T'Challa held my hand as we sat across from Dr. Tomi as she explained my surgery. The scar tissue was able to removed, and it would bring down the risk of miscarrying down by 40%. After the surgery I would have to rest for around two weeks.

"So do you have any questions?" She asked

"No, I think you covered everything." I said and T'Challa nodded in agreement

"When would you be available to it?" I asked her

"I am available whenever you are ready," She said and I looked at T'Challa, it depended on when he would be free, he wants to be here every step of the way

"Thursday is perfect." He said that was the day after tomorrow.

"Alright Thursday morning it is." She said and I signed the papers and we left her office

"How are you feeling about this?" I asked him

"Dr. Tomi is the best, I know she'll take care of you. I'll spend tomorrow arranging things so they can work without me for a few days." He said and my kimoyo beads lit up in green, it was Pops. He has been calling I know I was being petty but I still was upset with him

"You should answer that."

"I don't want any stress before this surgery."

"He's just worried about you, talk to him." He said and I sighed

"I will...soon." I said and he rolled his eyes wrapping his arms around me

"You are so stubborn."

"Yep and you love it." I said then kissed him

I opened my eyes and blinked a few times and looked around the hospital room/ I felt a dull ache in my lower stomach and my mouth was so dry.

"Hi sweetheart." I looked over and saw pops sitting beside my bed

"Hi." I said softly I was happy to see him, I knew T'Challa had something to do with this.

"How are you feeling?"

"Thirsty." I said and he handed me a cup and I took a sip

"When did you get here?" I asked him

"Not to long after you went into surgery, T'Challa called me yesterday and told me you were having surgery," He said

"James told me about the baby and I'm so sorry."

"It's not your fault, and I shouldn't have been as I was. You're right she still is your daughter."

"But that does not excuse what she has done to you. I love you like you are my own, and I should not have tried to force you into something you are not ready for." He said as Dr. Tomi and T'Challa walked in. T'Challa smiled at me and came to set next to me he leaned down and kissed my forehead

"How are you feeling my love?" He asked

"I'm in a little pain but I'll live." I said

"We can get something for the pain. I just want to let you know everything went well with the surgery we're going to follow up with some scans and you are going to have to rest for the next two weeks.." She said and I frowned

"She will." T'Challa said looking down at me and Pops smiled

"Good, I'll go get your medicine."

She came back and gave me some medicine and I made small talk with my guys before I slowly fell back to sleep

After Ayesha went back to sleep,

"Can we talk sir." I asked him and he nodded and we walked out the room to let her rest

"Thank you for take such good care of her." He said and I shook my head

"You don't have to thank me, I love her. She has me wrapped more around her finger." I told him and he laughed a little

"I can see that, and you have her as well. She's never been this comfortable with anyone outside of our family." He said and I smiled at his words

"I would like your blessing to ask her to marry me." I admitted and he looked at me

"It's pretty early on don't you think?"

"We've talked about our future and I know she's still working with her therapist. I'm going to be by her side."

"I want you to give her some time to heal."

"I don't want to do it tomorrow, I'm going to wait for the right moment I just want your blessing when the time comes." I said pulling out the small box and I handed it to hm he opened it and smiled at the purple diamond

"I was my mother's I'm going to have it resized for her."

"If I give you my blessing you have to tread lightly we both know she pulls back when she gets overwhelmed and with everything you both have been through lately it could be too much too soon," He said and I nodded at his words I've thought about all of this

"You have my blessing, and good luck she's a handful." He said and I chuckled and nodded.

"I'm ready for it." I smiled as I thought about her stubbornness, she challenged me on everything, but always gave her support when I needed her. She was there for me when I lost my father, she was there when I lost my country and fought beside me to get it back. My future was going to be with her, our lives are going to be together and we were going to achieve everything we could dream of.
