"How can such a small person eat so much?" T'Challa teased as I scraped my plate

"I'm hungry and this was sooo good." I said to him

We left Vienna yesterday, the world was still buzzing about Wakanda. T'Challa told them about the vibranium and how they used it to create many different advances in science, math, and technology. He also announced the plans for the outreach center in California and the embassy in New York.

We were taking a short break before we went back to Wakanda we stopped in Paris. I was planning on telling him my news tonight, I was nervous, but it was now or never. I looked at him, he had a small frown I could tell he was still thinking about everything.

"Hey, your father would be proud of you. stop doubting it." I said placing my hand on his he looked at me and smiled.

"Thank you for being by my side through all of this." He said then kiss my hand

'What are you doing as asked as he looked down at my hand

"Nothing, I just love your hands." He said as I felt his thumb rub my ring finger

"You know you already have my heart; you don't have to keep up the sweet talking." I said with a smile

"As long as I have your heart, I will take time everyday to tell you how beautiful you are." He said and I smiled.

"I have something to tell you." I said and he nodded

"I um- "I was interrupted by someone calling his name

"T'Challa?" I looked over and standing next to our table was a very pretty black women, she looked very familiar, but I could put my finger on where I've seen her before. Then I looked at T'Challa who surprise to see this women.

"Hello Monica." He said and it clicked

"Monica Lynne, right? The jazz singer." I said holding back the part that they used to date. She looked at me and nodded

"My uncle is a big fan of your music. I'm Ayesha." I said holding my hand out, she looked at it then shook it quicky and let go. Then she turned all of her attention to T'Challa, then tension was thick. As they looked at each other I couldn't help but look at her. She was very pretty, and she was obviously still hung up on him and now I couldn't help but wonder if he felt the same

"Is there something you needed Monica?" He asked and she looked at me then at him

"No, I'm here with my band I just wanted to say hi." She said and he nodded

"It's nice to see you but we were just leaving." He said

"Oh well I hope we can catch up soon." She said softly then walked away I looked at T'Challa and slowly pulled my hand away from his. He sighed

"Ayesha- "He started

"I'm ready to go." I said looking anywhere but at him

We walked into our suite, and I stopped and took off my shoes then I walked towards the bathroom.

"Ayesha, we need to talk." He said

"About what?' I asked

"Don't go back to shutting me out."

"I'm not I'm tired and I want to take a shower is that ok?" I asked then walked into the bathroom without answer and locked the door.

I took a quick shower not wanting to give in to the thoughts in my head but it's safe to say the negative thoughts were back and stronger than ever. I walked out the bathroom with a towel wrapped around me and I saw him sitting in the chair by the window drinking, I walked over to my suitcase but stopped and turned to face him

"Did you sleep with her?" I asked

"Yes." He said and I felt my chest get tight

"When?"

"Almost two months ago right before Korea." He said and I bit my lip

"Do you love her? Because she loves you it's all over her face."

"No, I care for her as a friend we didn't end on bad terms."

"So that just leaves things open for you two sleep together whenever you feel like it?" I felt like crying

"No! it was one night I was out with W'Kabi I was upset about us. We had some drinks it was a mistake." He said but I didn't want to hear it

"Look I've been through this before, and I'm not going to be played again." I said and he snapped smashing the glass in his hand

"Have I ever given you a reason not to trust me!?" He snapped

"You- "I started but he cut me off

"No, I haven't, and you know that! I'm telling you I don't want her," He said, and I rolled my eyes

"You need to move on from the past." He said

"Excuse me?"

"Your parents left that was their loss. You still have had an amazing life full of people who love you. I love you and I've done everything I can to show you."

"I can't just get over it! I've tried believe me but it's there it's always there. I told you I was messed up when this started."

"Stop using that as an excuse. If you feel that way let us help you, but you don't you just push people away and wonder why your alone! I love you but I'm a man. A who stands by what he says and for the last time there is nothing left between Monica and I. You are the one I choose, I'm here with you, for you. now it's your turn to do the same." He said then walked out of the bedroom then I heard the suite door close signaling he left. I let the tears I was holding in fall
