26.Let the games begin
°You know you're in love when you can't fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams.
Paige👠
"No," I said not looking up.
"Just an hour."
"We know what happens with just an hour", I stood up, "and besides I've already ordered McDonald's."
"McDonald's seriously?" He laughed.
Yeah What's wrong with McDonald's?
"Sushi, Italian, Indian, pizza, Mexican, all these and you'd pick McDonald's?"
"I have so much to do, that's why," I said as I continued finishing up the paper work, because who were we kidding? We both knew that I was going to go and have lunch with him.
I had so much piled up work because I've been absent for two days due to Vegas' trip.
We arrived at the restaurant and ordered our food. We chatted for a while before our food came.
I looked at the table next to us as a guy with red roses came in and surprised his girl. I smiled as she jumped up in surprise with giddiness and kissed him.
"Love," I sighed resting my head on my hand, still looking at them.
"Stop watching them, you look like a creep," Dylan said as he laughed.
"I hope they end up together; they look so happy," I said as I watched them give each other food.
I then faced Dylan before I get caught watching them and look like an actual creep or a jealous person.
"We barely see love without heartbreak or pain."
"Sometimes people wouldn't mind the pain, because they'd consider their love worth it."
True, what if it's worth it, what if I find true love, the love that despite all the suffering it'll still survive, a love where we would want to suffer just to be together. In all the books we read, the movies we watch they fight for their love and they never give up, and this shows us how much they love each other. How much two people are willing to suffer for one another and I think that that would be the strongest and best kind of love. But again life isn't fair. What if we couldn't be together because of some kind of dreadful fate? That would definitely kill me inside.

After lunch, we decided to go back to my office. While we were walking out of the restaurant, I saw someone very familiar; it looked like Chloé. It was from a distance, but I immediately recognized her, even though I couldn't see clearly who it was.
She was walking, holding shopping bags while she was talking to one of her friends.
"Shit," I panicked as I pulled Dylan closer against the wall, "It's Chloé. I told her I was at work."
"Oh Paige, I can see you've been working really hard," she teased. Dylan then started laughing and moved off me.
I smiled at her sheepishly; I had nothing to say.
"It was my fault, I'll get her back to work now," Dylan chuckled.
"You've got to help me with the paperwork, cause you're the one that distracted me," I avowed as we got to my office.
"I'll have to see, what do you have?"
"Not your choice. You have to check the sales records and the account files."
We worked for hours with arguments, laughs, jokes, but we managed to be almost done with the papers.
My secretary then walked in and handed me a white VIP invitation card to the Charity Gala which was in a few days.
I read the card out loud in front of Dylan:
"You are cordially invited to the 2016 Annually Charity Gala. We would greatly appreciate your presence bla bla. PS: we're looking forward to seeing you on the list this year."
"You're going?" I asked Dylan.
No, I was not indirectly asking him to go with me.
"I never miss it, and I've been on the list for more than you can count," he avowed showing off.
"Oh yea? Well I've been on it too, several times."
"Not as much as me," he raised his brows as he smiled.
"Let's forget who got on the list the most okay? Let's play a little game," I started crossing my hands.
"I'm listening," he said, giving me his full attention.
"Whoever gets on the couple of the night list this time wins" I said smirking.
"You seem too sure. Don't get your hopes up."
"I get your private jet for a month if I win," I said smirking.
"Ohh what a huge price.. Alright!" he said grinning.
"And if I win you'll work in my place, manage my company, while I enjoy a vacation in Maldives," he continued and then smirked stretching out his hand.
"No way. Too extreme," I objected.
I ain't doing double work.
"You named yours and I named mine. Fairly played, depending on our desires and our desire to win," he professed as he smirked.
"Alright deal," I said shaking his hand after thinking of it.
"I'll have my lawyer do the necessary documents and we'll sign it today," I said getting out my phone to call him.
"I gave you my word. I won't cheat, don't worry," he laughed.
"More professional." I winked as I spoke to the lawyer and told him what to do.
After speaking with the lawyer and explaining what was required I dismissed him and carried on with the conversation.
"I'll send it already signed by me," I winked.
"Come have dinner and we'll sign it together?" Dylan suggested as he stood up adjusting his jacket.
"I've got so much preparations to do, some other time."
"Martin asked about you yesterday," he avowed and I smiled as I recalled the times we had with Martin.
I did miss him even though I spent just a few days with him. He managed to enter my heart in such a little time.
As he spoke, I recalled the memory of when I was in Dylan's shirt and that made me smile wider.
"My baby, I've missed him. I promised to get him a dog though," I said as I smiled.
"A what?" He laughed.
"He was lost between getting a dog or a fish so I convinced him to get a dog."
"Convinced him?"
"A dog is more interactive."
"I'm glad you didn't buy it, I would have kept you, Martin and the dog outside," he affirmed amusingly.
I laughed as I imagined Dylan's face when he sees Martin on one side and the dog on the other.
I headed home to get things done for the gala. On my way home, I spoke to my designer to get a dress from the new collection ready and delivered to my house.
Every Charity Gala I get asked by several guys and I just pick one. It's a Gala where we should go in pairs, and is similar to a ball. It's an event to raise awareness and which would help the kids who have cancer by raising money for their treatment and provide health care facilities for the centres in need. There's also a list on that night and three picked couples will be picked based on their outfit, compatibility and how good they look together for fun and to add some excitement.
Today was different, I had to pick the best of the best, to get on the list and win Dylan.
I've made it on the list three times, but I was sure Dylan has made it too, so I searched up the net to find how many times he has made it on the list.
The fact that he made the list five times, just increased my desire to win it this time. To show him that I could win it and then boast when I get his private jet.
I went home to find Chloé on her laptop, drawing some dresses for some new collection.
"Chloé we've got to find someone as soon as possible," I whooped sitting next to her and taking the laptop from her and dropping it on the table.
"Someone who is funny, flirtatious and serious at the same time, someone who is never boring and exciting but has something dangerous about him. Oh and has an exquisite taste in suits and is devilishly handsome," I listed while I pictured Dylan in my mind.
"You mean someone like Dylan?" Chloé chided looking at me and definitely saying that I was sick in the head.
"Better...if it's possible," I said. I ignored being offended because I did want someone with Dylan's traits, but hopefully would find someone better.
I called Jane to get the names of guys that I've gone with for the past years.
"You're weird, but uh let's see what we can do," Chloé said as she brought back her laptop on her laps.
After an hour of constant arguments, comparisons and gawking over several pictures, we got down to three names.
"You know what!?" I said immediately getting up to get my phone.
"What?" Chloé sighed.
"I'll call Kendall, he's my best friend and the new face of Calvin Klein. Two in one," I said as I picked up my phone to call kendall.
"Why don't you guys just go together?
Why do you have to make things complicated?!" Chloé said as she stood up and shook her head.
"Because I'm getting his private jet for a month," I said as I smiled and imagined myself in his jet.
"We'll use my father's, just go with Dylan to the Gala," she suggested.
I sat down and thought about it for a while, while she looked at me with exasperation.
"Go with him, I'll give you mine for a month," she then suggested trying to convince me.
Oh Chloé you don't know the games we play.
I never surrender first and I never call off the deal first, especially when I suggest the plan.
"I want his," I said pouting and batting my lashes.
"Both of you are idiots, weird, arrogant, and perfect for each other," she said as she counted the uhh honest? Adjectives given to Dylan and I.
"I'd say you're in love, but I'm not sure... yet," she muttered.
I rolled my eyes and dialed Kendall's number and waited in anticipation him to pick up.
"Kendall, I need you."
"What's up?"
"There's this Gala and I want you to come with me as my date.. please?"
"Me?" He asked surprised.
"Yeah can you?"
"How about Dy- never mind I can. Send me all the details," he said.
"Alright."
Just as I closed the line, the papers that I asked the lawyer to do had arrived.
I then signed the paper after checking it and wrote a small note that said 'It was nice doing business with you.' Sending the paper to Dylan with my driver.
Sneak Peak into 27
"No way," I widened my eyes at what I saw, bringing out the pieces and looking at them in confusion as I furrowed my brows.
