INT. DINING AREA - EVENING

6:14 p.m.

Jalil and Vina were hanging at the dining area while eating the pasalubong he bought for the both of them.

JALIL
Ano ba yung sasabihin mo, Vi? Kanina ko pa hinihintay.

VINA
Remember last week? When I was craving for cheetos tapos jalapeño?

JALIL
Oo?

VINA
Then after no'n nag-crave ako ng pancit canton na gawa ni Devie.

JALIL
Kaya ba siya pumunta kanina?

VINA
Yup. I tried cooking pancit canton pero kasi hindi same sa kanya so I asked her to come over para magluto kasi frustrated na ako tapos she asked me if I was pregnant.

JALIL
Pero 'di ba negative no'ng nag-test tayo last week?

Vina smiled. She slid two pregnancy tests she was keeping in the pockets of her faded denim jumper.

Jalil's eyes fell on the double red lines.

VINA
Too early lang tayo last week. Pero, there.

He was stunned for a moment, still staring at the results of her tests.

VINA
Ja?

JALIL
Magkaka-mini me na tayo?

VINA
Yes.

JALIL
Joke lang pala. Dapat mini Vi para talented. Galing mo mag-painting, e. Ganda pa ng boses mo, suking-suki banyo natin sa mga concert mo.

Vina smiled at him warmly, extending her hand so she could reach for his cheek to dust off some grains of sugar from the donut.

VINA
Mini you rin. Para may isa pa akong Ja.

JALIL
Gano'n? 'Di pa ako sapat?

VINA
I want more of you so . . .

JALIL
Oo na nga. Sige na. Alam ko namang naglalambing ka lang.

VINA
Anong lambing? Totoo kaya 'yon.

JALIL
Weh?

Vina nodded. She stood up just so she could sit on his lap. Jalil obliged, gently wrapping his arm around her waist. The smile on their lips were lingering and it wouldn't fade away.

She rested her cheek on his shoulder as she laid comfortable in his warmth. She closed her eyes and thought that this is her everyday now and she wouldn't trade anything for it.

At long last she was peaceful, happy, and content.

Jalil planted soft kisses on her temple while brushing his fingertips through her hair.

VINA
Isip na ba tayo ng baby names?

JALIL
Tara?

VINA
Pero punta muna tayo kila Ate Van, please? For dinner. Gusto ko siya makausap and gusto ko rin makita mga pamangkin ko.

JALIL
O punta na lang tayo sa resto nila Kuya?

VINA
P'wede! I'll tell them na doon tayo kakain tapos can we treat them? As celebration na rin.

JALIL
Oo naman. Tawagan ko rin sila Kuya Jiro.

VINA
Ay, yes! Sila rin pala so I can ask Ate Mithi din. I'm sure matutuwa rin si Kelsey kasi kasama si Miya.

JALIL
Gusto mo ba talaga tanungin sila ate o gusto mo lang mapaligiran ng mga bata?

Vina chuckled.

VINA
Both.
