Chapter 7 - Michael🌙
It has been several days since me almost kissing Misha in my bedroom. I had ordered Josef to scout the area that Misha was found as well as the area that she woke up on. If I heard correctly from the guards that found her at the edge of town, Misha woke up a mile away from Alpha Rayne's border. Alpha Rayne was a quiet and discrete Alpha. Her territory was several hundred miles away from our territory though. That must mean that Misha had been running for a long time for her to reach our border.
Josef walked into the room. I chose him because when he passed the challenge and had to challenge me. He did it with all he could. Of course, he didn't win the fight but he was a damn good fighter. I sense the respect and loyalty from him. His dossier reflected his accomplishments within the pack, status, and past.
Josef was a few years older than me but the man was almost as tall as me. Years of laboring and training outside, our skin wasn't pale or soft, quite the opposite. Dark and scarred. Josef was laid back and detail oriented at his position which are good traits of a beta.
I was in the middle of finishing up the papers I was signing giving pack members privilege to travel outside our territory when my door swung open. Josef walked in and sat down. I sat my work down knowing that he came with a report of what I asked him to look for.
"What did you find out?" I asked.
"It is very hard to trace activity that has happened a year ago. Scents, signs of struggle, and blood are all gone." Josef sighed as he leaned forward to prop his arms on the desk.
I knew that already. I just wanted to see if there was any weird activity going on around that land. I decided not to say anything and let Josef continue his report.
"The land is guarded and protected by the human government. Whatever it was that chased her stopped the minute she crossed over. According to her story, we traced her back to a small stream on the land. Our trackers did some sniffing around and found this-"He pulled out a heart shaped silver necklace.
I took it from him and unlocked the heart to see two couples. The woman looked very much like Misha. So, she was there.
"Anything else?" I asked, slipping the necklace into my desk drawer.
"The guards that found her said that her clothes were dirty and torn. When we arrived at the stream and found the necklace we continued further into the territory. We found a piece of rag that was very close to the border of Alpha Rayne." Josef answered without hesitation.
"It could be anybody's." I stated.
"That's what we first thought until we saw blood stains on there. The shirt is too old but the scent of the blood stuck onto the rag. We were able to identified that it was Laurel's blood on the rag." Josef added which sparked my interest. She was close to Alpha Rayne's land and if she was why didn't she cross over and seek sanctuary? Why did she venture further into the human territory?
"Did you mask your scents before returning?" I asked.
He nodded. "No one will know we were there."
Humans won't be able to smell us but we had to make sure that the person that had hurt Misha wasn't still looking for her. If they caught our scent, they might head our way. It was a fight I will not be prepared for. I needed to know further who this person was.
"Ok, keep your eyes open. Any trespassers seeking entrance to our territory will past through me first before letting them enter." I ordered. "Make it known that we are not accepting any new members or visitors until I figure out what the hell happened to Laurel."
Josef nodded but didn't move. He was curious about my inquiry and blind search. I sighed and rubbed my temple.
"Laurel isn't Laurel."
Josef looked confused, "What do you mean?"
"I knew her from the pack I was staying with before coming back home. Her real name is Misha. She is not an omega. She is much more. The woman that I have tailing me everywhere I go is a healer. She is very valuable." I told him the truth.
A look of understanding passed Josef's face. "You ordered her to tail you so that you can protect her."
"And tease her."
"But isn't it better to tell her directly who she was?" Josef asked.
"No. It will only put her in more danger. As long as she doesn't know who she is, she won't be running anywhere. This is her home as far as she knows." I answered. "You are not to tell her who she is. This secret stays with you, my father, and I."
"But-"
"If the news of her healing skills escapes our territory and travels to many other ears we might not be able to see what will be thrown our way. We need to find out more before we reveal anything." I interrupted him. "I need you to promise me, Josef. I need to know that you understand the importance of hiding her identity from her and everyone else."
Josef nodded. "Understood."
I nodded before dismissing him. I finished the rest of my paperwork and finances before stepping out of my office. After my conversation with Josef I wanted to find Misha. I don't know why but the feeling of urgency to see her increased after the conversation. I just needed to see her.
I found her in my bedroom folding some clean bedsheets and towels. She looked up when she heard me entered. Today she was dressed casually in dark blue skinny jeans and a black punk t-shirt.
"Hey, I am just about finish here and I'll take my leave." She said casually as she fold the last piece of towel.
She grabbed the stack of nicely folded towels and walked towards my bathroom. I decided to follow her in. Opening the white cabinet in the bathroom she placed the towels in nicely. She turned and bumped into my chest. I steady her again by wrapping my arms around her waist.
"Ohh! Thank you. I don't know why I am such a klutz." She muttered, a faint blush touching her cheeks. She bit her lips nervously.
Those lips again.
"Laurel..." My voice was deeper but her nearness always seems to have an effect on me.
"Y-yes?" She looked very nervous. Her eyes as innocent as ever. I wished silently she would remember the kiss she gave me before she disappeared.
Slowly tightening one arm around her waist to stop her from escaping. I moved my other hand up her side to her arm before cradling one side of her cheek. My thumb brushing against the plump cherry lips. Her lips quivered and a shudder ran down her body. She looked so tiny in my arms. If I squeezed hard enough I might just be able to crush her.
Misha wasn't a very curvy woman. She had curves but she was more skinny than curvy. I can visualize just how her breasts looked like. They were soft, heavy mounds that had soft pink little beads sitting right in the middle.
My thumb brushed her lip again, "Can I kiss you?"
"What?" She looked surprise.
I smirked, "I want to kiss you, Laurel. I have been wanting to for the past couple of days."
I was surprised even at my bluntness. Usually I am more kept and tight lip around people but around her it was like my walls were falling apart.
When she didn't answer me but her eyes fluttered close I knew what her answer was. My lips found hers immediately. Taking in her lower lips it was so soft and plump—so sweet. Her lips tasted just like it looked. Cherry.
Thirsting for more, I licked the seam of her lips begging for entrance. When she obediently opened her lips, I greedily dove in and explored the warm cave of her mouth. If the lips were sweet then this was sweeter. I heard her softly moan before her hands wrapped around to my back.
I sucked on her tongue before intertwining mine with hers. She gave another throaty moan. It was then I felt her hands snaking down before slipping underneath my shirt where her hands continued to roam my naked back.
Fvck.
Those hands.
She roamed up my back and then allowed her fingernails to softly drag down my back, eliciting a groan out of me.
I know I needed to stop. The growing member between my legs was a clear indication that if I don't I will lose control but goddess she tasted so good. Just like how I remembered.
With a great amount of pure will, I shifted my lips from hers and placed soft kisses down her jawline to her neck. I can feel how fast her heart was beating against my chest. Her breathing was ragged and uneven. She was as affected and if anything, I can smell her arousal. It was strong and enticing.
I needed to stop now.
I pushed her away from me. She looked startled from my sudden change in attitude. Her lips were swollen from my kisses. The skin on her jawline had faint stubble marks from me and what had me almost running out of the room was the dark swirl in her blue eyes. She looked at me like I was a meal she would very much like to devour. It was sensual and such a feline sexuality that it had my possessive and dominating wolf growling with unreserved desire.
"T-that was uh..."Her breathless voice trailed off.
"So damn good." I finished for her.
Her lip curved. "We shouldn't do this again."
"We should do this again." I responded.
She gave a shaky laugh, "You don't understand. You are my boss."
"And?" I didn't see the problem.
"And this shouldn't happen again." She snapped.
"Oh it will happen again, Laurel. You can count on that. As long as you are under me, I will kiss you whenever I want." I demanded. I craved it and she wasn't going to stop me now that I gotten a good taste.
A/N:
Hello!
I was able to squeeze another chapter in! Yay me! I'm proud of myself for slacking on my other responsibilities. Lol
Anyhow back to the chapter-
Do you think that Michael made the right decision not to tell Misha yet?
I am thinking about making this book more mature than any other werewolf books I have done. Say YES if you would prefer more intimate r-rated scenes!
I think he had good reasons not to tell her. I understand too that she also has the right to her past. Decisions. Decisions. Let's see what will happen next!
