Halloween was tomorrow night and the gang had the job of decorating the courtyard. In Kate's opinion, the courtyard looks great, and so did the dojo that was also decorated for Halloween. Kate was in the dojo, practicing with Kim and Eddie when Jack walked in. "Hey, guys. We did a great job decorating." He smiles. "Our Halloween festival tomorrow night is gonna be a blast."

"Yeah, but can we please change the name from Boo-Stranvaganza?" Kim asked.

"No way!" Eddie cut in. "I came up with that." He smiles. "The 'Boo' part is scary. 'Stravanganza' is fancy talk for party."

"So, uh, Jack, you know the Halloween legend about our dojo, right?" Kim questioned.

Jack furrows his eyebrows. "What legend?"

"This place wasn't always a dojo." Kim replies, putting her hands on her hips. "It used to be a butcher shop called Meyer's Meats." 

"On a hot summer's day..." Eddie said. "You can still smell the brisket wafting off the mats."

Jack chuckles. "I always thought that smell was Jerry."

"Eight years ago on Halloween night, Mr. Meyers was teaching his apprentice...To make sausages." Kim explained.

"Oh! The 'sausagers apprentice' huh?" Jack mockingly said.

"That's right." Kim nods. "Apparently he did something Meyers didn't like. Words were exchanged, pork started flying, Meyers snapped." She grimaces. "Picked up a meat mallet, and when it was over..." She whimpers. "His apprentice was dead."

"He was dead. Deader than dead. He was so dead-" 

"Okay," Kim interrupts Eddie and Kate was relieved she did. "Thank you, Eddie. The legend is his headless body still haunts this dojo."

"Stop trying to scare me. It's not gonna happen." Jack spoke.

"It's him! The Sausager's Apprentice!" Eddie shouted worriedly, pointing behind Jack.

Kate raises her eyebrows, sharing a not amused look with Jack when a dummy started walking over to the group. "I'll take care of this." Jack takes the bo staff from Eddie and heads over to the dummy.

"What? No, no, no!" Kim quickly rushed over to Jack as he began to swing the bo staff. 

"No, no!" Milton shouted, raising his arms to cover himself.

"No, no, Jack!" Kim stops Jack from continuing to whack Milton. "Milton's in there." 

Jack rolls his eyes. "Yeah, see?" Eddie took the head part of the dummy off of Milton. 

"Boo?" Milton said but it sounded more like a question.

"Nice try, Milton." Kate chuckled.

Jack hands the bo staff to Eddie, taking the head part of the dummy from him. He stands in front of Milton with a smile. "Goodbye, Milton." He put the head part of the dummy back on Milton and then blew air hard enough that caused Milton to fall backwards. 

"Ah, Christmas nuts!" Milton shouted.

"That psycho butcher story you made up yesterday was pretty cool, Kim." Jack commented the next day at school during lunch. Kate sat beside Milton, sitting across from Jack at the table.

"Not to Jerry, he actually started having nightmares about it." Kim said with a smug look on her face "We told him it was based on an actual legend." She then shared a smile with Milton and they did a handshake.

"And that one Halloween night, Mr. Meyers will come back...And bad things will happen to whoever he touches." Eddie added.

"Nice." Kate compliments. "Not surprised Jerry believed it though 'cause I feel like he would believe anything you tell him."

"Why are you guys trying to scare Jerry?" Jack questioned.

"Hello..." Kim dramatically said. "It's Halloween. It's what your supposed to do." 

"So..." Kate rolls her eyes when she heard Frank talk. She looks to her right to see Frank and his gang walking over to the table she and her friends were at. "I hear you guys are hosting Boo-Stravanganza at the Mall." He smirks. "Sure hope nothing happens."

"What's that supposed to mean, Frank?" Milton asked him.

Frank mocks him. "What's that supposed to mean, Frank?" He laughed along with his friends.

"Hey," Jack gets up and stands in front of him. "We spent a lot of time and energy on this party. So, I hope you and your guys aren't thinking of trying anything. 'Cause if you remember when you try things, it usually doesn't go too well."

"Maybe you should take your sister trick or treating." Kim suggested.

"Maybe I will." Frank agrees. "She's going to be a Princess this year and she's going to be adorable." He then left with his gang.

"Hey, little buddy." Marge calls out to Eddie as she walks over to him. "You making a jack-o-lantern for that Boo-A-Palooza thing?"

Eddie stands up and smiles. "Yes, I am. I want all the lady's to see that I'm an expert pumkin carver." 

"Yeah, because that's what all the lady's want." Kim commented.

"Oh, for sure." Kate agrees. "Who wouldn't want Rockstars, Quarterbacks and Pumpkin carver's?" She asked, smiling teasingly at Eddie, who sent her a small glare. 

"Eddie, I want your guts." Marge told him.

Eddie panics. "I'm kinda using them right now." 

"No, your pumpkin guts." Marge explained.

"Oh." Eddie said in realization and Marge brought him over to the side to talk. But from what Kate could hear, it sounded like Eddie and Marge were partnering up since Marge needed the pumpkin guts and Eddie just needed the pumpkin.

"Wow, I guess your pumpkin skills did get you a date." Kim chuckled.

"It's with Marge." Jack pointed out.

Eddie hits his shoulder to scold him. "It's called a start, Jack."

Later that day, Kate was out in the courtyard, putting up the finishing touches of decorations along with her friends. Jack pointed at a witch decoration with a disgusted expression. "If witches have all these magic powers, why are they so ugly?"

"Yeah, I always wondered that." Kate admits. "They could literally do anything which means makes them beautiful."

"Yeah, I know," Kim hands a decoration for Milton to hang up, glancing at the witch decoration with furrowed eyebrows and puts her hands on her hips. "If I were a witch, I'd go 'poof'...Rich and beautiful." 

Kate smiles and fist bumps Kim. "Same."

Jerry leaves the dojo with a worried look, rushing over to his friends. "Guys, you're not gonna believe it. Meyers the butcher's back."

"What?" Kate laughed in disbelief. 

Jerry looks at his hand with fear. "And he touched me!" He whimpers. "Oh, horrible things are gonna happen."

Milton gets down off the latter he was on and faces Jerry. "First of all, calm down. Second of all," He picks up a witch decoration off the table he stood by. "Show me on this witch where he touched you." 

"I'm going to church." Jerry announced before he ran away.

"Free fries at Circus Burger, all you need is a coupon." A clown from Circus Burger announced, walking by as he held up a coupon. Kate glanced at Jack with a grimaced expression, shaking her head. She knew this wouldn't end well because of his fear of clowns. 

The clown looks at Jack, offering the coupon. "How about you, kid, you want a coupon?"

Jack turns to face the clown, his eyes widening with fear and he jumps, startled by seeing the clown. He screams, beginning to back away before he turns around and runs to the dojo. "Clown!" A guy carrying a scarecrow was walking by the dojo the same time Jack ran to the dojo. He fell over the scarecrow as he got the door opened and didn't stop running until he was in the dojo. 

The clown shrugs. "I guess he doesn't like French fries."

Kate shrugs, reaching over to grab the coupon with a smile. "I'll take the coupon. Would never say no to free fries." 

"Wow, what was that?" Milton asked with surprise.

"No idea." Kate pretended not to know the answer as she put the coupon away in the pocket of her denim jacket she wore. 

Kim narrows her eyes at Kate. "You definitely do know." 

Kate just shrugs her shoulders and smiles sweetly at her. "If I did know I wouldn't be able to say anything since I promised Jack I wouldn't tell anyone."

"Whatever." Kim rolls her eyes, but then she smiles. "We finally found something Jack is scared of. Clowns."

Milton's eyes widen. "Or coupons." Kate put a hand on her hip, sharing a look with Kim and the two girls looked at Milton with an 'are you serious' expression. Milton nods. "But clowns makes more sense."

The trio head to the dojo, not knowing that Frank was watching the scene the whole time, calling the rest of the Black Dragon members to make a plan. The trio walked inside the dojo, finding Jack practicing with a dummy. 

"Jack, I can't believe you're afraid of clowns." Milton commented.

Jack stops fighting, looking at Kate with offense. "Rina! You told them?"

"In my defense, Jackie, you ran away screaming when the clown talked to you." Kate shrugs, sympathetically smiling at him when he looked embarrassed. "I didn't need to tell them you were afraid of clowns after that happened."

"So, you don't like baggy pants, floppy shoes, and that song..." Milton listed things off that goes along with a clown and then began to sings the song that are at carnivals. 

"Stop it!" Jack interrupts him and Milton stops. "It's true, okay?" He walks over to the bench to sit down. "Clowns freak me out."

Kim scoffs, walking over to the bench along with Kate and Milton. "Oh, you weren't just freaked out. You acted like Milton every time he reads a pop-up book." 

Kate puts a hand on her hip, glancing at Milton with furrowed eyebrows. "Yeah, why do you freak out so much because of a pop-up book of all things?" She shakes her head, staring at him weirdly. "It doesn't make any sense."

"Hey, some of those things just come right at you!" Milton defended himself.

"Jack, what happened?" Kim asked. 

Jack sighs heavily. "It was my fifth birthday party. My parents hired a clown, but they didn't hire a very good one."

Kate shudders when she remembered the clown. "Yeah, he was one rude and creepy clown." She rolls her eyes. "All Jack did was say the clown pulled flowers out of his sleeve and the clown got all upset. Then the clown passed out after ranting about how he didn't like being a clown, but he had to be a clown since he had bills to pay."

"At first we didn't know the clown passed out." Jack adds. "I thought I killed him."

Kim's eyes widen. "You thought you killed a clown?"

Jack nods. "Turns out he was light headed from blowing up too man balloon animals." At remembering his fifth birthday party, a scared look was on his face and he shakes his head. "From that moment on, I've been terrified of clowns." 

Milton's eyes widen and he looks a bit scared. "After that story, I am too."

"Not a fan of them myself after that party." Kate admitted while crossing her arms. It can be scary when your five and you think a clown died at your best friend's birthday party. 

"Since then I just avoid them." Jack continues. "I know where every clown in the city lives. Shaky McGee, Chuckles Watson, Blato, Blimpo, and Uncle Giggles."

"Wow." Milton said in surprise. 

Jack shrugs. "Luckily it's not that hard, they all travel in one car."

It was now time for the Boo-Stravanganza. Kim was dressed as a zombie cheerleader, Jack was dressed as a vampire while Kate was dressed as Wonder Woman. Kate had trouble deciding on what she wanted to dress up as, first it was a zombie cheerleader since she and Kim had planned on going as the same thing, but then she found a Wonder Woman costume in her size and Wonder Woman was one of her favorite female superheroes so she decided to go with that. 

Currently the trio were waiting for Milton to get changed into his costume, but it seemed like he was taking forever. "Milton, how long does it take to put on a wolfman costume?" Jack asked in annoyance.

"I'm coming." Milton angrily said and walked around the corner. Kate's eyes widen in disbelief, covering her mouth to stifle a laugh when she saw Milton's costume. Instead of a wolfman costume, he was wearing a Little Boy Blue's costume.

Jack chuckles a bit, looking at him with furrowed eyebrows. "What happened? I thought you were supposed to be the wolfman?"

Milton sighs. "They said they would hold it for me, but they rented out the last one." He rolls his eyes. "I had to be Little Boy Blue."

"Hey," Jerry's voice gains the attention of his friends and they all look over to see him walk inside the dojo. "Is everyone okay in here?"

Kim exchange a confused look with Kate before she looks at Jerry with confusion. "Uh, yeah, why?"

"I told you, Meyers was in the dojo." Jerry responded and his friends stare at him with disbelief.

Jack's eyes widen. "What?" 

"The legend was true, the murder, the butcher, the curse." Jerry continued in a nervous tone.

"Jerry, there is no legend." Kim told him.

"They made it up to scare Jack." Kate added.

Kim nods. "I mean, there was a guy named Meyers who owned a butcher shop here. But like Kate said, I made the rest up to scare Jack."

Jerry stares at her with wide eyes. "So, you made the whole thing up?"

"Yes!" Kim replies and she gestures outside. "Now can we please go enjoy our Halloween?" 

"Okay, Miss Zombie." Jerry smiles. "I'd hate to waste this cool wolfman costume." He laughs. "They were saving it for some sucker, but I paid the guy extra. Totally worth it."

Milton looks at him with a glare. "I'm the sucker, that's mine, take it off!" He grabbed Jerry's arm and Jerry quickly got out of his grasp.

"Wait. Hey, hey, no, I can't! I'm kinda wearing weird underwear." Jerry speaks. He glances at the costume Milton had. "For what its worth, you make a pretty good Goldilocks."

Mitlon angrily shakes the small trumpet he held, glaring at Jerry. "I'm Little Boy Blue." 

Kim glances at the clock above the doors. "It's seven o'clock." She looks at Jack with a smile. "Circus Burger's closed so their clown's gone." She looks at her friends with a grin. "Now lets go Boo-Stracaganza our butts off."

"Yeah!" Kate grinned, following Kim towards the door along with the others. She stopped whenever she saw the other stopped. She turned around, looking at Jack with confusion when he stood in the same place with a scared look on his face. She frowned, glancing in the direction he was looking at and her eyes widen.

"Jack, what's the matter?" Milton questions. "You heard what Kim said. The Circus Burger clown is gone."

"I'm not worried about that clown." Jack nerovusly said. "I'm worried about...." He points at the clown he was looking at. "That clown!" The others looked in the direction he was looking at to see a clown was gesturing for Jack to come outside. Jack screamed and Kate worriedly watched as he ran down the hallway.

"Oh, oh, there is a curse!" Jerry worriedly exclaims. "Oh, and something horrible is gonna happen to me."

Kate looks back out the window just as the clown took their mask off, revealing Frank. Her hands at her side balled up into fists as she glares at him. "There is no curse. It's Frank and the Black Dragons." Kim angrily said.

"Let's take them down." Kate growled, taking the sword out of its sheath. No one messed with her best friend and got away with it. One cool thing about this costume was that it came with a sword, a lasso, and a shield. The lasso was attached to her belt and the sword was on her back. 

Kate's eyes widen when Frank put his mask back on and ran around, messing up everything in the courtyard along with the rest of the Black Dragons who had clown masks on. The Black Dragons were scary people and wrecking all the decorations and activities. Everyone outside were screaming and running away while some hid behind some tables that were knocked down.

"They're ruining everything." Kate frowned.

A Black Dragon member ran to the front doors, spraying silly string all over the doors and part of the window before running away. "Let's go." Kim announced, pushing the doors opened with Kate by her side and Jerry followed them as Milton stayed inside to get Jack.

The trio splits up, taking on Black Dragon members by themselves. Kim fought with three members near the door, Jerry was fighting with some members across the courtyard while Kate was fighting with some members in the middle of the courtyard, using her sword to her advantage. Even though her sword was plastic, it could still do some damage if she used it hard enough. 

Kate swung her sword around, hitting the Black Dragon member in front of her in its which startled him. That gave her the advantage to side kick him in the stomach and he fell backwards. Noticing the other Black Dragon member by her was sneaking up on her, with a yell she turned around as she swung her sword behind her, hitting the boy hard enough with the sword that caused him to fall. 

She grins at the sword in her hand. "Man, I gotta get me one of these for real." 

She then noticed some Black Dragon members terrorizing some people by the bowling area so she quickly ran over there. The people in this area quickly got out of the way as she began fighting with one of them. On her way there, she noticed nearby that Jerry was fighting with a Black Dragon member. 

"You want a piece of this?" She heard him say. A few moments later, she winced when she heard a thud. Kate ducked from a punch the boy threw and kicked the boy's legs out from under him. He fell back with a groan while Kate glanced over to where Jerry was at, grimacing upon seeing he had landed on the table with candy apples. Now he was covered in apples. 

"Oh. I guess they do want some of this," Jerry said in pain. "My bad." 

Kate takes care of the other Black Dragon member near the bowling area before she ran over to help Jerry up. She puts her sword back in its sheath, offering a hand to help him up. "Thanks, Kate." He smiled and she nodded, smiling back at him.

"Come on." Kate gestures with a nod of her head to the rest of the Black Dragons. "Still got a lot of Black Dragons to take care of." 

Jerry nods and the two separated again, Jerry heading to the right side to fight the Black Dragons over there as Kate ran to the right side since she noticed a Black Dragon member scaring a group of people. On her way there she noticed Kim fighting with two Black Dragon members off to the side across the courtyard, but she knew Kim could take care of herself. 

Kate got behind the Black Dragon member, using the lasso to grab onto his arm and turned him away from the crowd. She used the lasso to swing the boy to the right, making him run into a palm tree which knocked him out and made him crash onto a table nearby. She smirked, rolling up the lasso and put it back on her belt. Hearing the door to the dojo opened, she looked over her shoulder, smiling when she saw Milton guiding Jack outside. She was confused when she noticed he was blindfolded, but then her eyes widen in realization and she grinned after figuring out the plan was for him to use his other senses to fight the Black Dragons. 

"Hey, you clowns!" Jack shouts. He gets into a fighting stance. "I'm the one you want! Come on!"

Milton cringes. "Jack, you're talking to a palm tree." He turns Jack around to face where the Black Dragons were at. "Yes."

Jack nods and gets into a fighting stance again. "Hey, you clowns! I'm the one you want!" 

As Jack fought with a Black Dragon member, Kate ran towards the Black Dragon member who was across the courtyard scaring some teens and fought with him.

Jack continued to use his other sense to be able to knock down the Black Dragon member as another one snuck up behind him. But he heard him sneak up behind him and kicked him to the side. He continued to take down each Black Dragon member that went at him. 

Meanwhile, Eddie and Marge teamed up, protecting the pumpkin Eddie made when two Black Dragons members went over to where the pumpkins were displayed. Jerry took down one Black Dragon member, throwing him into the bowling pins at the end and he howled in victory as some other Black Dragon members helped their friend up. Kim took down some Black Dragons members near the dojo with the help of a skeleton arm she got from a skeleton decoration while Milton fought with two Black Dragon members in front of the doors, using a silly spray can to help him defeat them. 

He smirks. "There's your Little Boy Blue!" He then sprayed the silly spray all over. 

Kate had just got done taking down some Black Dragon members when she heard Jack gasp. She turned around, her eyes widening when she saw the Black Dragon member he was fighting with had took his blindfold. Noticing a Black Dragon member out of the corner of her eye, she rolled her eyes and took her shield off, whacking the boy with the shield without looking and the boy fell to the floor.

Jack fell to the floor, backing away with fear in his eyes. "Not so tough now, are you, Jack?" Frank taunted and he laughed maniacally. 

Kate growls, throwing the shield at Frank which caused the boy to stumble backwards and look at her. "Leave him alone!" 

Frank looked at two Black Dragon members who were standing off to the side, gesturing for them to get Kate. Kate stepped  forward, getting ready to get her sword out, but stopped and she gasped when she was yanked backwards. She grumbled angrily after realizing two Black Dragon members now held her arms and the boys were much stronger than her which made her even more mad. Her eyes widen after noticing two Black Dragon members had grabbed Milton and were dragging him towards the center of the courtyard where Frank and Jack were. By this point, the whole gang was trapped by a Black Dragon member, being held back from helping Milton and Jack. 

From his place on the ground, Jack watches the scene with anger in his eyes. Frank grabs the collar of Milton's costume. "Say goodbye Goodlilocks!"

Milton rolls his eyes. "I'm Little Boy Blue!"

Jack jumps up, grabbing Frank's fist before Frank could punch Milton. "What are you doing?" Frank asks with surprise. "I'm a clown, you're scared of me!"

"I am," Jack nods. "But that's my friend!" He pulled Frank's arm and then flipped Frank over. Frank grunted as he landed on the ground roughly. 

Jack looks at the other two Black Dragon members holding Milton. He glares at them. "Boo." 

The two of them yelp, quickly letting go of Milton and ran off. This was when Kate's captures were distracted. She elbowed one of them in the side which made him let go of her right arm since he went to hold his side in pain and she stomped on the foot of the guy holding her left arm. They quickly let go of her and ran away, following their friends. The Black Dragons holding Kim and Jerry let go of them and all ran off along with the rest of the Black Dragons, including Frank.

Everyone got out of their hiding place and cheered and applauded. Jack grinned, high fiving his friends. Soon enough everyone else began talking with each other and helping out with cleaning the place up. When Kate ran over to Jack with a proud smile on her face, she attacked him in a hug which startled him. He laughed, hugging her back. 

"You did it! I'm proud of you, Jackie." Kate smiled.

"Thanks, Rina." Jack smiles softly. The two best friends pull away from the hug and Jack bends down to pick up the shield Kate had threw at Frank. He grins at her, offering the shield to her. "I believe this is yours." 

Kate grins back at him and takes the shield. "Thank you."  She said as she put the shield back on.

"Dude, that was awesome!" Jerry compliments. "Nothing terrible happened, something great happened." He smiles. "There is no curse."

"How'd you get over your whole clown thing?" Kim inquired.

"I had to face it," Jack smiles at his friends. "I couldn't let you guys down." 

Milton smiles. "Thanks, Jack, my horn and I salute you." He blows into the horn and a weak horn sound came out along with a fart. 

"That wasn't the horn was it?" Eddie asked.

"Sadly no." Milton replied and Eddie nodded.

"Look, it wasn't just me, we all faced our fear." Jack continues. "You guys were scared of the Black Dragons, but you stood up to them."

Marge joins the group, holding onto a small pumpkin. She grins. "It was a fight to the finish, but we saved Bernard."

Kate smiles. and nods, figuring that she and Eddie named the pumpkin Bernard. "That's great, Marge."

"Guys, check it out. This is the best pumpkin I've ever done." Eddie commented and Marge turned the pumpkin around to show the group Eddie's carving. Kate gasped, staring at the carving with shock. The carving was of the friend group and even Rudy doing karate poses. Everyone all commented on how good the carving was and Eddie smiled widely.

"Another salute to us." Milton smiled, raising up his horn. 

Kate grimaces and she sighs with relief when Kim stops him. "No, please, we're good."
