That was when the gunfire started, Fugi quickly grabbed me and ran towards one of the military vehicles. The man at that vehicle was about to shoot Fugi when he was sniped by who I can assume was Nebraska, he pulled me down behind the car as cover. My heartbeat began to increase as did breathing, anxiety was starting to become quite overwhelming. I could only hear the sounds of gunfire and men yelling in pain as they were shot, I was shaking like a leave with how terrified I was.

"Ooman!" Fugi shook me.

I looked at him, the Predator could clearly see the the terror in my eyes.

"What's wrong?" He asks.

"I-I don't know! I'm just panicking!" I cried out over the gunfire.

Fugi then did the unexpected, he wrapped his arms around me in a hug. Is...is this really happening? Being hugged by a PREDATOR? Who could easily kill me anytime, but instead chooses to hug me. I don't know why, but it was actually quite effective. I leaned into Fugi as he was a gentle giant, comfort and a feeling of safeness cane over me. My breathing slowed, my heartbeat began returning to normal.

"Do not be scared, I am here to protect you. Now we must move." Fugi said as he let go of me.

I was feeling better, but not completely calm as adrenaline rushed through me. Fugi looked for the next vehicle or rock to duck behind, he helped me up and pointed to a van close by. I nodded and ran towards it with him close behind, firing a rifle that the man from before had dropped. Even though he preferred melee like me, he was a damn good shot as he nailed 2 men in the heads. We managed to duck behind the van, then the gunfire went silent. When there was a deep rumbly growl that didn't come from Fugi, I finally understood why I was feeling so panicked.

"He's here..." I whispered.

A car near us was then crushed as the cloaked Mega Predator had landed on it, grabbing a soldier right by him and slamming him into an electric fence. The soldier screamed out as he was electrocuted, the military men began firing upon Assassin. The alien uncloaked and turned to face the men firing upon him, and he was DEFINITELY pissed off. A jeep with 3 soldiers was barreling towards him, the Mega Predator easily leapt over another vehicle to take cover from their barrage.

Assassin fired a spear with rope from his wrist gauntlet and it went through the man almost like a knife goes through cake, the spear smothered with blood. I wanted to gag, but that wasn't even the worst part. The Mega Predator pulled on the rope tightly and the men in the jeep were decapitated, their heads hitting the ground. I gagged as Fugi pulled me back from the sight, struggling to keep the vomit down as an explosion sounded.

Then all I heard was "Cease fire!" then a silence, we could hear Assassin walking in our direction along with him growling and clicking. I didn't dare look around the corner of our vehicle, and fortunately neither did the Mega Predator. He walked right past the vehicle without a second glance, I worked up the courage to look to see where he was headed.

He was going towards...the ship? That's strange. Maybe he doesn't know that the guys, Casey, Fugi and I aren't here. If he doesn't, we can bail now.

"Hey Mckenna! You can walk out of this alive! I just want the ship!" Jerry yelled.

Fugi shook his head as he didn't believe him, and neither did I. Jerry is full of shit! The government always is. Just then, I heard beeps and gibberish coming from the large monitor near the ship. Then an irritating sound wailed from it, making every one of us cover our ears and yell out in pain.

"Its using the translator." I heard Jerry say.

After a few more words of alien gibberish, a deep husky voice cane from the monitor.

"Hello. I have enjoyed watching you kill each other. I came here to destroy this vessel, you can not have it. What you can do, is RUN. I detect 2 among you who are true warriors." The Mega Predator said.

Wait...2? I thought he only was after me for my empath DNA? I look to Fugi with a concerned feeling.

"One known as Ma-Kenna. He will be your leader, he will be my prize." There was then a pause in English words as more gibberish spilled out.

"The other, the young female. Spirited and determined. I know you are out there, dear ooman. You will soon be my Loute'Kale...I offer Time Advantage. GO." The Mega Predator ended.

A low growl came from Fugi and I could see pure anger in his green eyes. What the fuck is a...uh, whatever he just said. Whatever it is, it pissed Fugi off. We stood up and headed towards the others, I looked back towards the monitor have a countdown clock. We have 7 and a half minutes, until the hunt begins.

"Fugi, what the hell did he just call me? A lo...loo tea..." I struggled to say it.

"A Loute'Kale." There was anger in his translators tone.

"What does that mean? Is that like a sacrifice or something??" I was scared.

He shook his head with a growl.

"Wait, why would that thing be after you? No offense, just genuinely curious." Matt said.

"I'm psychic." I said blatantly.

Everyone was silent as they paused from packing up their gear, all staring at me. Even Jerry's men stared. But some of them began to snicker, and to be honest I don't blame them.

"You're kidding me, right? You're saying you can read minds and shit?" Nebraska asked.

"No I can't read minds, but damn that would be a handy trait. I'm someone who can easily read people and feel their emotions, it's called being an Empath. There's more to being psychic than reading minds, and I know for a fact that you're all horrified of what's gonna happen once that countdown hits zero." I pointed to the clock which was now at 7 minutes.

"Why didn't you tell us that you were psychic?" Casey asked.

"You never asked, and I didnt think it was an important detail to bring up. Now if you'd like to actually use the time to get away from here, we should be running." I began headed back up the slope we had come down.

Fugi put his mask back on and followed as he kept pace with me.

The humans travelled into the forest as the countdown had dwindled down to 2 minutes. Fugi stuck to Sky's side like adhesive as they walked besides Matt who was carrying his son like a piggyback ride. There was a look of worry upon her face, worry of what would happen when the countdown hit zero. But her Predator took notice of this and gently held her hand, almost like a father would hold his daughters hand as a mean of protection. The little boy looked to her curiously.

"Sky, what's it like to be an empath?" He asks.

She looked at the boy, "As of right now, I think it to be bittersweet because I don't know what to do with it just yet. Just recently discovered I was for my whole life but didn't know it was because I was psychic, I honestly thought I was bipolar."

"What do you mean? Like what happens?" He asks.

"I feel the world around me. For example, if some huge tragic event happens in the world, I just know the SECOND it happened. Like my mood will be 'Happy day!' one minute and the next would be 'Today sucks' almost immediately. And later in the day, I'd see breaking news telling what happened, and at they'd ALWAYS say same time when I suddenly felt bad. I'm not too good with these descriptions." She chuckled.

The humans eyes widen as she suddenly stops, this catching EVERYONE'S attention. Fugi looked down at her curiously, his mandibles wiggling a bit. Matt and Rory stared at her confused as she then held up her hand, then began to count down each finger by mouthing the numbers.

5, 4, 3, 2, 1. She then points back the way they came, and not a moment too soon there was an explosion. Everyone stood in shock as she knew when the explosion was bound to happen, if they didn't believe her then they sure did now.

"We need to MOVE, he's coming." Sky said as she began to jog into the forest, letting go of Fugi's scaled hand.

The others then knew that it was their best bet to run as well, for the hunter had begun his search for 2 humans.
