3. Legend Has It.
Dean frowned as he walked behind his brother and the strange girl, trying to listen to their conversation. He only managed to capture glimpses, mainly of information and 'research'. His white shoes squeaked against the linoleum as he moped, mumbling to himself.
"Is something bothering you, Dean?" June asked.
"No, June," he replied, mimicking her emphasis on each other's names.
Sam rolled his eyes. "Okay, tell me again? What's the history of the building?"
"Jeez, you're both as thick as each other," June sighed. "It was built in 1846 by some old guy and his two sons. Wait, hang on." She stopped and the brothers looked at her. "You still haven't told me why you're here."
Sam looked at Dean, who looked back at him quizzically, I don't know, you're the one who wanted to come here.
Sam cleared his throat. "Legend has it, it's haunted."
June laughed. "It's a mental asylum, of course that's the legend."
"We thought we'd give it a shot."
Dean stayed quiet, staring at this strange sassy girl.
"So that's why you're here? To hunt the ghosts parading these halls?"
"They parade the halls?" Dean asked.
"Oh dear god." June rolled her eyes, beginning to walk down the hall again.

The three stood in front of the oldest part of the building, looking at the rusting metal door. "They call it The Kiln," June explained. "It's not really a kiln, at least, I hope not."
Leave, the voices hissed. Leave now, never to return.
"Did it used to be?" Sam asked, pressing his fingers to the door. The voices shrieked and June winced, shrugging. Dean looked at her, noticing her discomfort.
"There isn't much history about the old building. It burned down in 1882," June continued, pulling Sam away from the door.
"I didn't read about that," he said, his eyes still locked on the door.
June shrugged again. "It burned down, and along with it the records and files of old patients. The Kiln survived because it was built to withstand those temperatures. Maybe that's why it's called The Kiln."
"So there's no records from before 1882, whatsoever?" Dean asked.
June shook her head. "Burned to a crisp."
The brothers looked at each other, both of them frowning in confusion. If there was a fire involved, why was it still considered haunted?
