I sat by the fire I had made. Tears streamed down my face. I didn't know how long I could stay there, but I couldn't go back. I couldn't go back to a sister who hated me, an ex friend who bullied me, and a whole school where no one cared. I couldn't die; I just wanted to disappear for a while.

The door burst open. I jumped up, and I was suddenly hugged by three people at once. I couldn't help but pull away. The only person I was glad to see was Noah; someone I pushed away. Someone I didn't want to burden. Someone who didn't understand.

Ivory stood there in her designer clothes. She looked me up and down, taking in my old, baggy clothes with disdain. It didn't matter if she was there; she had still bullied me. She was still rude. She was someone I would never forgive. She had made my life hell.

Ever hugged herself, her eyes tearing up. She was probably thinking of the car I had taken, which I abandoned to get people off my trail.

Noah was the only person who really looked at me. I let him hug me tight. He was the only friend I had in the world, and I was stupid enough to overlook that.

"I'm not going to say everything is okay," Noah said as we broke apart. "I'm just going to say I should've been there for you."

I shook my head. "I should've let you."

Ivory cleared her throat. "Um, hello?"

I shot her a glare. "What do you want? Recognition for doing the right thing at the end? When you only did it for your conscience? Both of you?"

Ever glared at me from under her feathered bangs. "You don't know what you put us through. We thought you had died! We thought you had killed yourself!"

I laughed. "Why didn't you care before I ran away?"

Ever let out a breath. "I'm sorry for not being a better sister."

"If you mean it, prove it with your actions."

Ivory opened her mouth, but I held up a hand.

"You don't get a second chance. You're a bully. You tried to ruin my life, so why bother trying to save it?"
