Two weeks Later

When we got back to Wakanda our engagement was formally announced to the world. I felt the love and support from the people but most of the elders were still a little standoffish, but T'Challa just kept telling me to ignore them so that's what I did. Since the announcement things have been very crazy , told Ramonda our wedding date and jumped into action. I've spent everyday with her being her shadow, learning what was going to be expected of me once I became queen. Between that and wedding planning I was feeling very overwhelmed. My idea of a small wedding was totally gone, the guest list was at 250 last I checked. One good thing was that I managed to talked to Tony and Steve into calling a cease fire for that day.

"Ayesha did you hear me?" Ramonda called pulling me from my thoughts

"I'm sorry what?" I said looking at her and Afua, the palace designer, we were discussing my wedding dress.

"Colors for your bridesmaids?" Afua asked

"Well we haven't exactly worked out who's in the bridal party just yet, but I don't think it will be that many people."

"Why don't we stop for today, you have everything you need to start the brides dress. We will get back to you by tomorrow day after at the latest." Ramonda said and she bowed

"Of course Queen mother," Then she turned to me

"My lady." I nodded in return that was going to take a lot of getting used to.

"Are you alright my dear?" Ramonda asked as we walked towards the dining room

"Yeah... nothing I'm fine."

"I know it's a lot to take in at once but it gets easier I promise." She said with a smile and I nodded we walked into the dining room, where we would be cake tasting. I couldn't help but smile when my eyes landed on my fiancé, who was on the phone, once he saw us he ended the call and walked over to us

"Ladies." He hugged his mother then me, he rubbed my back I knew he could feel how tense I was

"Mama while we appreciate all the help, I think we'll handle this on our own." He said and she smiled

"If you wanted alone time that's all you had to say." She said leaving the room

"Can you give us a few minutes?" He said to everyone else in the room, they nodded and left the room closing the double doors behind them. once the doors shut T'Challa pressed his lips against mine, I wrapped my arms around his neck. We pulled away and I laid my head on his chest

"How are you my love?" He asked and I looked at him

"Stressed,"

"Take a break if you need to, I'll deal with my mother."

"No, I want to prove I can handle this. It's just an adjustment, I never thought I'd become an actual queen one day.... Or get married and now it's all happening at once it's just a little overwhelming."

"We can push it back if you want,"

"No! I want to marry you, I want to be your wife, but this planning part sucks." We laughed and he kissed my forehead

"I agree I don't get to see you as much anymore." He said holding me tighter

"Hmm I know, how's your day going?"

"About the same as yours. I passed down my judgement on W'Kabi before coming here." He said and I looked up at him, he told me last night that the final punishment was going to be banishment for him and the others

"And how did he take it?"

"Honestly I don't know, he didn't say anything."

"I'm sorry." I said rubbing his back

"Yeah...Let taste this cake." He said letting me go and we walked over to the table

     I held back a groan, as the butler brought out another tray of cake samples, this was the third one, and they all had at least 20 types of cake on each.

"I'm going to need a bigger belt when this is over." T'Challa said tasking off his suit jacket

"How many more samples did the Queen mother approve?" I asked the butler as he sat the tray in between us.

"There are four more tray ma'am." He said and I felt like I was going to be sick

"Thank you." I asked as he walked away

"Who knew there was so many different kinds of chocolate?" T'Challa said looking at the tray that was just placed in front of us

"Yeah I think we may need to talk to her, because I definitely remember telling her I don't like chocolate cake."

"Well thank the Bast we can pass on this one." He said motioning for this one to be removed

"I think we're officially in over our heads." I said taking his hand

"This makes saving the world look easy." He said making me laugh,

"I think I have a way to make this easier for us, and we still give the people what they want." He said and I looked at him

"I'm listening....

One Week Later

"Ok what do you think?" Shuri asked once she finished curling my hair

"It's perfect, thank you my dear." I said putting my lipstick

"I can't believe this! Are you ready?" She asked with a smile and I nodded eagerly I put down the lipstick I checked myself once more then Shuri and I walked down to the gardens. My uncle, grandfather and Ramonda we waiting for us right outside the doors, they turned when they heard us coming Ramonda gasped

"You look so beautiful." She said hugging me tightly

"You're just missing one thing." She motioned to some one they opened the box, it was a beautiful diamond crown.

"Oh my God."

"I had this made just for you." She said putting it on my head being careful with my hair

If you haven't figured it out yet, T'Challa and I are getting married today. We're still going to have our big spectacle wedding but this is the one that mattered. Just the two of us and our families, in Ramonda's garden. Just what we wanted, M'Baku was going to serve as both the best man and representative for the elders. Shuri is my maid of honor, and both of my guys are giving me away. There was no way I could choose just one of them. Ramonda helped me get a dressed picked out and fitted fast

"Let's get this show on the road, before the groom has a nervous breakdown." Shuri said handing me my flowers, I laughed and shook my head as the door opened and Ramonda walked out first

"It's not too late to run." Uncle James said taking my arm and I rolled ,my eyes

"Oh ha-ha."

"Are you nervous?" Pops asked me as he took my other arm and I shook my head

"No, it's my dream wedding, to the man of my dreams I'm happy."

"That's all that matters." He said then we heard the music and walked out into the garden.

I felt the most indescribable feeling when I locked eyes with my soon-to-be husband.

Oh that word: My Husband
