It was the first day at the ninja academy and I was ecstatic! My pink hair fluttered as I bounced up and down holding Sasori and Naruto's hands in mine, we raced down the streets ignoring the glares we got and started to race each other as we burst into the front of the schoolyard.

Parents and children were everywhere as they ignored our presence until I heard a loud bunch of female screams.

"SASUKE-KUN"
"LOOK HERE!"
"SO HOT!"

I looked at a massive amount of girl and deadpanned.

I used to be in THAT group?! OH KAMI WHY?!

I mentally face palmed and sighed in annoyance and I dragged the two boys with me into the classroom run by Iruka.

Yep Iruka is the youngest teacher and he is awesome, well that is if he's not yelling at Naruto and banging my head.

Taking out my supplies I opened my book and banged Naruto on the head.

"Wake up Baka!" I smiled as he rubbed his head and he smiled back while Sasori grinned.

"Well Sakura, a-are you going to like Sasuke?" Naruto whispered as his face pulled into a agonized look. A flash passed his eyes and I narrowed my eyes but I shook my head.

"No Naruto I won't leave you... I promise!" I put my thumb up just like he did.... That one time at the gates.....

That time my vision was blinded by teats and I had failed to notice the Agonized sadness that he held when he made that promise, the promise to bring Sasuke back..... That smile plastered on his face, the feeling of something wet on my cheek and he walked off.

"Hey Sakura-chan are you ok?" Naruto shook my shoulder as I pulled out of my thought of the past.

"Wha- oh yeah... I-im fine..." I mumbled and I could feel the stare from Sasori when he glanced at me, knowing that I lied.

I focused on the day which passed quickly and Lunch came quickly. I got my lunch as my two best friends followed me to a tree, with a swing....

I sighed and sat on the swing as I started to eat as I heard my stomach growling in desperation.

Suddenly Squeals and screams were heard and I looked over to see the massive amount of girls cuddling up to Sasuke as he grimaced a bit.

I just looked at him with a bit of disgust and sighed pushing my lunch away, well more like handing it to Naruto as he gladly took it, devouring it and I laughed.

Sasori placed his hand on mine and I leaned into his side while all 3 of us started to watch the clouds. I felt Naruto place his hand on my other and we grinned as the breeze carried the scent if honeysuckle and fresh dew grass.

I breathed the fresh scent in and closed my eyes sighing contently gripping the two boys hands.

After class------

We trudged home with satisfied looks on our face and sighed when Naruto tripped bringing Sasori down with him.

"Wah- BAKA!!" Sasori shouted as he fell and tried getting up.

I put a palm to my face and looked down seeing Sasuke sitting on the dock by a lake, his expression was lonely and sad, somehow noticing a stare he looked up and saw me staring at him.

His body tensed as he prepared to bolt until he noticed the two idiots behind me.

I smiled softly at him, turning my head away as the two boys stumbled to follow me but one thing for sure. Naruto had given the same stare and smile to Sasuke.

I grinned as we walked away, the sun setting casting our shadows and mine, mine was the longest of them all.

Walking down the stone cobble streets I looked at tue scenery beside me.

Buildings arched around me with little violet coloured flowers springing from fresh grass, the smell was intoxicating and I drowned myself in it.

Heading into a small clearing I opened my mouth and took a breath.

Our foreheads touched and I smiled into those brown eyes and ran a small hand threw his red hair as we gazed into a new tomorrow....
