I saw Heaven stumble, and I walked over to Ivory. "Why are you so mean? Who hurt you?"

People began shouting at her. She stormed off, and I turned to Heaven. Her first day back, and people were already giving her a difficult time.

"Are you okay?"

She nodded. "Sometimes, no matter what you do, people will hurt you. In all seriousness, thanks for coming after me. You're the only true friend I have."

"Yeah, just a friend."

I spun around and glared at Anna.

"Come on. Just tell her," Jeni said, appearing beside her girlfriend

I turned back to Heaven, who had turned red.

"What do you mean?"

I let out a breath. "Um, I kind of-"

"I like you, too," she blurted.
