Yellow Gem| AVP: Requiem (AU) Part 2.

Fugi, Eclipse, the chestburster and I were walking around and we had found directions to the hospital, hopefully the same one from the movie. We could see the building up ahead as rain began to fall. At first it was a drizzle, but then it started coming down harder and harder so we of course pick up the pace. Lightning flashed in the dark cloudy night sky, loud thunder following after. Eclipse yelped and covered himself with his wings as he started running.
I, unintentionally, brought a fucking baby dragon to a HORROR MOVIE!!! I knew something like this was gonna happen! Fugi can easily handle himself if he isn't going against the Mega Predator, but Eclipse is just a baby. So is this chestburster in my arms, but he/she/it should be fully grown soon.
The once bloody chestburster shot out of my arms and took off slithering, I went to chase it but I stopped myself. Time for the little alien to get big and strong, maybe it'll come find us once it's fully grown. We all managed to get under the overhang at the hospital entrance, now protected from the precipitation.
Eclipse shook like a wet dog and flung water all over the wall, Fugi did nothing as it didn't bother him. Droplets ran down my armor as I wrung out my sopping wet hair, streams of water falling to the ground. Being soaked is an understatement, I'm DRENCHED. Man I wish I had my mask on, I'd be dry! I think. As I wrung out my sopping wet hair, Fugi for some strange reason lifted my chin to look up at him.
"Your mark has completely scarred over." He says, sounded rather astonished.
"It has?? It was still red and raw yesterday, how is that possible?" I went to feel my cheek with a carving in it.
Riiiight, armored fingers. Dammit how do I take this armor off?! Wait no, in THIS world I'm gonna need it. So I won't take it off here, but good thing I'm clothed beneath in case I need to.
"For my kind, our skin heals rather fast. Maybe a few days for it to completely heal, it seems that happened for you. Unless humans heal that fast." Fugi said.
"We don't, unless-" I suddenly remembered what had happened in the first dimension.
The Mega Predator. He injected that broken bone healing serum thing, or whatever the hell it was, into my spine. Did that serum DO something to me? And I don't mean heal my broken ribs somehow, I mean did it change me? Fugi will lose his mind if I told him what the overgrown fucker did.
"Unless what?" He asks.
"Certain genetic mutation I think, there's some pretty cool ones but now isn't the time. We need to get inside and find the next gem, which is probably gonna be yellow. And I really think we should be careful in there, this place is seriously giving me the heebie jeebies." I shuddered as I pulled my mask out of my bag.
"I can feel it too, keep your little winged reptile close." Fugi said as he summoned his wristblades.
"Dragon, he's a dragon. A Night Light to be exact." I picked up Eclipse, he seemed much lighter than I remember.
We enter the hospital, walking into a very dimly lit waiting room and with no one at the reception desk. This place is uber creepy, and there's this looming sense of danger. We halted in the center of the room, I was looking at all the children's toys in a play area. Fugi took the lead as he scouted around the room, his mask making blips as I assume he's switching in between vision modes. Eclipse looked around the room with his black and white ears perked, seeming rather curious about the place.
"Eclipse, this is called a 'hospital waiting room'. It's where people wait for people to come and make them feel better." I said to my little dragon and booped his little white snout.
Eclipse smiled and snorted, making little gurgles and looking absolutely precious. I love him, I love him so much. I also really liked that little chestburster despite it literally being born from a corpse, I felt that it just needed some tender loving care. I hope I get to see it again as an adult, and I also hope it doesn't attack my friends and I. Fugi turned to me and Eclipse.
"Nothing on this level other than a few bedridden oomans and what I assume are caretakers." Fugi said.
"Patients, Doctors and Nurses. They're gonna get killed by the nuke...Unless the Predalien gets to them first. He is our main concern, unless a certain someone decides to show up again." I rolled my eyes.
"Honestly, who in your world thought 'Predalien' was a good name?" The alien asks as he headed towards some double doors, I followed.
"I have no idea, I personally thought 'Predamorph' was a much better choice. Xenomorphs and Yautja have their own separate lore and story, but they came together for 2 movies, Aliens versus Predator and Aliens versus Predator Requiem. Your kind has a movie series called 'Predators' and Xenomorphs take the 'Aliens' title." I explain as we walked through the doors.
We entered a dimly lit corridor lined with several rooms, wow why is everything so dark?? Don't these people pay the electric bill? Or do they just have shitty light bulbs? Oh well, I'll never know because we ain't staying long.
"Oomans call us 'Predators'? We are hunters, not predators." Fugi mumbled.
"Yeah I know, but I think we consider you as OUR predators. I watched all the Predator films up to 'Predators', granted that was when I was 13. I did see a trailer for the newest Predator movie called 'The Predator' which I really wanted to see. I can only assume that that's which movie you're from because I've never seen you in the first 3, although you do bear much resemblance to the Jungle Hunter from the first." I whispered.
Fugi then held up his fist, signalling me to stop. I did so as he then made the "Shhhh" gesture, I nodded and watched as the alien silently approached one of the rooms. His wristblades were prepped as he leaned against the wall next to the doorway, much like soldiers do while about to raid a place. I tightened my grip on Eclipse and was ready to run in case something jumped out. Fugi then entered the doorway, and an inhuman screech occured. He took a few steps back and a facehugger launched out the doorway towards him, I gasped and stepped back.
But Fugi avoided it with such speed it would put Sonic to shame, and grabbed the facehugger by the tail. The crab spider creature screeched and thrashed around in his grip, trying to get free and hug his masked face. Eclipse looked terrified and buried his little face into my neck, I pat his back and shushed him while slowly approaching Fugi and the facehugger.
* * * *
"I hate these fucking things." Fugi spat.
"So do I! They're creepy, disgusting, and they bleed acid." Sky shuddered.
The creature tried to latch onto the Yautjas arm, but he then slammed the facehugger into a wall as hard as he could. The creature shrieked as Fugi continued the process until it stopped moving, it's legs hanging limp as it was clear it's bones were shattered. He dropped the facehugger and gave a hard stomp on it just for good measure, sickening cracking ensued. Sky just simply stared at the dead creature as the Night Light gathered the courage to look at it, seeing it dead.
"I'm hoping there's no more of those...I don't want you, Eclipse or me to get facehugged and be killed by a Xeno baby." She set Eclipse down and kneeled to look at the dead parasite.
"Yet you held one like it was a child." Fugi stated.
She squinted at the alien who for sure was smirking beneath his silver mask.
"Chestbursters aren't facehuggers. Chestbursters are snakes, I like snakes. Facehuggers are crab scorpion spider things, I hate scorpions and spiders." She lifted the facehugger by the tail.
"And why are you holding the thing?" He asks.
"Acid holder, this things blood could be useful and I think it shouldn't go to waste." She tied the facehuggers tail around a belt upon her armor next to her gun and knife.
The humans eyes then widened, causing Fugi to look around cautiously for anything else. Seeing nothing and the baby dragon still there, he turned back to her.
"What is it?" He asks.
"Something is gonna happen, something bad. Not the nuke." She said as she hugged herself and trembled.
There was then a loud scream coming from one of the upper floors, they looked upwards at the ceiling. The scream was then cut short as it was quickly silenced. Then another scream ensued.
"NOOO!!!! LEAVE HER ALONE!!!" A woman screamed.
Sky looked to Fugi with a horrified expression.
"The Predalien is here..." She whispered.
She grabbed her mask from her bag, tossed the bag aside then took off towards a staircase at the end of the hallway.
"Ooman!!!" Fugi shouted.
But she didn't hear him as she began running up the staircase. Skipping 2 steps at a time as she sprinted, she ran up 3 or 4 flights of stairs before exiting into another area of the hospital. There was a sign saying 'Maternity ward', Sky gasped as she read the sign. Another scream sounded from a nearby room, the young girl whipped her head to where the scream came from. Sky took off running towards the room where the screams originated. She entered the room, her brown eyes widening at what she saw before her.
The Predalien was laying atop a very pregnant woman in her bed, several large eggs being forced down her throat. Strange nesting material wrapped around the woman and her hospital bed. There was another woman in the bed next to her poor friend who was strapped down and couldn't do anything to stop it. The hybrid was purring as it seemed to be enjoying what it was doing, it's large bony tail wagging.
Sky silently gagged as she shook her head rapidly to snap herself out of it, reaching for the gun upon her armored belt.
"Hey Ugly!!" She shouted.
The Predalien perked, lifting it's head from the woman to face the young girl. He hissed as she had interrupted his procedure, Sky pointed her gun at its head.
