Scariest night in my life!
Aizawa's POV:
After Tomura took Izuku from me, he immediately dashed out of the room leaving me with everyone behind.
Me: Zashi, call Chiyo and tell her we are coming over with Izu.
Mic: On it!
Midnight: Poor kid.
That was all I had to say before dashing out of the room and entering the infirmary shortly after Tomura.
RG: Good grief, Shota! Why is he half dead?
Me: They played together and Izuku hid in the attic.
RG: You know what, I won't question your kid any longer.
Just once glance over to Izuku, I could see his pale body laying on a bed and his chest slowly rising and fooling. He was still alive. Then I saw Tomura sitting on the chair next to him and patting his hair a little bit.
Me: How long is he doing that?
RG: Since he came over.
Me: I see. How is my kitten?
RG: I won't lie to you. There is unfortunately not many things I can do for him. This night will be critical. If he survives it then his body will recover but to tell you the truth. I don't know if he can pull through the night.
Me: ....
RG: As you can see I out him on the monitor and also got him some breathing aid too. His lungs are currently too weak. I would love to do nothing more as to heal him but that would kill him immediately.
Me: Thank you.
The healer looked at me with pitiful eyes and sadness as well as anxiety was mixed in the look she was giving me. It was clear that the kid has grown on us even if it was just a short amount of time we knew him.
Out of respect to us, Chiyo told me she would be in the next room ready if we needed her but she would rest for now and give us the space we needed.
After the healer was gone, I went over to Tomura and pulled another chair beside him.
Me: It was not your fault.
It wasn't hard to guess what he was thinking at all. They were playing together and he was the searcher after all. Something like this was just an unfortunate event.
Me: He will get better.
Tomura: I know my little titan will. He always had.
Me: Did something like this happened once?
Tomura: No. Never to such an extended.
Me: Hey, don't blame yourself. You couldn't have known that he knew about the attic.
Tomura: But I could have suggested another game. It was my suggestion to play it because he loved it soo much.
Me: And I believe he had fun too.
Tomura: Did you fucking see him or are you blind?
Me: Problem child, I pulled him out of the attic. I saw him.
Tomura: ...
Me: I wonder way he didn't get out.
Tomura: He can't feel any pain or any temperature change.
Me: I am sure kitten must have realized how hot it is in there the moment he started sweating.
Tomura: Maybe but I don't think so. As I said. He loves this game. Izu most likely was thinking off all the possibilities where I would look for him and vague if he should move or stay in the hiding spot.
Me: *Sigh*
Tomura: That's just the way my little brother is.
Me: Next time you play make sure I am with you guys.
After that we stayed silent for a while and looked at him. My little kitten looked so calm and at peace but at the same time very disturbing because of how pale he was.
Me and Tomura decided to spend the rest of the day and night staying at Izukus side. Mic came over bringing me some coffee and a switch lite for Tomura. Even Nezu came over to have a look at the green bean and as for his situation. He also told me that he was having Power Loader to create a small mask that should help him breathe a lot easier again. I was thankful for that.
The day quickly changed into the night and the night evolved into the day. Both me and Tomura made sure that one of us was awake at all time watching his condition. To our surprise, instead of worsening he got a little bit better.
I could say very easily that this night was a night where I couldn't get myself to even close an eye for a second fearing he would be gone the moment I opned them once again. This was the most scariest night of my life. Never did I fear anything soo bad than losing my kitten.
The next day and the next week, Izuku stayed in bed completely unconscious. Chiyo told us that it was completely normal and that his vital status was improving which she was very thankful for.
A/N: Here is a pic of the mask I was thinking of.
It took Izuku 3 weeks to wake up. However the moment he woke up, me and Tomura were by his side and we all took care of him. He was our little sick and weak kitten after all.
In these 3 weeks, Tomura also agreed staying in my class so that Izuku could be under my surveillance at all cost. The grumpy cat was not so grumpy once I got to know him better and these 3 weeks we both bonded together.
We were a family once again and I knew that Izuku would get all the care and help he needed in the world.
