Third Person’s POV

Jungkook closed the gate and looked around him carefully, hoping he would see the latter approaching or waiting for him. Jungkook chuckle dryly and shook his head, Jimin made it clear for him that he doesn’t need a friend.

Too bad though, the younger do really want to take good care of him. After the incident, Jungkook swore to himself that he will take Jimin as his responsibility, he wanted to be his guardian, his protector. Jungkook knew he was exaggerating but he can’t help but to feel sort of things after learning Jimin was mute.

After Jungkook learned Jimin couldn’t talk, it had affected him badly it doesn’t also help the fact that he had treated Jimin badly that night.

Jungkook regretted that and until now every time he remembers that moment he feels guilty. With one last glance, Jungkook turned on his heels and walk up.

Jungkook was in front of their University, he didn’t enter, again hoping he would see him. Jungkook wanted to check on him first before he start his day, it’s funny how it does reminds him of a thing that a parents would do, wanting to see their child first before they finally feel at ease.

“Jaykayyy!” Jungkook glance over Hoseok and return back his smile.

“Waiting for me?” He asked him happily, Jungkook smirk before shaking his head.

“Ah, don’t do me dirty like that, you really waited for me, didn’t you?” Hoseok insisted and Jungkook knew he was only joking. Jungkook laughs at him in response.

Hoseok wrapped his arm around his shoulder, “Let’s go inside!” He told Jungkook, the younger look around one last time and didn’t expect to finally see Jimin approaching.

Jungkook saw how Jimin’s eyes widen after spotting him. Jungkook wants to call out his name, want to approach him but Jungkook knows too well Jimin wouldn’t appreciate that.

But there’s something about Jimin that caught his attention, Jimin looks like he wanted to reach out for him, eyes doesn’t leave Jungkook as if he want to talk to him.

“Jungkook, let’s go.” Jungkook was the first one to look away as Hoseok dragged him inside.

Jungkook walked inside the room and met with Taehyung who’s busy on his phone, Jungkook took out his phone as well, check his phone hoping for new messages but there’s none.

“Jungkook-ah,”

Jungkook glances over the latter’s way, Taehyung still had his eyes fix on his phone.

“I already ask him out.” Taehyung says dropping his phone and finally looks at the younger.

“And what did he tell you? Did he agreed to it?” Taehyung smirked. Jungkook doesn’t need to be told, Taehyung smile says it all.

“The only thing I need to do now is befriend his younger brother.” Jungkook frowned.

“Brother?” Taehyung hummed.

“Yeah, and he’s attending this University too. Need to befriend him to know more about Seokjin.” He says laughing.

“I’m too smart, yeah?” Jungkook scoff and gave him a force smile.

“But the problem is, his younger brother doesn’t like me, despises me even.” Taehyung mumbled and it catches the younger’s attention, Jungkook arch his brow.

“How so?”

“I’ve done unpleasant thing towards the younger brother.” Taehyung says tone regretful and Jungkook broke into fit of laughter, that didn’t surprise him at all because Taehyung always does stupid things.

“What exactly did you do?” Jungkoook asked him interested.

“Well, uh, he was following me and I gave him a small punishment.” Taehyung told him and Jungkook instantly smiled, the person Taehyung was talking about does remind him of Jimin.

“I took his phone, made him wait and the rest is history but hey what’s that smile for?” Jungkook shook his head.

“I just remember something.” Jungkook replied.

“Oh.” Taehyung grinned which made the younger scoff.

“It’s not what you think.” Jungkook brush him off but his grin didn’t leave his lips.

“If not then who else?” He questioned Jungkook and the younger tore his gaze from Taehyung, smiling.

“Nevermind.” Jungkook mumbled.

“But then again, if I didn’t do that then I wouldn’t know Seokjin’s existence.” Taehyung suddenly added and Jungkook frowned, he didn’t know that Taehyung still has lots of things to tell. Taehyung heave a sigh.

“His brother is a snob though, he even run away from me yesterday.” Jungkook suddenly laughs in amusement.

“For real?”

“Yes but I didn’t expect to see him.” Taehyung mutters, “We were looking for Hoseok and surprisingly we saw them together.” Jungkook nods his head and asked.

“They are friends?” Taehyung narrowed his eyes and looked at Jungkook sharply, the younger look back at him with strange stare.

“Obviously,” Taehyung shouted attracting the attention of the other students, “I don’t have any idea.” He continued disappointedly, Jungkook shook his head.

“Why don’t you ask Hoseok-hyung?” Jungkook asked tone bored, it was the only way.

“Hoseok-hyung still mad.” Jungkook tilt his head in confusion, he doesn’t have any idea of this.

“Why?” He asked.

“Didn’t your cousin tell you? He fought with Hoseok-hyung and said things that hurted Hoseok-hyung badly, he got mad at us too.”

“Oh.”

“That’s why next time don’t spend too much time on your phone and starts to look around your surroundings carefully to be aware of what’s happening.” Taehyung lectures the younger.

“Shut up, hyung.” Jungkook retorts back.

“Did I lie though?” Taehyung bits back.

“Shut up our prof is already here.” Taehyung whipped his head and look over the door and when he noticed Jungkook fooled him, he throws him his pen.

Jungkook dodges while laughing, Ah Taehyung-hyung is really stupid.

Jungkook was walking through the hallway while checking through his dms. A sigh of disappointment escape from his lips, still he got no reply.

Jungkook’s message was left on seen, he pouted his lips before looking in front. His phone suddenly vibrates, it excites him and immediately check the notification.

“Jungkookie, eat with me! I’m sad and alone!”

Jungkook read the message in dismays, the younger still not use to this situation where he barely get any response. His phone vibrates again and the new message comes from the same person.

“Look up for surprise!”

Jungkook lifted his gaze and saw Hoseok, waving his hand while smiling widely at him. Jungkook smirked, didn’t Hoseok said he is sad?

“I’m hungry.” He complained while holding onto his stomach.

They were walking towards the cafeteria when Hoseok held on his wrist causing him to stop.

“Isn’t that Jimin?” Hoseok blurts out.

Jungkook perk in interest after Hoseok mentioned that name. He was utterly surprise, how come Hoseok knew about Jimin?

Jungkook throws him a look and follows where was Hoseok staring at and his eyes found Jimin standing at the other hallway with Taehyung blocking his way.

A moment of silence had passed before it hit Jungkook, does this mean Jimin is the one that Taehyung was talking about?

“Well, uh, he was following me and I gave him a small punishment.”

“We were looking for Hoseok and surprisingly we saw them together.”

Jimin has sibling, older than him and Hoseok knows him too. So Taehyung was talking about Jimin all along, Jungkook broke into a smile. Jungkook should’ve took the hint when Jimin came across his mind after Taehyung mentioned he was being followed. That’s a thing that Jimin would definitely do. He did that with Jungkook for a few times and that didn’t end well between them, Jungkook realizes it wasn’t only him but Taehyung as well.

“Do you know him?” Jungkook asked, his eyes still glued on them. Taehyung looks like he’s persuading him but Jimin had his head hang low, it makes him look cute in Jungkook’s eyes.

“Yeah, he’s my classmate-,” Hoseok didn’t finish his sentence as he busted a lung, Jungkook laughs as well.

Jimin did run away from Taehyung and the latter left dumbfounded, scratching his head in complete confusion.

“I see Taehyung is trying hard to befriend him.” Hoseok spare the taller a look, “The person that Taehyung want to date was Jimin’s brother.” He explained.

“Taehyung should stop, Jimin won’t talk to him even if he tries.” Hoseok’s expression sadden, “Because Jimin is mute.” Hoseok says tone sad and Jungkook looks away.

“Taehyung mentioned you were with him, yesterday. Are you two close?” Hoseok chuckles.

“No, we’re not, It was because I begged him and he got annoyed by me, you could say he had no other choice.” Hoseok replied, that explains why, Jungkook thought.

“Wait for a damn minute, why do you ask? Do you know Jimin?” Jungkook only smiled.

Hoseok pauses, eyes widening, “My stomach is growling, let’s go eat!” Hoseok whined.

While eating, Jungkook suddenly reminded of what Taehyung told him earlier.

“Well, uh, he was following me and I gave him a small punishment.”

Does it mean, it was Taehyung? The person he like? Jungkook questioned himself. The younger knows Jimin didn’t mention any name but Taehyung told him earlier that Jimin did follow him, the thing that you would do if you’re interested with someone.

The difference between him and Taehyung was, Jimin did stalk Jungkook because he saw him hanging out with them, Jungkook could say the smaller got threatened by him.

So, Taehyung it is, Jungkook thought it was Namjoon at first because of what happened in the Parking lot.

How sad that Taehyung ended up liking Jimin’s brother.

“Yah!” Hoseok snaps out while throwing fries at Jungkook’s direction. Jungkook glared at him before throwing it back to the older which made Hoseok crackle.

“What are you smiling for?” Jungkook shook his head in response, smile still painted in his lips.

Afterwards, they part ways and Jungkook headed straightaway towards his next class. Jungkook didn’t expect to meet Jimin there, he was sitting around the corner, eyes glued on his shoes.

Jungkook move closer and crouched down, Jungkook ruffled his hair and Jimin lifted his gaze, his eyes met Jungkook’s and it didn’t surprise the smaller male because Jimin was expecting to see him.

Jungkook stared at the younger knowingly thus he smile and spoke.

“I assumed you change your mind.”
