betty archie and veronica were on the hunt for jughead, searching the woods for any sort of sign of her.

archie wasn't the biggest help since he was blaming everyone about the plan except himself. except mentioning the part where he's the one who probably gave away her location.

"it's going to be okay archiekins." veronica says trying to comfort him with a rub on his shoulder, when he pushes her hand off of it. veronica looked really confused on that action, but let it slide since she knew he wasn't being himself right now.

"arch i'm sure she's okay." betty says, knowing that would have a greater chance at calming him down.

he sighed, flashing his flashlight in all directions, he can't lose her.

"turn airplane mode on to save battery for the flashlights." betty suggested.

jughead and alice were driving around riverdale trying to find them. meanwhile jughead was calling all of them over and over but none of them picked up, they all went straight to voicemail.

jughead sighed, looking around.

"it's probably those southside serpents." alice scoffed in complete disgust.

"actually they helped me." i defend, i don't know exactly why i'm defending them but there's just something about them.

i could actually feel her eyes roll to the back off her head.

"they're not that bad, anyway we should probably focus on finding them."

"we should honestly just call the cops." alice suggests, making the same turn she made a couple of minutes ago.

i groan and hit my head on the back of the seat, which hurt really bad from the constant head hitting an hour ago.

"we can't because then we would have to tell them we opened someone else's mail and broke into fp's trailer. well none of that was me so i guess you can call the cops."

hours passed by and we still haven't seen them anywhere, we finally start to search the woods behind the cooper family house.

i was dreading this, but where else could they be at this point?

we shouted their names for a good amount of time, splitting up to look for any one of them.

betty archie and veronica went deeper and deeper into the woods, not seeing an end to it anytime soon.

archie slides down a tree, freaking out.

"arch, let's just go back home, tell our parents." betty says, archie dropping his head into his hands.

"she's right archie, maybe she even got home somehow." veronica remains positive. she doesn't know jughead that well so she doesn't understand why archie is so scared for her. jughead.. can't exactly control her anger sometimes.

"i can't lose her." archie says.

veronica tries her best to sympathize with her boyfriend, sitting down besides him, "she's a strong girl, i bet she's already figured something out." veronica smiles at him, rubbing his back.

archie kept snapping at veronica, it wasn't her fault. it was his fault for being with her despite his feelings for his bestfriend.

"you don't even know her veronica!"

"arch.." betty tried to calm him down, but it wasn't working.

"let's just go back, okay? we can't do anything for jughead sitting here." betty did her best to convince him of this. archie was starting to become hostile.

he nodded, getting up and they all walked back.

jughead sees archie's red hair once again, and grins as big as she can, running towards him and jumping on him, which probably scared him until he realized who it was.

"arch."

archie's arms wrapped around her back, pulling away to look at her face, "what happened to you?" he asked, moving hair out of her face and staring at her bruises on her forehead.

"we can talk about it later." she pulls him back into a hug and doesn't let go for a good minute and a half.

betty smiles at them, veronica looks confused and alice is wondering where the hell jughead ran off to.

"i was so worried about you." archie says, pulling away again. jughead avoids veronica and pulls betty into a hug.

it's not because she was trying to be mean it was just because they barley know each other.

archie smiles down at them hugging, a wave of relief rushing over him.

that's when he knew for sure that he's in love with her.

they got back to archie's house, well that is jughead and archie.

they both sit on the end of his bed waiting for the other one to talk first.

"archie-"

"wait" he cuts her off, "i should probably go first."

she nods 'okay'.

"i realized tonight, that i need you. that i'm completely lost without you. i'm in love with you. for sure."

i swallow. "what're you even saying arch?" i sigh, not wanting to re hash the same thing over and over again and get hurt all over, especially when i was finally starting to get over it.

"i'm saying that i want you." archie blurts out, studying her face for any type of reaction.

"well then i want you too.." she says of quietly. she felt utterly vulnerable in front of him, waiting for him to say something else or make a move or something.. but he just sat there staring back at her.

"so what! you said we couldn't be together because you would hurt me."

"that was before.. but i want more than anything to be with you now and i won't do anything to risk it. please juggy."

she leaned in with him to a kiss.

it was sweet and gentle, their first kiss.

until archie of course pulled her by her waist onto his lap and slipped his tongue into her mouth, pulling her lap against his. a sweet thing turned sinful and it turned sinful fast.

they kiss slowly, lips locking taking over each other, flipping each other over every other second.

i love you. i love you too.
a lot more than three short words.
