Chapter Four
Khun's Pov
We swiftly glided down the street as the snow pounded down harder. The road was a slippery to drive through, but we had surprising, but thankfully made it. I pulled into his apartment complex, finding a parking spot right in the front. We exited my car and dashed across the snowy parking lot, sprinting into the lobby. We shivered, our teeth chattering, as we made it to the lobby. We huddled together, enveloping in the warmth of the lobby. He reached for my hand, his felt like I was holding a icicle, it was ice cold.
We walked towards the elevator and went up the floors, until we had finally reached Bam's apartment. He shoved his key into the keyhole and unlocked the door. We strolled in, and it was absolutely gorgeous. I thought it was impossible. For him to live on his own and get this good of an apartment, it was very impressive. I snapped myself out of my small trance and took off my snowy coat and hung it up, following Bam into his living room.
I sat down the black couch, sinking into the cushions. I don't want to get up.. And I don't think that I will.. "I'll be right back, I'm going to get blankets, can you get out the homework?" he called to me as he walked down a hall. I sighed and reached for my small black backpack. I tugged at the zipper, opening it. I slipped out my math homework and got started on it.
I was twirling my pencil around my slim fingers when Bam came tumbling into the room with a whole ton of blankets. It was like twenty huge and small blankets, all together, they were bigger than him. I laughed at his sillyness as he stumbled over to the couch. He dropped the pile onto the couch and chose his blankets, me choosing mine as well. I got this really fuzzy baby blue one that I had internally gained ownership of.
One we had gotten our blankets, we wrapped ourselves up. Bam then laid down on the couch and outstretched his legs, his feet in my lap as I sat up. We continued our homework like that.
It was a hard to concentrate, because I kept stealing glances at Bam. He looked to calm and peaceful as he did his homework, like it was the easiest thing in the world. The way his eyes shined when he completed a page, it was so pure.
I eventually focused back to myself, turning towards my paper. I completed most of the paper and was stuck on the few last problems. But it didn't make any sense and I felt incredible idiotic, I groaned. It was just infuriating, it didn't make anything sense and I was going to rip this paper into shreds.
I couldn't ask for help. I've done it on my own before, why would I need help now? I can do it. Can I? No help, I'm fine. I was so deep in thought I didn't notice Bam move and sit right next to me. He tapped my shoulder, "Khun, are you alright? You seem out of it," I whipped to turn to him, he had concern written all over his face.
I looked at him and gave him the most convincing smile I could muster, "I'm fine, don't worry," I looked down back at my paper, and before I could do anything, Bam grabbed my hand. "Hey," he nodded towards the homework, "if you need help, you can always ask me. I will do what I can. Don't worry or doubt yourself. I could just tell from the look you were giving that paper," I nodded. He was definitely special alright. "Umm.. Could you help me out with this..?" I asked, mumbling. He shot me a toothy grin and nodded.
He scooted over towards me, resting his chin on my shoulder to look at my paper. He began pointing and explaining the problem, getting into depth with the parts I didn't get. I finally started to understand, and flew through the rest of the paper. I turned towards Bam, "Thank you," he yawned in response, shifting off the couch. "I'm putting on pajamas, do you want dinner, or our you heading out soon?" He asked.
I groggyly stood up and shuffled over towards the window. Snow covered everything, even looking out a far, I couldn't see anything expect the color white. Trees are down, and I wouldn't doubt that electrical lines were too. Roads are closed off as well. I turned around to see Bam standing there.
"Hey Bam, I don't know if I'll be leaving.." He shot me a questioning glance and walked over towards me. "I'm confused, wha- ... Oh, that's makes sense," He shrugged. "I don't mind, what do you want for dinner then?" I waved him away, "Don't worry about it, you can make what is easiest," I replied.
He shrugged. "Ok, now follow me. Let's get you PJ's," I followed behind the sleepy Bam as we made to his his room. He had a dark bed set, with just a few house plants around the room, right above the bed was a map outline, and he had a bed stand to one side of the bed and a mirror hung up on the wall on the others side.
He gestured towards the bed, which I placed myself on, it was memory foam. I was so tempted to fall asleep on the bed, but I was incredibly hungry. I watched him as he went over towards his closet and began to go through his clothes, searching for pajamas.
Once he was finished his hunt, he threw me some plaid pajama pants and a black t-shirt, while he had some basketball shorts and a long sleeved gray shirt. He went to the bathroom and I got changed in here.
I slipped out of Bam's bedroom, to met Bam in the hallway. And when I said he had a petite figure, I meant it. That's just how he looked like with the clothes he had on. But with his shirt now, I could see that he had some muscular arms.. And the rest was left up to my imagination. I couldn't by but get a tad bit jittery, now I want to know.
But I quickly put aside the thought and we began towards his kitchen. I sat down on a stool at the little island as he threw on a apron. He swiftly moved through the kitchen like a pro, chopping up ingredients and throwing it into a pan. Once everything was in a pan, he slipped it into the oven, washed his hands, and took off his apron as quick as he put it on.
It was like it had only taken minutes to make, color me impressed. He was full after tricks after tricks. It didn't help my excitement to learn more about him. "So we have a bit till food is done, what do you want to do?" I snapped my fingers. "Can you help me write two songs for my concert this Friday? I'm supposed to do four songs and only have two.."
He piped up, "I would love too! Let's get to it!" He cheered, his eyes shining. I couldn't help but smile. His positivity and smiles were just so contagious with his pure and determined aura. We headed back towards the living room, sitting onto his couch. He grabbed his messenger bag and pulled out a small leather notebook.
"This is where I write all my songs.." I nodded and he tossed over the notebook. "Find a blank page and write down a part of a phrase," I nodded and rifled through the notebook searching for a blank page.
He had written a lot of songs.. damn, I was impressed once again. It's was just good impression after good impression with him. He's really not helping me with my dilemma of wanting him to be mine. I eventually found a blank page and scribbled down 'If our love is insanity,' and tossed the book back over.
He quickly tossed it right back over and it finished 'If our love is insanity, why are you my clarity?' We continued back and forth till we had a draft of a song done. He was going over it, polishing up some places when the stove began to beep, echoing into the living room.
Bam placed the book on the coffee table and shuffled towards the kitchen. There was clinks and clanks heard from the kitchen. I thought at one point he had dropped a plate at one point. But eventually he came back with two plates of what looked like a casserole. I gratefully took the plate and stared at the lyrics, skimming it over. I began to pick at the food, stuffing it into my mouth, and it was absolutely delicious! It tastes like chicken and broccoli with a sauce that I couldn't pick out, but could eat it everyday without complaints.
Bam could sing, he was smart, and he could cook! I should just ask him to move in, or maybe I'll move in. Either ones good with me! I should just move on today.. I pushed aside the tempting thoughts and continued to skim through the lyrics. It had a good steady beat, and would hype up the concert. I turned towards Bam. "Can I use another page to start the next song?" He nodded. "I don't care, I'll probably be watching TV though," I nodded. I slightly leaned on him and began to write..
'I was staring at my sneakers, scared to death to go and meet you. Everybody had their someone, there was nobody for me here but you. But you, but darling..'
I picked up my gaze to look at Bam.. Hmm.. The first thing I noticed about him was.. His eyes!
'Then I caught your eye, we were drunk yeah it was wild.'
I placed the book down and snuggled up into my blankets, we could possible practice tomorrow, for the rest of today, I could just relax. I can't write a whole song on my own in one sitting, it practically impossible. I glanced towards the TV and the at Bam. I spoke up, "What are you watching?"
He turned his head and shot me a quick smile. "I just put on Tangled, it was the first movie I had watched, a oldie but a goodie," I nodded in agreement. I always enjoyed Tangled, it was a good movie. I didn't watch to much TV as a kid. My father restricted a lot of things.
We both continued watching Tangled, adding commentary every and a while, laughing and agreeing with each other. The movie was slowly coming to a end, and they were sitting on the boat singing. They eventually fell in love, ditched the stupid fucking mother 'who new best ' my ass, and finally ruled their kingdom together.
The movie ended and I faced towards Bam. His eyes were half open, half closed. He yawned, stretching his arms above his head. I slightly chuckled at his face, he was unruly adorable when he was tired.
I stood up from the couch, reaching out my hands for him. He grabbed onto my arm, I lead him towards his bedroom. I tucked him into bed, giving him a kiss on his forehead goodnight before heading back out towards the living room, piling blankets on top of me. I slowly slipped off into the dark void of sleep with the adorable Bam stuck on my mind.
