Chapter 4 (Cont):
I haven't seen Dracul since I was 14. Back when I was still evil.

Everyone on the island knew that he was my brother, but Auradon had not heard of this.

Dracul was 2 years older than me and didn't look anything like me. While I had purple hair and green eyes, he had brown hair and brown eyes. You wouldn't be able to tell we were related if you didn't know that we were.

"Nice to see you again, sis." he said and smirked.

"I would say the same to you, but then I would be lying." I replied.

He scowled.

Let's just say we didn't say goodbye on good terms.

"You know you missed me, Mal."

"Maybe back then I did, but now, I've gotten over you. Jay and Carlos have become my brothers. They were there for me when you weren't. They didn't leave their 14 year old sister to deal with never seeing her brother again." I sneered and pushed Ben behind me.

"Look, Mal, I'm sorry, but you have to come with us now."

"And why would I do that?"

"Because if you don't, Evie, Jay, Carlos, and your little fiancé will be killed." my mother cackled.

My smirk fell.

I looked behind me at Ben and saw him shaking his head. In his eyes, he was pleading with me to say no.

I turned back to Dracul and nodded.

"NO!" I heard Ben yell.

"May I say goodbye to Ben?" I asked pleadingly.

Dracul looked at Mom.

She sighed and nodded.

"Alone?"

Mom groaned and disappeared into a green cloud of smoke as Drac did the same.

I turned to Ben and embraced him.

"You can't go with them, I won't let you." he said and held me tight.

"Ben, if I don't go, you and my friends will be killed. I can't let that happen." I replied tears falling down my face.

"But I love you, Mal."

"I love you, too, Ben. That's why I'm doing this."

"Mal, if you leave, my father will see this as an opportunity to marry me off to Audrey. I can't do that. I love you."

"You might be better off marrying Audrey."

He pulled back. "What?"

"She'll be a better Queen. She was trained for it. And I'll be forced to become a villain again. Ben, you won't be able to marry me anyway."

"Mal, you will be the best Queen Auradon has ever had. No amount of training could help you be a Queen. You are a Queen by heart. Even if you are forced to be a villain, you will never be a villain. You are the only one I love and will be the only one I love."

I was bawling at that point.

I slipped the purple ring off my finger, grabbed Ben's hand and placed the ring in his palm.

I looked up at his eyes and saw that he was confused. "Give it to a girl that really deserves it."

"Wha....."

He didn't get to finish because I had already teleported myself to my dorm room.
