I opened my eyes to see it was now dark out I looked over to see T'Challa sleeping in the chair next to my bed, I moved my hand to my side which still felt sore

"Ow." I said and T'Challa opened his eyes, and got up and came and sat next to me on the bed he took my hand in his and kissed it

"You should be resting." I said he laughed

"You got hurt and you're worried about me."

"You really scared me."

"That depends if it worked or not." I said laughing a little I regret it

"You guys can heal bullet wounds in hours but no stab wounds."

"You were stabbed with a vibranium blade, Shuri did a good job but you might still have some pain for the next couple of days." He said and I sat up sitting against the headboard

"Killmonger?"

"Dead." He said holding his head down

"I know you thought maybe you could talk to him, but he had poisoned himself with revenge. There was nothing you could do about that."

"Thank you." He said looked at me

"For what?"

"You saved me, you saved my country, you protected my family."

"I could not have done it without Nakia, it was her plan, and I never would made it through those tunnels without her."

"I already thanked her, and this is her home of course she would fight you didn't have to."

"When he threw you over that waterfall was one of the scariest moments of my life." I said then took his face in my hands

"I love you." I said and he smiled

"And I'm sorry that I made you wait; I just didn't know how to say the words." I said and he kissed me

"It's ok because you already had my heart, thank you for trusting me with yours."

"I should say the same to you." I said rubbing his cheek, I wanted this, I wanted him, I wanted us.

"Will you stay?" He asked and I started to answer but he kissed me again

"Don't think take a chance." He said then pecked my lips

"Stay with me."

"Ok." I said and he raised and eyebrow

"Ok?" He mocked I smiled

"I'll stay." I said hugging him, he wrapped his arms around my waist, and I felt him place a kiss on my neck. I pulled back and looked at him

"will the elders be ok with this?"

"Don't worry about them, I'm making some changes to the way we do things around here." He said and I smiled

"Someone told me I should build my own legacy."

"Hmm she sounds very smart." I said then kissed his cheek

"You need to rest." He said

"Lay down with me, you need to rest too." I said taking his hand he smiled at me then pulled off his robes and laid down beside me and wrapped his arm around me, I laced our fingers and we fell asleep together for the first time in a month.

I was finally able to get out of bed two days later, and T'Challa was already making changes to his kingdom. He started to make the connection between the Jabari and the other four tribes starting with giving the Jabari a seat on the council. The biggest issue at the moment was the boarder tribe W'Kabi and his men were locked up as they tried to figure out what to do with them. The younger ranks were being trained to take over temporarily

"When you said you were taking me to California for the first time, I thought you meant to Coachella or Disneyland." Shuri said as she frowned at our surroundings

We were a basketball court in Oakland, I had to admit I was curious as to why we were here too. T'Challa smiled at Shuri then looked up at the vacant building

"This is the building where our father killed our uncle.' He answered and Shuri looked at it

"They are tearing it down good." She said

"No, I bought this building." He said then pointed to the one next to it

"And that one, and that one, and that one." He said pointing out all the empty buildings in the area

"Why?" I asked looked at him

"This will be the site of the first Wakandan international outreach center." He said and I smiled at him then looked at Shuri

"Nakia will run the social outreach, but you will spearhead the science and information exchange." He said Shuri laughed

"Your kidding." She said

"Oh yeah?" He said the pressed on his kimoyo beads and the cloak was removed from our ship and it touched down in the basketball court

"What the hell is that?" one of the said then they started circling the ship

"That's like a Bugatti spaceship!"

"We can take this apart and sell it on eBay." One of them said then Shuri walked over and talked to them

"Amazing first step your highness." I said then kissed his cheek as one of the kids walked over

"Yo is this yours?" He asked T'Challa nodded

"Who are you?"
