Hey guys! Kory here, and I'm updating. I'm going to try to update a bit more often then I do now, which is like never. I've just been going through some stuff outside of Wattpad and it's been hard for me to really set a side like an hour or even half an hour to just write. So I've been working on this single chapter for a bit now and on a new book that'll probably never come out, or at least not till I finish over half of it. Anyway, you guys know when the best time to sit down and write. When your sick! So yeah, I'm taking this great day of me being sick and using it on here. Anyway guys, I'm done annoying you all so you guys can go and read this not so great chapter now.

My hand ran along the wall as I started to walk down a small thing of stairs, which was only two or three steps. I was slowly walking towards a small light in what seemed to be the center of this machine.

The dull light lit up a few buttons around it, from what seemed to be a control panel.

I slowly reached out and pressed the button directly under the small light. I closed my eyes as lights turned on all around me, blinding me for a moment. When I slowly blinked my eyes open again it was bright, not like looking into the sun bright, but still bright. I looked down at the button I pressed to see it was in fact part of a small control panel.

Buttons of all different colors lay a cross it, even a few levers here and there. But my eyes stopped on what was a small computer screen lit up with blank spots to put in a date.

My hand reached towards it and put in the date 03/13/2024. A green button next to the screen lit up and I pressed it, not completely sure what it did.

The machine shook for a moment then was still and then a woman's voice said, "You've reached your destination."

I stood slowly, seeing as I had fallen down when the machine started to shake, and walked slowly towards the doors. A part of me told me to go back to the time I was from, that was if this thing even worked, yet I ignored it and kept walking. I wanted to see if this worked, I wanted to save my family no matter what. So, the moment I got to the door my hand reached out and grabbed the handle to the door. I opened the door in one swift motion and closed my eyes as brighter light pored into the machine.
