Chapter Fifty Six

Third Person's POV

Jimin slowly opened his eyes, Jungkook was not beside him. Jimin smiled while looking at the empty space where Jungkook slept last night. He turned his head and picked up his phone from his bedside table.

He looked at the phone screen and saw the time: 7:59 am. He got up and yawned. He climbed off the bed and walked outside his room. He went straight to the kitchen. He was expecting to see Jungkook, but there was no trace of him there. He tried to remember if the younger male had mentioned anything about leaving early, but he was positive that there was none.

"Jungkook-ah?" Jimin tries to call him out, but no one answers. He thought that maybe he was just outside watering his plant, so he immediately went outside.

He didn't see him outside. "Is he pranking me?" Jimin asked himself. He laughed it off and just went inside.

Jimin made himself a cup of hot chocolate. He placed it on the table and decided to get his phone that was inside his room. He unlocked his phone and walked back towards the kitchen and scroll through it.

He pressed the home button and saw the two notifications in his imessage. He tapped it and saw the text messages for him. Yoongi is one of them, and below his message was Jungkook's name. Jimin quickly opened Jungkook's message to him.

At 3:25 am, he messaged him with, "I'm sorry."

Jimin was surprised by what he read, he was confused and was about to reply when he remembered that they slept at 11 pm. Does that mean he left earlier? Jimin sat down and took his mug, sipping his hot chocolate as he re-read Jungkook's message.

"Was he sorry because he had to leave early? Cute." Jimin said and moved on to Yoongi's message.

"Are you sure about this? You won't be seeing him again." Jimin furrowed his brows. He tried to read it again, but he didn't really understand it. Jimin bit his lower lip and decided to call Yoongi.

"Jimin-ah, I'm leaving the house now. Have you changed your mind?" Yoongi asked him on the other line. Do we have a plan that I didn't know about? He thought to himself.

"Hyung, I called because I was wondering what your message was about?" There was a long pause, Jimin was scratching his head.

"Hoseok said, you're not going so." Jimin laughed, "Where are we going, Hyung?" He asked him, amused.

"Hold on, Jimin-ah. Did I just heard you laugh? What goes on? Aren't you supposed to feel sad about him leaving, you two are close." Jimin's smile faded.

"Who's leaving?"

"Jungkook. Don't tell me you didn't know about this? Are you serious? Then why did Hoseok— okay Jimin-ah, I'll drop by your House, just be ready, I'm going to hang up."

Jimin went straight into his room. He went there to check his cabinet and noticed that Jungkook's clothes were gone. Jimin felt he had suddenly weakened and sat up in bed, slowly taking in what was happening. He was so confused now. They were okay last night. They even had a date together, and yesterday Jungkook assured him he wouldn't go.

"I won't go."

"Even if I go, I will still be running back to you."

"...or take you with me, so you won't miss me much."

Jimin shook his head, "No, no, it's impossible. I should call him." He told himself.

Jimin dialled Jungkook's number, but he couldn't reach him. He's not picking up his calls. Jimin is shaking as he texts him. His eyes were stinging as he typed every word. Jimin felt his heart throb in pain when he realized he couldn't send messages as he was blocked by Jungkook just after he called.

Jimin drop his phone on the bed, he sat there, thinking over and over, what has gone wrong? He can't think of anything, he bit his nail anxiously, eyes brimming with tears.

His phone rang and it was Yoongi.

The older looked at the younger as he took the seatbelt and wears it. "We are sending him off yet you chose to wear sleepwear?" he commented, Jimin did not mind him.

"Can we still make it? I think we should hurry." Jimin tells him, Yoongi just smirked and drove off.

Yoongi sensed Jimin's anxiety and called him on it, but Jimin ignored him. He is facing away from Yoongi. He doesn't want to see him cry. The younger male wiped away his tears as they continued to fall.

"Their flight is at 9 a.m." Yoongi trailed off, "I heard his mom came to persuade him last night. It was urgent, said by Hoseok, so they needed to return to the states immediately." He continued, and that's where Jimin put the puzzle together. The moment where Jungkook came and cried in his arms last night and asked him not to harm himself was actually a sign that he'd be leaving him.

Jimin let out a sob involuntarily as he recall vividly how strange was Jungkook acting last night, he almost didn't want to let go of him. He should've seen it, he should've asked for his explanation, at least made him understand.

His last message for him and the way he blocked Jimin, made him doubt every words that Jungkook told him, Yoongi worriedly look over the younger.

"Jimin—"

"I'm okay, just please hurry." The younger begged at him desperately. The older male didn't say anything and could do nothing but follow as he wished.

"We have 20 minutes."

The older said as they arrived at Incheon Airport. Both of them were running inside the Departure area, both trying to look for one person. Yoongi spots Hoseok who was there talking to Jungkook with Mrs. Jeon sitting on the waiting area.

Yoongi's phone rang and Jimin immediately looked at him expectantly. "Yoongi, where are you? They are about to leave." Hoseok stresses out.

Yoongi saw that Mrs. Jeon stood up and the younger male still had his eyes focus on his phone. "We're here." Yoongi answered, Hoseok was surprised by what he said and his eyes searched for Yoongi and he was stunned to see that Jimin was with him.

It was supposed to be a secret, but Hoseok predicted it would happen as long as he told Yoongi about Jungkook's departure. He may have agreed with Jungkook about keeping it from Jimin, but a big part of him still wanted Jimin to know.

Hoseok patted Jungkook and motioned him to look in front of him. He lifted his head and met Jimin's eyes. It caught Jungkook by surprise, he couldn't believe he was seeing Jimin now.

"Jungkook-ah?" Mrs. Jeon repeated, and Jungkook glanced over at his mother.

"Go ahead, Mom. I'll follow in a minute." Mrs. Jeon nodded and looked at the person Jungkook was staring at. They were far from where they were standing, but she managed to bow at them, acknowledging their presence, and then she walked up.

Jungkook faced the smaller male, who was already crying. The dark-haired male hurriedly launched toward him.

Yoongi glances back at Jimin and sees him crying again. Then, all of a sudden, Jungkook held the back of his head and pulled Jimin into his arms with his other hand resting on the smaller back. A loud sob escaped from Jimin's lips and hugged the younger just as tight. Jungkook pressed his eyes shut and planted a soft kiss on the side of Jimin's head.

Jimin never asked his Mom, his Dad, or even his Hyung to stay... If he asked for 'that, would that make any difference?

Jungkook broke away from the hug and touched the smaller male's cheeks. He caressed them softly, his eyes were sad, just like with Jimin's. The smaller held both of his wrists, and shut his eyes tightly, cheeks wet with tears as Jungkook leans in and pressed their forehead against each other.

"I don't know exactly why you're doing this, but please..."

"Don't leave me."

"Please, Jungkook. Don't leave, not you." The older begged shaking his head, there was a moment of silence and Jimin felt a dull of pain inside.

"Please..." Jimin pleaded.

"I can't..." Jimin bit his lower lip, crying painfully, he lowered his head and shook his head repeatedly.

"You said you would stay with me, but what are you doing? Do you not like me anymore? Do you hate me now? Are you done with me"

"I love you." Jungkook said sincerely, which added pain to Jimin's heart. He can feel his sincerity, but why can't he stay with him?

"I love you." He repeated it. He sobbed even more at what he said.

"If you love me, then why didn't you tell me you were leaving? I-if you love me, why are you leaving me?"

"She's pregnant." Jimin slowly opened his eyes and stared at the younger as he couldn't believe what he had heard from him and for a split second Jimin's mind went blank and he unconsciously dropped his hands off the younger. Jimin looked like he had been slapped by Jungkook's betrayal.

"Pregnant... did you hide it from me?" Jimin asked him because there is no way Jungkook didn't know about his girlfriend bearing his child.

"She kept it from me." Jungkook answers, "So? Just act you don't know then!" Jimin said bluntly, Jungkook shook his head.

"I can't do that, Jimin-hyung." Jimin reached for the younger male's hands, "Can't you think about it more? We haven't talked about this. You didn't even tell me about this." Jimin begged with desperation. The young male broke their eye contact and lowered his gaze. It hurts him to see Jimin like this.

"Jungkook, look at me, please look at me." Jimin removed his hands from holding him and cupped the younger's face, forcing him to look at him.

Jungkook pressed his eyes shut, "I won't stay, I already made up my mind. I won't choose you this time around." Jimin hands slide down and hit Jungkook's chest repeatedly, and the younger just let him do it until it stopped. Jimin leaned in forward, hiding his face on the latter's shoulder as he sobbed painfully.

"You said you would choose me, you said you would stay." Jimin keeps on babbling, Jungkook wrapped his hands around him, he hugged the smaller me even though he knew Jimin was angry with him.

Jimin felt him pressing a light kiss on the crown of his head, "I'm sorry," Jungkook whispered, his grip loosen and then it was gone, Jimin couldn't feel him anymore. Jimin only stayed there with a broken heart, head hanging low with his clenched fist.

With one last glance, Jungkook turned on his heels, wiping his tears as he walked. Jimin lifts his head and sees him walking away.

"But you're going to come back, right?" Jimin suddenly asked, Jungkook heard him and immediately stop on his track but the younger didn't say anything back and resume walking.

Jimin took a step forward but Yoongi held him back, he brush Yoongi's hands away and ran after the younger.

"Jungkook-ah!" He called him, Jungkook stopped walking so does Jimin, the smaller brushed away his tears using his sleeves.

"I can wait for you, even for too long, I can do that." His lips trembled as he continued, "I'll just wait for my heart to get tired of waiting for you, and when that happens, there will be no second chances," Jimin swallowed a sob, "I won't forgive you even if you cry, I won't look at you even if you beg me." The smaller male took a deep breath shakily.

"I may not forget you but I will sure hate you for the rest of my life."

Jimin was hoping Jungkook would turn to look at him for one last time but he didn't, instead he resume walking.

And here he was again, watching as people fade away right in front of him, even when this time around...

he had begged them to stay.
