"...you've got to be kidding me." Haerim muttered under her breath as she spied the conspicuous banner afar from the gate,"31 days left?"

"I would never want to bump into math but still,thanks." haerim slightly rubbed her forehead,"daniel."

daniel caressed the red spot with concerns,"has anyone asked you out yet?you know,as a prom date."

she shot him glares of despair and brushed his hand off as a sign of no big deal,"yeah,my true love,food I guess."

he chuckled like a kid as usual,wrinkling his face a bit,"you wouldn't have to go with food if you stop being so unapproachable."

daniel was in fact stating some truth; haerim is actually one of the well-known ulzzangs in Seoul High,however,she looks frigid on the outside which made most people hesitate to come near.

being neighbors for years since childhood was the reason why they were close. Haerim's parents are often occupied by business,so technically,Mr. and Mrs. Kang are just like her second parents,she would always be welcomed to their place.

"ugh,I'm trying,but socialising with people really isn't my forte." haerim took a sip of her milk tea,"months ago,I actually thought going with bora and eunbi would be nice,but they both got boyfriends now. I'm the only one left struggling for a date."

haerim was never the kind who would be interested in love or boys,so basically her experience of interacting with another gender was almost blank,excluding her family and some teachers.

"how am I so awkward with boys? I couldn't even manage a simple smile while talking to them." she sighed.

"wow,I feel offended." daniel joked,clutching his shirt as if it's his heart,"you do remember I'm the opposite gender of yours right?"

"no,I don't." she smacked daniel's shoulder for suddenly stealing her drink, but eventually gave up and scrolled her phone instead.

"bora's gonna bury my lazy ass alive if I don't show up." haerim mumbled before separating ways with daniel,"bye dan,good luck getting a date,even though you don't need them."

Daniel raised his hand with his back facing her ,tenderly smiling but thinking otherwise.
