Third POV

She woke up confused. Since she was laying down she assumed that she was in her room, probably for a night's sleep. She tried getting up, but she couldn't. Looking down she noticed where she was and what happened.

"Ok, why am I tied up?!" Pidge shouted out.

From a distance the rest of the team was quietly eating lunch until they heard her.

"Seems like someone is awake." Shiro choked on his food. Even though he was the leader, he could still be scared of Pidge. I mean who wouldn't?

"Deadman." Keith placed his spoon down. "Well it was great while it lasted. Maybe in the afterlife, we'll meet again, but now it's time for you to die for your third time."

"And by a gremlin, so sad." Hunk added.

"Is Number 5 that scary?"

"Oh you don't even know. Back at the Garrison I was so scared to even talk to her. Especially when Lance pissed her off."

"Oh." Coral started understanding. "Well good luck to you Shiro, I'll have a pod ready for either your escape or to heal. Never mind, I'll just get both ready." Coran started leaving the room.

"I'll go." Lance looked up.

"Are you crazy?!" Keith asked.

"Possibly."

"She can not see you right now, she isn't in the best state of mind."

"Well it's either I go or Shiro loses another arm or worse dies, and I think he's gone through enough by now."

"Fine, but as soon as I hear you scream I will not come and rescue you."

"Fair enough. Just, at my funeral I want Keith wearing a dress." Lance walked out the room. This was really a dumb idea, but he needs to talk to her.

"What idiot did this?!" Pidge yelled.

"Yeah Lance is dead." Hunk sighed.

"Idiot here." Lance answered, but Pidge remained silent.

"Listen I know I'm probably the last person you want to see right now, but we need to talk."

"Your right." Pidge sighed and Lance felt a little weight lifted off of his shoulders. "You are the last person I want to see OR hear right now." And the weight was added back.

"Pidge, what I did to you was dumb."

"At least you were acting like yourself."

"And I didn't acknowledged your feelings." Lance ignored her comment.

"Who does?"

Lance was about to continue until it processed in her head. "What did you say?"

"Who does. As in who acknowledges my feelings?"

"Every on this ship!"

"No. That's who you think acknowledges my feelings, but I were to ask you before this whole mess if I was upset, depressed, or distant. What would you say?"

"No."

"Exactly. And now that you basically know my life story and that I am actually very depressed, suicidal, and at one moment in time I could've died. What do you think?"

"Yes."

"But did you know that before? No. So you see? No one acknowledges my feelings, no one really cares, no one truly loves me."

"I do, I love you with all my heart!"

"If you did I would be untied by now, you would shower me in kisses and tell me every second that I play an important role in your life. Not from being a paladin or a close friend, but something more."

"Then I'll do it!" Lance started untying her and one she was all done her sat her up, Pidge's head was staring at the ground. "I love you with all my heart and I will never stop loving you. Yes, you are important! Your the love of my life for crying out loud! So when you say you aren't worth it, it breaks my heart. Because you worth every second of my life." Then he kissed her, but she didn't kiss him back like he had expected. Pulling away, he noticed the tears rolling down her face.

"But I can't. I can not love you."

"No, you just think you can't."

"No. I can't love you, no matter how bad I want to. I can't give you my heart because there's nothing left to give. I'm too scared to open up because I'm afraid of what will happen once they leave. I've had bad experiences with men, I think it's a sign. I'm not one to love."

"That's fine, I can help you learn!" Lance was crying as well, his hands were placed on her shoulders, keeping her in place. From what? He doesn't know. He pushed himself back into a kiss, it was hard, but all he wanted was a reaction. A sign that he can fix her.

"You can kiss me all you want, but nothing will change. After reliving those memories, I honestly can't do it anymore. Dreams were hard enough, but now the whole thing replaying in my head, plus you guys know!"

"Pidge, it's fine. We won't treat you any different." This time he placed a soft and gentle kiss on her lips, one she returned. He was happy, happy knowing she wasn't closing herself off again.

She let out a sob. "I tried, i tried getting the spark back, but it just wouldn't work. I want to love you! I want to wake up every morning with you there, telling me I'm important. I want to kiss you like it will be my last time, because one day it will be. I want to look in he mirror and say someone loves me!" She looked into Lance's eyes before saying her next words.

"I don't want to stay up every night, with a blade to my wrist, trying to end it all, but in the end tell myself that one more day wouldn't hurt. I want you to be there to stop me when that day comes when I will not wait for another day." Pidge held tightly to the edges of the bed and cried out while Lance's eyes were wide. He has never seen her so broken before, but at the same time, Pidge letting her emotions out showed she's brave, strong and beautiful. He would risk it all just to see her smiling again, and that's what he'll do.

"Pidge, I am always here. No matter if you want me there or not, but I will stay. I will take every single one of your feelings into count and I will make sure harm doesn't go your way. This is just the beginning, so get used to my nagging. Because I am here to stay and I will make sure you will love again. So you can enjoy our moments together. So you won't risk your life. So you can finally understand love. I'll do it all for you." He lifted her head and she stopped crying. "Yes I sound cheesy, but what will a queen do if her Knight isn't there? I will listen to everything you have to say, but right now I need you to listen to me."

"Katie Pidge Gundersun Holt, you are the most important thing in my world. I love you."
