{13} - March

💕Sebster💕 - do you have any plans this evening?
Baby girl😍 - No. Why????
💕Sebster💕- I thought if you wanted you could come over after work and I'll make supper for us
Baby girl😍 - 😍
Baby girl😍 - have I mentioned recently how much I like you
💕Sebster💕 - you might have mentioned it
Baby girl😍 - well I like you a lot 💕💕💕
💕Sebster💕 - I like you back baby girl
Baby girl😍 - why did you say back instead of too?
💕Sebster💕 - because I don't like you just because you like me. I reciprocate your feelings. I don't have them because you do. That's not how it works.
Baby girl😍 - I never thought of it like that.
Baby girl😍 - my mind is extremely boggled
Baby girl😍 - I like that.
Baby girl😍 - saying back instead of too
💕Sebster💕 - what do you eat for breakfast?
Baby girl😍 - cereal or sometimes toast. Why?
💕Sebster💕 - I'm shopping and it occurred to me that I should get something you like for you to have for breakfast when you spend the night at my place
Baby girl😍 - you don't have to do that
💕Sebster💕 - I want to.
💕Sebster💕 - what kind of cereal do you like?
Baby girl😍 - Raisin Bran and special K red berries.
Baby girl😍 - or as panda calls them "old lady cereal" 🙄
💕Sebster💕 - do you like flavored creamer in your coffee or just half and half
Baby girl😍 - half&half. Flavored creamer is great in theory but you can't get the right mount of creamer and sweetener. You always have too much of one and not enough of the other.
💕Sebster💕 - got it
💕Sebster💕 - do you have a short flathead screwdriver?
Baby girl😍 - no I don't
💕Sebster💕 - 🤦‍♂️
💕Sebster💕 - sorry that was for Remington
Baby girl😍 - what do you need a screwdriver for?
💕Sebster💕 - I have to fix my coffee table. One of the legs is loose
Baby girl😍 - I didn't know you were a handy man
💕Sebster💕 - Ha! I'm not, but I can tighten a screw and change a lightbulb so I'm good
Baby girl😍 - I can do that too
Baby girl😍 - I can also sand, prime and paint pretty much anything and take a dryer apart, replace parts and put it back together again.
Baby girl😍 - vacuum cleaners too
💕Sebster💕 - Wow you're more of a handy man than I am. Not that it takes much
Baby girl😍 - 😬
Baby girl😍 - random question do you have a favorite flower?
💕Sebster💕 - I like orchids
Baby girl😍 - any particular reason?
💕Sebster💕 - my gram always had orchids
💕Sebster💕 - it's nostalgia thing I guess
Baby girl😍 - that's so sweet!

The entire apartment smelled amazing when Bethany walked in. Her purse hung off her arm and a small plant pot was clasped in her hands. The doors could be heard playing softly in the kitchen.
"I don't know what you're making, but it smells amazing."
"Pork chops, mashed potatoes and steamed asparagus with butter and garlic. And salad." She dropped her purse by the door and walked into the kitchen. She sat the plant on the counter and gave Sebastian a kiss before wrapping her arms around his waist.
"That sounds amazing. I brought you a present."
"You did?"
"Yup." He turned away from the counter where he'd been slicing cucumber. His eyes landed on the potted plant and he smiled.
"You brought me an orchid."
"I did. D'you like it?"
"I do. Thank you, baby girl." He pulled her close and wrapped his arms around her.
"Can I give you a kiss?"
"Yeah." He leaned down and pressed his lips to hers.
"Anything I can help with?"
"You can finishing cutting vegetables so I can finish the asparagus."
"Sure." She took the knife he offered her and and set to work cutting cucumbers and tomatoes and red onion. She hummed along to a song she didn't know and Sebastian began to sing softly. Bethany wished everyday could be like this one.

March was filled with dates and kisses, gigs and band practices, late nights listening to music and reading. By the end of March they'd read a total of eight books together. It had become routine for them to sit up late into the night, music playing softly and reading aloud.

———

It was a little past midnight when Sebastian fell asleep so Bethany put the book down and turned the light off. She tried to sleep, but her mind was awake and her anxiety was high. Finally she gave up and got out of bed. She went out to the kitchen and turned on the light over the stove. Sebastian's notebook was lying open on the table. Under normal circumstances she wouldn't have snooped. If the book hadn't already been open she wouldn't have looked, but she was curious what he wrote about. She only looked at the page the notebook was opened to. The right page was covered in, small, barely legible handwriting was what could accurately be assumed as lyrics. If it hadn't been so small she might've been able to decipher it. On the left page were a few little doodles and little bits and pieces of poetry. There were a few little poems, written the same way she wrote hers;

She
Was
Just
My
Kind
Of
Crazy. S.D

She was forever
Unexpected
And I was drunk on that
About her. S. D

My mind is like that pessimistic friend
I've known forever, but can't remember why
I'm still friends with. S. D

She smiled when she read them. Then she closed the notebook and sat down at the table. She tried drawing for a bit, but she was too tired so she pulled her baggie of kinetic sand out of her purse and played with it. She hadn't been there very long when she heard the bedroom door open. She turned to look at Sebastian. He squinted at the light and ran his fingers through his hair.
"What're you doin' baby girl?" He mumbled around a yawn.
"Can't sleep. Anxiety." She turned back to her kinetic sand. She let it run through her fingers. Sebastian came and sat across from her.
"What's wrong?" She sighed.
"You're leaving in two weeks and Andy leaves in less than one. And the firm is struggling and Janine's been in bad mood 'cos of it. And I miss my parents and trying to talk to them is hard 'cos of the time difference. I dunno, everything's just I don't even know how to explain it." She sighed again and made a hole in her kinetic sand. Then pushed it all back together before dividing it as equally as she could and pushing half of it to Sebastian. "'Nd I'm tired, but I can't sleep and that doesn't help." She yawned which made Sebastian yawn too.
"I'm sorry, baby girl." Bethany shrugged.
"It's not your fault." They played with the sand quietly for a few seconds before Sebastian wiped his hands on his pajama pants and stood up. He walked into the bedroom and came back a few minutes later with his phone. He sat it on the counter . Then he offered Bethany his hand. When she accepted he pulled her to her feet.
"What're you doing?" She asked.
"Helping. I hope." She cocked her head to the side and he smiled. "Hey Siri," When his phone woke up he continued, "play Bumblebee's playlist."
"Playing Bumblebee's playlist." Siri replied.
"You made a playlist for me?"
"Yeah." She smiled. Dream A Little Dream Of Me by The Mamas and The Papas came on.
"That's so cute! Thank you." She wrapped her arms around his waist and they moved gently to the music. "I love this song. Mama Cass was very unappreciated." She closed her eyes and inhaled deeply. "You smell nice." She giggled. Sebastian smiled.
"You do too." His head was resting against hers.
"But in your dreams whatever they be dream a little dream of me." Bethany sang softly. "This is helping." She murmured.
"Good." He replied and kissed the top of her head. The song ended and I Will started.
"You're my favorite. Have I ever told you that?"
"Favorite what?"
"Favorite person. Favorite everything." Sebastian furrowed his brows.
"Why?"
"Because you're here, you care, you listen. You're you." She giggled softly, "and you smell good." He smiled.
"You're my favorite, baby girl." She smiled. His heartbeat was comforting.
"'M sleepy." She yawned, a strange sensation against Sebastian's stomach, "But I don't wanna stop being here."
"We don't have to stop yet." He rubbed her back and she sighed contentedly.
"'M gonna fall 'sleep standing here." She giggled again. Soft and tired. Sebastian loved it.
"Should go to bed." He murmured against her forehead before placing a gentle kiss there.
"No." She whined, "Wanna stay here."
"Baby girl." He said with a soft smile, "you're not even awake anymore."
"Yes I am." Her eyes were still closed and her grip wasn't as tight. They stayed there for a few more minutes before Bethany was practically asleep. Neither wanted to stop. Not yet. But eventually Bethany couldn't stay upright so they called it a night. Sebastian carried her back to bed. He laid down beside her and she grabbed his hand, intertwining their fingers.
"Thank you." She mumbled, kissing the back of his hand and then pressing her face into her pillow.
"You're welcome." Sebastian replied, eyes closed. "Love you, Bumblebee." The last part was mumbled and mixed with a yawn, but it didn't matter because Bethany was already asleep.
