18.Their kind of us
○● We weren't lovers, but we had our special connection, our own world.
~Paige~
Stupid Alarm!
I stretched out my hand and searched for the alarm to switch it off while I still had my eyes closed. I was so tired; I stayed up late yesterday with Dylan.
It was an amazing night and the fact that I won the bet just made it better. I can't wait to cruise in his Audi.
I switched off my alarm and got back to sleep. A minute later, I woke up immediately and pushed off the duvet, remembering that I had something important in my university, because my graduation is like three days ahead.
"Ughh!" I groaned in annoyance, getting off the bed.
Do not underestimate the relationship I have with my bed.
I hurriedly brushed my teeth, wore my clothes and applied a nudish pink lipstick.
I wore a cropped white shirt with loose white high waist pants. I paired them with a sky blue jacket a white cross bag and blue sandals.

I had told the chauffeur about my class so he was ready. I couldn't have breakfast because I was already running late.
I arrived just a minute late. We had some rehearsals and had to check our diplomas if there were any mistakes concerning our name or personal information.
After the class, I went to have pancakes at Clinton's.

I got some chocolate chip cookies and went back home to have some rest. I couldn't get back to sleep; I hate when such things happen, but yesterday night was worth it. With him everything is different, special.
"Mr. Dylan is here," Jane said from behind. I was sitting on the couch watching television and biting on a chocolate chip cookie.

"Aii you personally came to give me the keys and hear me gloat," I said still sitting and facing the television.
"Paige..," I could hear exasperation in Dylan's voice.
I could smell popcorn.
Why would Dylan be eating popcorn!?
"Dyl-," I turned and saw a small child holding a huge bag filled with popcorn and holding Dylan's hand with his other hand. He had a huge smile plastered on his face. His mouth was stained orange- he probably drank something. He had long, blonde hair, styled like Dylan's hair.
"Oh hiii," I said in a very friendly tone as I gave a huge smile.
"Helloo what's your name handsome boy?" I asked him as I kneeled down to reach his level.
"I am Martin, Dylan's cousin and I want to be like Dylan when I grow up," he said as he hugged Dylan.
Dylan furrowed his eyebrows and whispered a help me.
"I think he's cute," I said winking at Dylan.
I noticed chocolate all over his mouth and some even on his nose.
I could use him to torture Dylan.
"Are you Dylan's girlfriend?" Martin said looking up at me.
I laughed and said, "no we're just friends."
"Why?" Martin asked.
Oh this boy.
"Because she doesn't want to be my girlfriend," Dylan said in a stubborn childish voice, quickly before I could answer.
"Ohhh....Why?" Martin asked again.
"Because Dylan is a bad boy," I said pouting at the little boy and then I laughed and winked at Dylan.
"Now let's get you cleaned up," I said as I handed my hand to him and he took it instantly.
I called Jane to help me with cleaning little Martin.
"Since when do you baby sit?" I asked Dylan.
"You're his babysitter now," he said handing me the popcorn bag.
"Oh no you're not running away!" I said as I tried to prevent him from running, returning the popcorn back to him.
In an attempt to stop him from running away I mistakenly dropped the popcorn bag.
"Noooo," Martin cried out frowning as he came out of the toilet.
"I'm really sorry," I bent down to pick them up.
"Oh Paige look at what you've done!?" Dylan said dramatically.
"It's okay. I'll get you another one," I said as I held Martin's hand and prepared my hand bag.
"Yaaay thank you Dylan's girlfriend," Martin said jumping up.
"Paige. My name is Paige," I immediately said and laughed it off.
"We'll watch the movie again, but now Paige will be with us," Martin said excitedly to Dylan, clapping his small hands.
"Again?" I asked Dylan surprised, raising my eyebrows.
Dylan in the cinema watching a movie; I laughed at the thought.
"Yea uh well we went to watch angry birds," Dylan said rolling his eyes.
"Angry birds!?" I couldn't stop laughing.
Dylan watching angry birds, this is gold.
"Yeah yeah very funny Paige.. I had to make him happy, his mom isn't here," Dylan said in a low voice, not wanting Martin to hear.
Where's his mom?
Poor Martin..
Is she dead?
Why is Dylan babysitting though?
"We'll buy popcorn and go somewhere else- the park, restaurant, lake, arcades, amusement park, these are much more fun than watching a movie," Dylan spoke in a calm, soft voice as he knelt down to reach his level, trying to convince Martin.
"Uhmmm we could go to all of them!" Martin screamed running all around the room.
All of them!?
Dylan and I widened our eyes and looked at each other, sighing.
"Ohhh that's a wonderful idea. Paige could take you to all of them," Dylan suggested after a minute with an impish grin.
Oh no Dylan you're not going to be able to escape this mess.
"Having Dylan to take you would be a better idea, his car is much nicer and didn't you say you want to be just like him? This would be great bonding," I said smirking at Dylan.
"You can have your car," I whispered to Dylan, giving up my prize from yesterday's bet. He then furrowed his eyebrows.
"If you go with Paige all the guys would be jealous of you," Dylan then said quickly and Martin nodded smiling as he shifted his attention from Dylan to mine and I fake smiled trying to think of a way out of this mess.
"If you go with Dylan all the girls will come and hang out with you guys," I suggested excitedly, trying my best to convince him to take Dylan and not me.
He then smiled and looked at Dylan, who was waiting for him to make his decision.
Yep taking Dylan would be a better idea, pick Dylan.... please?
Martin looked at us both as we spoke, trying to come to a conclusion.
"I know what to do!" The little boy blurted raising up his hand, smiling.
Dylan and I looked at each other smirking.
I knew he was going to choose to go with Dylan.
He's his cousin, he'll attract girls, and great bonding with someone he wants to be like.
He's going to choose Dylan; I can feel it.
"I'll take both of you!" the boy said giving a huge smile, his eyes rich in giddiness.
Dylan and I both looked at each other, widening our eyes and frowning.
Ooohh Noo!
Oh well, at least I'm not in this mess alone.
I have Dylan to share the torture with.
I don't think he's going to be much trouble though, but he's too hyper.
We first went to the amusement park, he forgot about the popcorn as soon as he saw the lights and all the games.
I went in first with Martin to get him tickets while Dylan was speaking on the phone.
He went into the swirling swings and I watched him from behind the fence around the game, waving back as he passed in front of me. He looked too cute and little.
"Hi," Dylan said sighing as he stood next to me and waved to Martin.
"Hi," I said as I shifted my attention from Martin to Dylan and smiled.
"I'm sorry I dragged you into this, but I couldn't think of someone else to help me with him," Dylan said.
"It's okay, I'm glad you came... Where's his mother?" I asked, hoping he'd not say that she's dead.
"She had to travel with his father to France because he had a serious lung infection. That's why she kept him with me, someone who's considered as a family so that he wouldn't constantly ask about them. He's going to stay for a few days with me before they come back," Dylan said, surely hurt by the tragic event.
"Oh," was the only thing I could say.
I felt my heart twitch as Dylan said those, I hope his case won't get worse.
Aw poor Martin.
After two hours at the amusement park and after several times of Martin dragging us into some of the rides with him, we finally left the place.
We went to a restaurant so that Martin would have dinner.
Martin isn't that much of trouble but if he wants something he's going to get it anyway.
We went to get ice cream for Martin. Dylan was driving and then we stopped at an ice cream stall. Martin wanted strawberry ice cream while Dylan and I went for cookies and cream. On our way back, I looked at Dylan and he had a big smile plastered on his face. I glanced at him each time and he was still smiling.
"What's it? Why are you smiling like a little child that's just gotten a new toy?" I asked as I nudged him on the shoulder.
"Nothing," he laughed.
"What? Tell me," I said curiously.
"It's nothing. I was just thinking about my life before I met you and now... I wonder how I would have been living if you hadn't walked into my life," he said taking his eyes off the road and reaching for my hand.
"Yesterday was amazing. Actually every day is with you," he said as he turned his eyes back on the road.
I was speechless. I caressed his hand softly and he flinched. He then looked at me and smiled again this time looking at me straight in the eye.
"With you everything is different, special. We have our special connection, moments, our own world," I said not taking my eyes off him.
"A different kind of us," he then said, looking back on the road.
He is the perfect mix of flirtatious and seriousness. One minute we're laughing the other minute we're discussing life issues. One minute we're lovers the other minute we're friends, I love this thing we have.
Wait lovers?!?!
"Aaaaaahh," I heard Martin shouting, distracting my thoughts.
Dylan quickly applied the breaks and brought the car to a stop. I looked back and saw that the ice cream melted and had spilled on his clothes.
"How'd this happen?" I asked as I unbuckled my seat belt and went down to clean out Martin's clothes and hands.
"I think I slept," he said with a worried expression, "Sorry Dylan. I spoilt your car."
"It's okay, are you alright?" Dylan asked in a worried tone.
How'd he spill it though?
There was ice cream all over his shirt and on the leather seats. I think the ice cream cone had fallen from his hand while he fell asleep.
"You need a shower right away," I said as I finished cleaning his hands and went back into the front seat.
When we arrived at Dylan's house, he called his driver so that he'll take the car for a wash.

His house was modern, with a little bit of grass and a few simple trees around it. His house was white with a unique shape. The bottom left part of the house was see through because instead of walls, the front part was made of glass. The top front right part was made of wood. The area around the house was very spacious and organized, illuminated by the lighting around the house.
"The room is to the left, second left," Dylan said as he opened the door to his house and followed us.

I quickly recognised his room. It was filled with his signature scent.
His room was so much like him- monochrome- white, grey and black. There was a large mirror on top of the bed. The bed was neatly arranged with a runner across it and pillows along it. There was a T.V. opposite the bed and a desk with files scattered over it. I guess this is where Dylan did some work. There were two bedside tables on each side of the bed. I liked his room.
"I'm guessing that this is your room," I said as I opened the bathroom's door and opened the tap.
"Martin, we'll be in the living room. Come when you're done showering," Dylan said as he handed him the towel and brought him his bag which contained his clothes and pjs.
"Wait!" Martin shouted shyly as we both turned to face him.
"I-I need help," Martin said putting his thumb in his mouth and looking at the ground, turning pink.
He means he doesn't know how to shower alone!?
Damn, I've never showered a child, let alone a boy.
"Shower him," I said smiling at Dylan as I winked and walked away.
"Oh no," Dylan said as he held my arm from behind and pulled me back, preventing me from escaping.
Okay what was I thinking? Letting Dylan shower him would be worse.
"Rock, paper, scissors; the loser helps him shower," Dylan suggested.
"Go," I said.
I won the first round. Then Dylan won the other round. We had one more round to go. It was hard to predict his moves
Yeah I know, we're like kids.
I lost!
I chose rock and he chose paper, I was expecting him to choose scissors, I imagined him more of a scissors kind of guy.
"Dylan please, help me," I said in a flirtatious tone as I got closer and batted my lashes at him, "that shirt looks good on you... and you know, I always need your help," I caressed his arm.
Yes girls. If you lose, flirt your way out. Use what mother nature has given you.
"Aw, flirting won't do baby," he said almost a whisper as he held me closer to him, his lips curling into a smirk.
"Can you guys not kiss and help me already.. both of you," Martin said in exasperation.
But we weren't going to kiss, were we?
Dylan was helping me by bringing the shampoo, and by applying water. He seemed too flustered so I tried to help him while he watched me from behind.
As I was washing Martin's hair, Dylan took a small bubble of foam and applied it on my nose. I then carried foam in my two hands and blew it in his face as Martin and I giggled.
"Oh no you didn't," Dylan said as his lips curled up into a devilish smirk.
Oh no!
