Welcome! my readers, to a story about a girl named Lara Delcai.  Yeah, her mom mated with a raven. this caused some magical problems...

I never believed that I could ever end up the way I did. I only ever expected it to be the way it is, after I knew it was going to happen. You don't need to know these things, but I thought they were  important to my story, so I told them anyways. 
"Lara, what are you doing?" Asked Jade, interrupting my thoughts.
"Thinking." I say.
"That's all you ever do. Why don't you just talk to me for once?"
"Because I don't like talking about your crush maybe?" I say.
"Rude."
"It's true though, and you know it."
"Sometimes I hate you." She pushes me over a bit while laughing.
"Love yo-" I started
"Don't go there." Lauren said.
"Thanks."
"No pro-" 
"You're not getting away with it this time." I said as I interrupted Lauren.
My friends and I always do the same thing, because of Lauren. She is homophobic as she was raised that way, but it gets to be more boring every day. I don't care because she is still a good friend though.

"Mom! I'm home!" I yell.
"Darling!" 
"Don't call me that, please" 
"Why not?" She asks. I look up at her face, and she looks genuinely heartbroken.
"I'm not three anymore." 
"Oh." She frowns and turns to walk away.
"But you don't have to worry. I still love you mom." I smile.
"Love you too."
