Chapter 10 - Misha🌙
I felt a sense of relief wash over me as I exited the mansion with Sebastian and Lucia. There wasn't much to do in a small town like this. Most of the shops here aren't high end brand name stores. Their clothes were beautiful but didn't cost an arm and leg to buy. It would be the most obvious thing to go out and shop until my feet hurt but I wanted to do something different today.
I wanted to go to the roller skating rink. A lot of people uses that place to hang out. We entered Sebastian's old beat up car, we drove off in the direction of the town.
"Why are we doing this again?" Lucia asked, she was another omega within the pack although I don't see her very often. She worked mostly outside in the garden.
"Because we are fun people." I replied.
Sebastian scoffed, "This is not fun. We could stay home and relax. Eat a bucket of ice cream."
"Ice cream sounds nice right about now." Lucia chirped in.
"No." I said firmly and twisted around in the passenger seat to eye the two with a stern look. "I want to go to the skating rink and that is what we are going to do."
"But there will be ton of people there," Lucia mumbled.
"The greater the better. I want to immerse into the crowd and play, 'Where's Waldo?'." I slapped my thigh to confirm just how much I meant it.
Sebastian chuckled, "Where's Waldo...good one."
"What's with you today?" Lucia questioned. "You seem a little angry."
My mind flashed to what happened earlier this morning. I couldn't stop the horrified blush that keeps creeping onto my cheeks. I pursed my lips and turned away from my friends. No one needed to see that I was blushing out of my mind.
"I'm not." I argued.
"You're holding something back." Sebastian glanced sideways at me as he pulled into town.
Today was a very pretty day—sunny with a soft cool breeze. The clouds were like little soft cotton balls in the skies. The leaves were still clinging onto the trees with their ginger, golden, and crimson colors. I can't let what happened this morning affect my mood today. Today was a good day.
However, I can't deny the fact that I couldn't help but think about how close we were. I slept in Michael's bed. He carried me to bed. I wondered if I snored or drooled at all on his pillow. Oh god, the horror! I made a mental note to change his pillow covers as soon as I get home.
"Laurel?" Lucia waved her hand in front of me.
I blinked and saw that we were already here. I jumped out of the small beat up car and almost skipped my way towards the entrance when Sebastian's firm grip on my elbow stopped me.
My eyes followed where his hand is wrapped around my elbow, up his arm to his face. "What?"
"You didn't answer me. Did something happened?" He narrowed his dark brown eyes at me in concern.
"Nothing's wrong. I just want to have some fun." I lied easily with a shrug.
He didn't look that convinced but Lucia pulled me away before he could dig any further.
We walked inside the old fashion skating rink. Lights were dimly lit with all kinds of neon colored lights. Many people were already there hanging out. Some were sitting around the tables eating pizza, burgers, and fries. Others were drinking by the bar. The hangout was strictly for adults only. The teens liked to hang out at the skaters park a few miles south from here.
We walked over to pay for our roller blades before walking to sit on a bench. I slipped my shoes off and was about to put my roller blades on when Sebastian crouched down before me. He took my roller blades from me and proceeded to slip it on my feet.
"You have the tiniest little feet." He commented.
I pursed my lips, "I'll advise you to be nicer or my roller blades will land on your manly parts so quickly you won't see it coming."
He smirked as he looked up at me. I knew Sebastian liked me. Honestly, I have done nothing to encourage him on. I treated him like a friend but he seemed persistent in making something more than it was.
"Ok, spare my parts. No more teasing." He said compliantly.
I took my other roller blade and slipped it on before he could do it. He moved to sit down next to me and slip his on. Lucia quickly got her on before taking hold of my hands.
"We will see you in the rink, Seb." She shouted before dragging me inside the rink where everyone was roller blading.
We were in the rink for a long time. Roller blading and chasing each other. There will be times that Lucia will crash into me and I'll crash into Sebastian. I knew by the time we finish, I'll be bruised all over.
It was an hour later that we found an open round table where we sat down for a break. Sebastian had skated off to order us some pizzas and fries. I rubbed my aching arms and with a frown turned to Lucia.
"You guys were savages in the rink."
"We like to play rough." Lucia gave a innocent smile before shrugging.
"And I ended up being your punching bag." I grumbled dissatisfied with being stuck in the middle most of the time.
"Hey, it wasn't all me. Sebastian was all over you. The man gave you so many hints, do you not see it at all?" Lucia asked.
"I do but I don't feel the same way." I glanced over at Sebastian who waved at us from the ordering counter.
"He is so into you and he's absolutely hot for an omega." Lucia wiggled his eyebrows.
"Yeah, well I don't feel like we should be anything more than friends. I don't have feelings for him and I am definitely not going to encourage it." I said.
"I guess you are right but you are hopeless. Tell me, Laurel, what kind of man do you like? Are you even attracted to men?" She gasped. "Or are you attracted to me?"
I rolled my eyes but my mind did answer her question. Michael popped up the second she asked what kind of men I liked. I don't have a preference. If I liked hot men then what she said about Sebastian was true. I would have liked him too. However, I don't. I like Michael.
Oh god. I am hopeless.
"Isn't that the Alpha?" Lucia's voice pierced through my thoughts. I glanced at her before following the direction of her eyes to find Michael sitting at the bar drinking.
He looked good dressed in casual khakis and in a plain v-neck. His hair looked almost like he didn't care to touch up on and it was a mess on top of his head but it was so natural. I was a little slow to notice that he was staring right at me.
I glanced down at my hands on the table, "Yep, that's him."
Lucia hummed thoughtfully, "He never comes out to this neck of the woods. I wondered if there was something special about today..."
Did he follow me? Immediately I shook my head no. Of course not. I wasn't that important. He must have some kind of important business here at the skating rink. After that last thought, I knew how foolish that sounded. He was not here for business but then why was he here?
Sebastian appeared in front of us and placed a large sausage pizza on the table along with a plate of fries. Lucia immediately grabbed a slice of pizza. A staff walked over with some soda. I forgot about Michael sitting at the bar when the smell of food wafted into my nose.
"I'm hungry!" I grinned before diving in for a slice of pizza.
For the next thirty minutes or so, we continued bickering and eating our food until we were done. I glanced out the small window by the checkout counter and saw that it had already gotten dark. I can't believe were have been all day. Time really flew when you were having fun.
I glanced back at the table and saw Michael still sitting there and drinking. Lucia and Sebastian got up to go for another round in the rink. I decided to walk up to Michael to see what he was up to.
"Hey." I signaled my presence.
He looked up and his eyes were glazed over. I knew he was drunk and if not drunk, he was buzzing.
"Well, Laurel decides to come over." He sounded a little bitter.
"You're drunk." I pointed.
He laughed, "Slow minded. Of course, I am drunk."
"Is anybody else here with you?" I asked.
He glanced to his left than to his right and then looked up at me, "Nopppe."
I rolled my eyes and moved to pull his arms over my shoulders. Good thing I had taken off my roller blades and returned them already or else we will be both falling on our butts. Michael was heavy.
"You smell nice, Misha. Pizza my favorite food. I wonder if it your lips will taste like pizza." His eyes homed in on my lips and his eyebrows furrowed as he contemplated that thought.
"Who the hell is Misha?" I asked out loud.
He shushed me with a finger to his lips. "Secret."
I rolled my eyes. The man doesn't know what he was talking about. I waved at Lucia and pointed to Michael. She nodded after understanding before I left with Michael. I took him to his car and asked for his keys while he leaned against the passenger door.
"In my pocket." He stated.
"Can you give them to me?" I asked.
"Fish for it, darling." He wiggled his eyebrows.
"Michael!" I scolded.
He rolled his eyes before fishing into his pocket and pulling out his key. I unlocked his car before guiding his big body inside. I guess he wasn't all that drunk because if he was I knew I wouldn't be able to carry such a towering man. His weight will crush me. If he can still walk, he must still be somewhat lucid.
I buckled him in before walking to the driver side. I pulled the car out of the parking lot before driving down the road towards the mansion. Michael was fast asleep next to me. I shook my head because even though he looked like an idiot while drunk he was still so adorable.
I gave a short laugh at that thought. Michael was anything but adorable though. He was dark and visceral not adorable. I glanced at him one last time. I had to admit though, this one time he does look adorable.
When we arrived home, I parked the car in the front before going to his side and unbuckling him. I gently shook him awake. He looked around a little confused before I told him where we were.
He nodded before getting out of the car along with me. He looked a little better than back at the rink. The stuff he was drinking at the bar must be wearing down now. Still, I kept an arm around his waist while he had one slung over my shoulder just to make sure he doesn't fall flat on his face.
We finally made our way upstairs to his bedroom. I helped him over to his bed where I adjusted him comfortably. I turned to leave but he grabbed a hold of my hand and yanked me into his bed. My eyes widened in surprise.
"Michael!" I whisper shouted, hoping not to wake anybody up.
"Nobody is going to hear you, Laurel." He was so close to me. I can smell what he had been drinking. I can also see the light hazel eyes that was once glazed over slowly clearing up. I can see he was becoming more lucid.
"What are you doing?" I asked almost in a panic as he shifted to cover my body with his.
He didn't answer me. Instead, his head dipped and his lips brushed against my lips like a brush of a feather. My eyes fluttered close at the soft sensation. His lips continued their exploration down my cheeks to my jaw line causing me to shudder with desire underneath him. I was becoming aroused. His presence and nearness was so dominating and powerful. It made me feel desired.
His lips found their way back to my lips where he gently pulled my lower lips in to get a small taste of me. I was shameless enough to kiss him back. I could taste the drink still on his lips. Something inside of my spurred to life. I wanted more.
"Laurel..." He whispered my name huskily.
I knew what he wanted to ask. My heart was galloping so fast in my chest. I can feel it pounding against my ribs. Between my legs I was already soaking wet, begging for release. Quite honestly, I don't know if what I decided next was a good thing or a bad thing.
