beard and mustache grower endorsed by lumberjacks, bikers, and rabbis."

"Wow," A look of surprise forms on Milton's face. "Those three groups don't usually agree on anything."

"Uh, Jack?" Kate glances over at Kim with confusion when the blonde said that and looks over at Jack, furrowing her eyebrows upon seeing he was leaning in his locker. Kim walks over to Jack and claps loudly. "Jack!"

Jack goes to stand up, hitting his head in the process. Kate cringes along with Kim. Jack stands up, turning to face everyone. His hair was now messed up from leaning on the locker floor. He looks at everyone apologetically. "Sorry. I was up all night playing Kung Fu Cop 77." He grins. "You go back in time with Bobby and play a bell-bottomed super freak. Last night, I took out eight ninjas with one disco ball."

"Wait, so now you haven't slept for two nights in a row?" Eddie realized.

"Ah, so what?" Jack waves a dismissive hand. He walks over to Milton. "Let's spar, Milton." He bowed to Milton before walking onto the mat.

Kate watched him with a concerned expression on her face. She was worried about him. You can only go with so many sleepless nights. Milton got on the map and after they both bowed to each other the two boys got into a fighting stance.

Jack goes to attack first, but Milton blocks him. When Jack goes to try to hit him again, Milton grabbed his arm and flipped him over onto his back. Jack groaned when he landed on the mat.

"Oh my gosh." Kate gasps, sharing a surprised look with Kim, who now stood by her. "The impossible happened. Milton defeated Jack." Milton had never defeated Jack before. Kate assumed that now Jack was so tired he was having trouble fighting which was probably why Milton won the sparring match.

"Holy Christmas nuts!" Milton exclaims, looking surprised about what he did. "I don't know what just happened, but I think I just became a man!" He gasps. "I've gotta call my father."

Rudy goes over to Jack, helping him up to his feet. "Jack, go to my office, lie down, and take a nap."

Jack scoffs. "Rudy, I'm fine." He wraps his arm around Jerry, who stood by him. He smiles. "Tell him, Eddie."

"Oh, no, I'm Jerry." Jack looks at him with wide eyes when he realized who Jerry was and takes his arm off of him as he steps away. Jerry smiles. "The good-looking one."

"Jack, I'm not gonna let you spar. It'd be dangerous." Rudy said. "I'm telling you, just go to my office."

Kate and the others started to practice sparring or did stretching while Rudy and Jack talked. Kate couldn't help but listen in to their conversation. It was hard not to when they were only a few  inches away.

"Rudy, you can't tell me what to do." Jack retorted.

"I can in this dojo." Rudy argues. "I'm your sensei, and I'm telling you to go lie down."

"Fine." Jack grumbles. He walks over to Rudy's office. "But while I'm in there, I hope nothing happens to your secret stash of cashews."

Rudy gasps dramatically and loudly. He points at Jack. "How did you know about my secret stash of-" He changes moods in the middle of his sentence, pretending like he doesn't care. "Oh, the cashews? Help yourself."

****

Jack didn't mean to fall asleep. He had found out that Rudy had the movie version of the game Kung Fu Cop 77 so he put that in the tv and laid on the couch to watch it. But he ended up falling asleep just a few moments after the movie had just started.

When Jack was awake from his nap by someone shaking him, he did not expect for Eddie to be yelling at him or for Eddie to look completely different from a few minutes ago. Eddie had black hair on the back of his head and the sides of his head with the top of his head being bald. He had a mustache and his eyebrows were thicker. His outfit looked like something from the seventies with the white shirt being covered in orange and black designs and the tie he wore had different designs on it, covered with bright yellow, dark red, and a mix of grey.

"Eddie?" Jack questioned, furrowing his eyebrows with confusion.

"It's Chief Eddie to you!" Eddie yells. "If I wanted to stare at a long-haired bucket of drool, I'd go home and wake up my wife!" Jack continues to look at him with confusion and now with surprise. What the heck was happening? Since when did Eddie have a wife? Eddie gestures for Jack to follow him. "Now come with me!"

Jack stands up, eyes widening when he saw the funky outfit he had on. He wore orange bell bottoms, a multi colored long sleeve shirt, a purple vest with fringe on the bottom and black boots. He grew even more surprised at seeing how long his hair was. It was at least shoulder length now and he felt that he now had side burns. Eddie opened the door for Jack.

In the dojo a police station was set up. Different kinds of people all around, some talking to police officers, and all of them wore crazy or funky outfits. Outfits that defintely were not worn in the 2000s. "My number one kung fu cop is waiting outside." Eddie said, walking out further into the room with Jack. "It's time for him to meet his new hard-headed rookie partner."

Jack grimaces, looking at Eddie with furrowed eyebrows. "Why are you always shouting?"

"It's the seventies, everything's loud!" Eddie exclaims. He points at Jack's multicolored long sleeve shirt and Jack looks down at it. "See that? Loud!" Jack blinked a few times and shook his head, not a fan how Eddie was basically yelling in his ear.

"There's Wasabi now." Eddie noticed.

Jack turns around to look in the direction Eddie pointed at to see Rudy. Except Rudy looked exactly like Bobby Wasabi looked in this movie. "Bobby," Eddie walks over to him once Bobby stood by them. He points at Jack. "This is your new partner."

Bobby looks at Jack with narrowed eyes. "This kid's my new partner?"

"Yeah." Eddie replied.

"I'm a butt-kicker not a babysitter." Bobby commented.

Jack rolls his eyes. "I don't need a babysitter," He steps closer to Bobby, trying to act intimidating as he spits in Bobby's face, causing Bobby jump slightly since he was startled. "Pops."

"Who you calling pops?" Bobby asks, spitting in Jack's face, resulting in Jack closing his eyes and leaning back with disgust. "I'm old enough to be your father." Jack looks at him with furrowed eyebrows and shakes his head. Bobby nods in realization. "Oh, I see. That actually makes sense. Now come on, punk," Bobby challenges. "You want a piece of this?" He got into a fighting stance.

"Yeah, I do!" Jack glares at him. "Maybe it's time somebody put you in your place!" He gets into a fighting stance. "Whoo!"

"Let's dance." Bobby said, doing the 'come at me' hand gesture.

"Come on." Jack challenged.

Disco music suddenly played and the two of them stood up and started dancing. Eddie got between them, stopping them from dance fighting and the music stopped playing.

"Woah, woah! Back off, both of you!" Eddie tells them. "This is a police dojo, not a disco. You two better figure out a way to work together. I'm going to lunch."

As Eddie walks out of the dojo, he yells, "I said lunch!"

Bobby and Jack stand in front of each other. "You just stay out of my way, rookie." Bobby spoke intimidatingly.

"You stay out of mine, old man." Jack said, glaring at Bobby.

"My name is Crystal Diamond," Crystal announces as she walks into the police dojo. She puts her diamond studded sunglasses she wore up on her head. "And I have been robbed."

Jack did a double take when he saw how Kate looked in this dream. He figured by this point he was in a dream. He had to be in a dream. It was the only thing that made sense. Because in real life Kate would never wear anything wild or funky looking like the outfit she had on now, she wouldn't wear bright looking makeup, and she definitely wouldn't wear high heels. Plus she was speaking in a southern accent and Kate didn't have a southern accent in real life. And in real life he wouldn't be thinking that she's really pretty. Well, okay, he's thought of that before just never admit it, but that's besides the point.

(here's kate's outfit & also she's wearing red high heels with white floral designs in it to match her outfit)

Jack shakes his head, bringing himself out of the daze he was in and he smiles at her, walking over to her. "You've come to the right place, I'll help you. My name's Jack. Check out my hair." He smirked and dramatically flipped his long hair.

"Nice hair." Crystal comments and smiles slightly. "And you know, most times I don't really trust the fuzz, but I'm kinda digging your vibe."

"Well, I hope you keep digging 'cause under this vibe is a layer of groove." Jack smirked.

Bobby rolls his eyes as Crystal and Jack smiled at each other, walking towards them and pushes Jack to the side. "Are you done, love train?" Bobby turns to Crystal with a smile. "I'll help this helpless kitten who..." He pauses for a moment, trying to figure out what to say that rhymed. "Lost her mitten."

Crystal raises her eyebrows at him, putting a hand on her hip. She notices a table nearby and stands in front of it with a smirk. "This kitten got claws. Hiyah!" She then karate chopped the table in half, surprising Bobby and Jack.

"So, how can we help you, ma'am?" Bobby immediately asked, looking intimidated by her which made her smile.

"Someone broke into my house and stole my dragon's eye bracelet." Crystal replied, walking over to sit on the edge of the desk that was near her.

"Well, we dig." Jack gets a notepad and a pen from the desk before he stands in front of her. "What does your bracelet look like," He spins around, pointing at her with a smirk on his face. "Sister?"

"Woah, woah, hold on, rookie." Bobby cut in, pushing Jack to the side. "Let me show you how it's done." He looks at Crystal. "What does your bracelet look like," He did the same spin Jack did, but slower.  "Sister?"

Crystal narrows her eyes at him. "That was basically the same thing he did."

"Yeah, but I did it better." Bobby smiled.

Crystal shrugs. "Yeah, whatever. The bracelet has a gold chain outline with a dragon's eye in the middle. My aunt gave it to me and said whoever wears that bracelet holds great power."

Jack brings Bobby to the side. His eyes widen. "A bracelet like that falls into the wrong hands, it would be a bad scene. One, it's owner could use it to take over the world. Two, it may not go good with their outfit."

Bobby gasps. Then he and Jack turns to face Crystal and at the same time they both agree. "Okay, we'll take the case!"

"No, you won't!" Eddie called out.

The three of them turn around to see him walking into the police dojo, noticing he had a sandwich. "Come on, Chief!" Jack walks over to Eddie and tries to convince him. "Miss Diamond  needs us. We can't let that dragon's eye get into the wrong hands."

"I'm not sending you on a wild goose chase." Eddie tells him. "Not when a wild goose just busted out of the zoo and I need you to chase it."

"If anything sounds like a wild goose chase it's that right there." Crystal remarked.

Eddie ignores her comment and points at Jack, demanding, "Just stay away from that dragon's eye case or it'll mean your badges." He takes a bite of his sandwich as he turns to leave. "Oh, wow, this is good!"

"Alright, I'm here!" A voice announces and Crystal smiled when she saw her best friend walk in. "Sorry not sorry I'm late. 'Cause look at how groovy my nails look!" Snowflake Jones grinned, showing her newly done nails that were painted a neon pink to match one of the colors of the jumpsuit she wore.

Crystal jumps off the desk, walking over to her best friend and with a grin she looks at her nails. "Super groovy!"

"So," Snowflake puts a hand on her hip, glancing at Bobby and Jack. "Are these fellas with the badges going to help you find your bracelet or not?"

"Apparently not." Crystal shakes her head. "We'll just find the bracelet by ourselves." She looks at Bobby and Jack with a disappointed look. "I thought you two had nunchucks." She joins her best friend's side who was standing near the door. "C'mon, Snow," The girls links their arms together and turn around to leave. "Let's start looking for my bracelet."

"Oh," Bobby speaking up stops the girls from walking and they both unhook their arms and turn to face the boys. Bobby and Jack had gotten nunchucks out that were in their back pocket of their pants. "We got nunchucks." Bobby had a blue nunchucks while Jack had a red one. They both did some cool moves with the nunchucks and at the end they threw their nunchucks behind them, ending up hitting a guy and causing him to fall.

Crystal winces when the guy gets hit with the two nunchucks and watches with a grimaced expression as he falls. "Look, I don't care if our jobs are on the line. This stone cold fox needs our help." Jack said, glancing at Crystal with a smile who smiles back at him. "We're in." This time both the girls smiled at him.

"Hold on, punk." Bobby glares at him. "I'm in charge here. And we're not in unless I say we're in." In a more polite tone, he looks at the girls with a smile and nods. "We're in."

The girls smile at him. "Groovy, baby!" Snowflake commented.

Jack runs his hands through his hair. "If we're gonna fight crime, we need some theme music."

"For one, you're right." Bobby nodded. He walked over to the desk and put in a cassette in the cassette player on the desk. The girls and Jack got ready to dance, pausing whenever romantic music placed and they shared a confused look. The trio looked over at Bobby to see him slowly dancing with a smile on his face.

"Seriously?" Crystal asks in disbelief. "That's what you would listen to when you fight crime?"

"Let me take a shot at this." Snowflake suggested. She walked over to the cassette player, taking out the cassette Bobby put in. She then reached into her big hair, smiling when she pulled out a cassette. She put the cassette she found in the cassette player and pressed play.

Crystal grins, high fiving Snowflake when upbeat disco music played. "This is the kind of music you listen to when you fight crime!" She then began dancing along with the others.

"Now that's a groove I can boogie too!" Snowflake grinned.

The four of them then turned to the door and continued dancing as they left the police dojo.

After the gang went to the Loose Lips Diner across the street, they got one of the snitches that hung out there to tell them if they have seen anyone with a dragon's eye necklace. One of them snitched easily. The one who snitched easily was La Boca. He didn't give the information away at first. Bobby and Jack threatened him, but it wasn't until after Crystal and Snowflake threatened him did he cave in and confess.

La Boca explains there's a hot new club downtown called The School. He said there was word on the street that someone has been flashing Crystal's bracelet around there. Now the gang was at the new club, looking around for Crystal's necklace. Crystal had to admit she digged the vibe this club was giving. Disco music played, decorations were hung up everywhere. Tables people stood at were scattered around the place and people were talking, having drinks or dancing to the music.

"Wow, this schoolhouse rocks!" Snowflake said in surprise.

"It sure does." Crystal smiled.

"Who are all these cats here to see?" Snowflake questioned, gesturing to everyone at the club.

"The hero of the French horn, Milty Moondust." La Boca answers. "He can blow notes that sound like a walrus passing gas in a steel drum."

"My old lady makes the same sound when she bends over to pick up the newspaper." Bobby speaks. "Today's headline, Clear the Room."

The lights began to dim and cheering suddenly fills the room. Crystal's eyes widen with surprise when she noticed someone. "There he is!" She pointed him out, causing the others to look in that direction. A curtain was raising up just as they turned to look, seeing Milty was facing away from the crowd. He turned around, holding a sparkly French Horn.

"Hello, earthlings!" Milty greets. "I bring you an interstellar groove."

While Milty plays his French Horn and the crowd cheers for him, Crystal gets on one of the empty chair nearby with the help of her best friend so she wouldn't fall and began searching for her bracelet by looking at everyone in the crowd. Bobby glances at her. "Look around, Crystal. Do you see your bracelet?"

Crystal frowns. "There sure are a lot of cool jewelry, but I ain't seeing my Dragon's Eye bracelet."

"Hello?" Mitly called out, looking over where Crystal and the others were at with offense. The lights come back on and the music stops while the crowd parts way, making a path for him to walk through. He has trouble walking down the steps because of the big platform boots he wore. He had to lean over, holding onto the railing as he slowly got  down one step.

Milty walks over to the gang with a glare on his face. "Trying to rock the house here. I don't come to your house and interrupt you during your groovy French horn solos."

"Can it, space boy. This is an important police investigation." Bobby tells him. "We're looking for the Dragon's Eye bracelet." Jack offered to help Crystal off the chair and she smiled at him as she got off the chair. He smiled back at her and let go of her hand.

MIlty's whole demeanor changes and he looks nervous which made Crystal look at him suspiciously. "Oh, well, in that case...The show's over."  He raises his arm up and exclaims, "Rock and roll!" He then turns and began walking away quickly, having trouble because of his big platforms shoes. "Stupid, sexy shoes!" He muttered.

"He's gettin' away!" Crystal gasped.

"Let's get him!" Bobby exclaimed.

While Bobby, Crystal, Snowflake, and La Boca ran in the direction Milty went, Jack looked at the other hallway and smirked when he thought of an idea. He ran down that hallway, getting to Milty faster than the others. He grabbed Milty and threw him into some trash cans. The red-haired boy yelled as he fell on the floor.

"Okay, Milty, spill it!" Jack demands, walking towards him with a glare. "What are you hiding?"

"I can't hide anything. I'm in Spandex." Milty replied.

Just then the others get to this part of the hallway. "He won't talk." Jack explained.

"Won't he?" Bobby challenges. He switches spots with Jack, now standing in front of Milty. "Sure would be horrible if something bad happened to your horn!" He grabbed Milty's French horn from him and with a shrieking yell, he raised it above his head, getting ready to throw it on the gruond.

"Fine, I'll talk." Milty immediately caves in. Bobby lowers the French horn as Milty stands up. Milty looks at Crystal. "I saw a dude with your bracelet. He asked me to play a private gig later at his lava lamp factory."

"If you know what's good for you-"

"Oh, I do." Milty interrupts Jack's threat. "Vitamin C, eight hours of sleep, and leafy vegetables."

"Let me finish," Jack said. "if you know what's good for you, you'll take us there."

"Oh, that? Yeah, sure." Milty shrugs. He raises his arm and grins. "To my spaceship!"

The others exchange a confused look. Milty lowers his arm and sheepishly smiles. "And by 'spaceship' I mean my sister's bike."

****

The group arrived at the lava lamp factory and just after Jack turned on the lights, a familiar voice spoke.

"Well, well, well." The group looks above them, surprised to see Chief Eddie standing on the high platform. "Look what the cat dragged in." Two girls by his sides hissed at the group and pretended to claw at them.

"Chief Eddie?" Bobby asked in disbelief.

Eddie points at him and Jack with a disappointed look. "I told you two not to take this case. But you didn't listen, did you?"

"Chief?" Jack's eyes widen. "You're the evil mastermind?"

"Chief's permanently off duty." Eddie answers. He looks at Crystal with a smirk and raises his right wrist, showing her bracelet which made her gasp and then she glares at him. "I got your bracelet. You know why? 'Cause I'm a bad boy."

Bobby walks over to step on a nearby box, staring up at Eddie with a glare. "Oh, you're bad alright. And I don't mean bad meaning good like the kids have recently begun to say!"

"This bracelet gave me the power to get everything I ever wanted," Eddie explains, smiling down at the bracelet he wore. "Money, women, cars," He glances at the stuffed pigeon on his hand. "And my falcon, Toto."

Crystal rolls her eyes and scoffs. "Please, that's not a falcon and it's fake."

"Yeah, give it up, Eddie!" Jack agrees. "It's a stuffed pigeon!"

Eddie's eyes widen and his girls gasps, covering the stuffed pigeon's ears as if it could hear. "You got something that belongs to this foxy mama." Jack commented, smiling at Crystal.

Crystal smiles brightly, blushing faintly and she shows her mood ring. "Look at that, you just made my mood ring turn red!"

"Do you mind?" Bobby cut in, staring at the two with disbelief. "Battling an evil mastermind here!" He looks back at Eddie and demands, "We want the Dragon's Eye and we want it now!"

Eddie raises his eyebrows, raising his right wrist to show the bracelet. "You mean this? I don't think so." The girls beside him clap and four ninjas appear out of nowhere. Crystal quickly hid along with the others behind some boxes as Bobby and Jack stood back to back in a fighting stance.

"Torquoise, Coca," Eddie smiles at the girls beside him. "You're about to see Big Daddy take care of some business."

"Wasabi!" Bobby yelled and fighting ensued. As he faught two ninjas, Jack faught with the other two.

"Anybody else hearing that?" Snowflake asked with confusion when French horn music could be heard playing.

"Yeah." Crystal said, glancing around with furrowed eyebrows and then she looked at Milty and rolled her eyes.

"Would you stop playing?" La Boca questions and he stops. "They can't fight to that."

"He's right." Crystal nodded.

Jack eventually takes down two of the ninjas while Bobby finishes taking down the other two ninjas nearby where the others were hiding. The ninja Bobby had shoved to the side landed near the group. After seeing he was getting up to attack Bobby again, Crystal quickly went over and roundhouse kicked him in the side, sending him flying backwards. Crystal grinned, looking back at her best friend, who grinned back at her and high fived her.

Crystal smiles upon noticing Jack running over to them with a smile and gave her two thumbs up, signaling her and the others he got the other two ninjas. Her eyes widen when a ninja jumps behind him and grabs ahold of him. "Jack!" She yelled worriedly and ran over to him while Jack struggled to get out of the ninja's grasp. She grabbed Jack's hand, pulling him away.

"Hiyah!" TOgether the two side kicked the ninja back into some boxes.

Jack looks at her with an impressed expression. "Crystal, ever think of joining the force?"

"No way. This is a chick who can't be caged." Crystal grinned, putting her hands on her hips.

Bobby walks over to Jack after taking down the last ninja. He nods and smiles a bit. "Not bad for a rookie."

Jack nods. "Pretty good for an old man." Then the two of them did a handshake that Crystal thought was too dramatic.

"Alright, enough of this craziness." Crystal interrupts them, walking over to stand between them. She points at Eddie with a worried look. "Eddie's gettin' away with my bracelet!" Eddie and his girls were running towards the exit up top, but Jack quickly climbed onto a box and then used the other boxes surrounding him to jump onto the platform. He yelled threateningly as he jumped over the railing on the platform, glaring at Eddie.

"Give it up, Eddie!" Jack yells. "Hand over the bracelet!"

"If I can't have the Dragon's Eye, no one can!" Eddie walked over to the railing, taking off the bracelet and threw it.

"No!" Crystal shouted. She tilted her head to the side, furrowing her eyebrows when she realized how slow the bracelet was falling.

"Is it just me or is that thing falling really slow?" La Boca inquired.

"Not just you." Crystal shook her head.

"Okay, good to know." La Boca nodded.

Crystal let out a sigh of relief she didn't realize she was holding when her bracelet landed on the edge of a pipe above a big bucket of lava. Everyone rushed over to a nearby small stack of boxes that Bobby climbed onto the highest one, but it wasn't high enough to reach the bracelet. Jack got the courage to balance on the pipe, doing his best not to fall as he walked to the end to grab the bracelet.

Crystal bites her lower lip, worried and nervous for the outcome of this situation. "Jack, be careful!"

"I'll be fine." Jack reassured her.

"Jack, it's too dangerous." Bobby notices the pipe wobbling. "That pipe won't hold your weight."

"I know what I'm doing." Jack spoke.

"Jack, I'm in charge, and I order you off that pipe!" Bobby demanded.

"No one tells me what to do!" Jack shouted angrily, grabbing onto the chain that held the pipe up. He carefully bends down, grabbing the bracelet. He threw it to Crystal, who smiled and caught it. But then her eyes widen and she gasped as the pipe broke and Jack fell.

"Jack!" Crystal exclaimed and everyone watched with a shocked expression as Jack fell slowly into the lava.

"Woah!" Jack yelled while falling.

"Oh, man." La Boca comments. "He's falling slow, too!"

"I should've listened!" Jack confessed.

"I...I should've listened! I should've listened!"

"Jack, Jack!" Rudy shakes Jack awake, looking at him with concern. "Wake up."

Jack wakes up with a jolt, gasping as he sits up on the couch. He sighs with relief when he saw where he was. "I just had the craziest dream." He looks at everyone and points at them. "You were there, you were there, and you were there, and you were there." A look of disgust forms on his face. "We all had really bad hair." Rudy chuclkes and stands up, walking over to lean against his desk with crossed arms. Jack glances at Kate with a soft smile. "Execpt for you, Kate. Your hair looked kind of pretty."

Kate looks at him with surprise, but smiles softly and ignores the faint blush she felt appearing on her face. "Oh, um, thanks." She crosses her arms, her eyes widening when she noticed her mood ring changed to red. "Wow, my mood ring just turned red."

Jack stands up, staring at her with wide eyes. "What?"

Kate nods. "Yeah, it went along with the bracelet my aunt gave me."

Jack furrows his eyebrows. 'Where is your bracelet?" He asked after noticing it was missing.

"I lost it." Kate sighs heavily. "And now my aunt is gonna freak out." She sighed and went to sit down on the couch along with Kim, who patted her shoulder to comfort her.

Rudy nods at Jack, glancing at him with concern. "Jack, you feeling any better now that you got some sleep?"

Jack nods, walking over to him with a smile. "yeah, you were right. I didn't mean to disrespect you. I was just tired."

"It's cool." Rudy reassures him. He pats Jack's shoulder and smiles. "I'm just glad you got a little rest."

"Kate, I found your bracelet over at Falafel Phil's." Eddie announced as he walked into Rudy's office.

Kate sits up immediately, smiling at Eddie. "Eddie, you're the best!" She takes the bracelet from him. "Thank you!"

"And the weirdest thing, I just bumped into Stacy Weisman, and she asked me out." Eddie smiles from ear to ear.

"Maybe Kate's bracelet does have magical powers." Jerry laughed and Milton laughed along with him.

"Come on, guys, it's just a bracelet." Jack walks over to the couch, sitting on the armrest beside Kate. He reaches his hand out, silently asking if he could look at it. Kate nods, smiling as he hands it to him. "It can't have magical powers, right?" He looks down at the bracelet, his eyes widening and his mouth opens out of shock when the dragon eye blinks. He quickly hands the bracelet back to Kate and stands up, pointing over his shoulder. "I'm gonna go home. I think I may need some more sleep." He quickly opens the door and leaves. "See you, guys!"

"Yeah, I'm out of here too, guys." Rudy speaks up. "I'm gonna return Dr. Follicle's rip-off Hair Grower." He held up the can.

Milton raises his eyebrows. "It's not working, huh?"

"Oh, it's working." Rudy nods with a grimaced expression. "Everywhere but my face." He pulls back the top part of his gi, revealing the chest hair he had.

Kate yelps, covering her eyes as her friends all look away and comment in disgust. "I could've gone my whole life without seeing that" Kate whines, standing up along with Kim. "Now I'm gonna be scarred." She lowered her hand, running out of the office along with her friends.
