"ARE YOU ready, Jae?" Jaehyun hears the voice of his older brother approaching. When he turns around, he sees him wearing his casual white polo shirt, as oppose to his formal black suit over coat. "Are you going to a charity or a meeting?" his older brother teases, smiling.

"Johnny, don't start," he answers, looking at himself in the mirror. He doesn't want to wear a formal suit for the event, but their secretary insists that he wears it so he does.

"Alright. I'm sorry. But why can't you just loosen up? You don't have to follow everything." Johnny taps his brother's back.

He turns to look at his brother. "But press people are coming. We have to look presentable."

Johnny lets out a sigh. "That's exactly why I don't wanna be the next in throne."

"I wish I can be like you," he admits.

"You know you always have a choice, Jae."

He nods. "But I don't wanna disappoint the King and Queen."

"You mean like what I'm doing now?"

He shakes his head. "It's not that, Johnny."

"Jaehyun! Johnny!" A younger guy in suit runs towards them.

"Jeno!" Johnny exclaims at their youngest brother. "What's the fuss?"

"They're coming!" Jeno announces, still panting.

The three stand up in line, as the door cracks open, revealing the King and Queen. They bow their heads in respect, as they approach them.

"Future Kings, I expect you to be in your best behaviour during the event. We won't be there to watch you. I want you to do what you're supposed to do without failing."

"Yes, father," the three answers in sync.

"My children, take good care of yourselves." The Queen kisses each of them on the cheek, before they leave.

THEY ARRIVE at the orphanage an hour later. True enough, there are already a lot of media people surrounding the area. But the royal guards block them to make way for the Princes. Johnny leads his brothers, as they enter inside the orphanage. Their royal butler, Antoine briefs them while walking until they reach a room where the children are waiting for them.

"Good morning, Prince Johnny, Prince Jaehyun and Prince Jeno!" The children chorus, as they bow their heads at them.

The Princes smile upon seeing the kids. "Good morning! Are you ready to have fun today?" Johnny asks in his usual cheerful tone.

The kids nod and jump up and down. "Do you want to see animals?" Jaehyun asks next. They all cheer in excitement.

"Do you want to eat lots of food?" Jeno asks this time, smiling at them.

"Yes!"

"Well then, let's go!"

It's Jaehyun's idea to let the kids go to the zoo instead of just throwing a party inside the orphanage. He thinks it'll be good for them to go out and enjoy, since they've been confined inside for a long time. He is known for his love for kids together with his two brothers, that's why they volunteered to organize the event themselves.

What he loves the most about his royal duties is the fact that he can be of help to people. He wants to give back after all the support and love their family has been receiving over the years.

Compassion. That's one thing he got from his mother who was a commoner, before she married his father – the King. He always keeps in mind his mother's stories from when she was just an ordinary girl, longing to live a life without thinking where to get a decent job to feed herself and her family. His mother has always been an inspiration to him and the people of New Humpshire.

They finally reach the zoo few minutes later. A marching band greets them infront of the park and a group of volunteers helps them manage the 50 kids from the orphanage. Each kid receives a balloon from the volunteers, as they run inside the park. The Princes walk behind the kids, watching them enjoy the animals they're seeing.

"Prince Jaehyun!" A little boy suddenly approaches him, weeping.

"What's the matter, young lad?" Jaehyun asks, patting his head. "Why are you crying?"

The boy points at somewhere, confusing the Prince. "My balloon... is gone."

"Don't cry now. I'll just buy you another one."

The boy shakes his head and keeps on pointing far away.

He nods, realizing that the boy wants his old balloon. "Alright then. Let's find that balloon of yours."

Just then, Johnny stops him. "We'll just ask someone to get that, Jae."

But, he shakes his head. "I will do it." He carries the boy in his arms and heads to the direction where the boy is pointing. When they turn to a corner, he finally sees the balloon stuck on a tree near the cage of the monkeys. "Is that your balloon?" he asks to which the boy nods.

He lets the boy down and tries to reach for the string of the balloon. His height is tall enough for him to just jump and grab the balloon. And when he does, his hand hit the trunk of the tree, causing him to wince in pain, as if something just bit him. "Aahh!"

At that moment, someone comes running towards them. "Ryan! You're here. You got me worried, little one!" The girl hugs the boy. And then, she realizes that the boy is with the Prince himself. She quickly bows and curtsies at him. "S-sorry, your Royal Highness."

"It's alright." The Prince forces a smile, but grimaces in pain again.

"Y-your Highness... are you alright?" she asks him, when she notices that he's squeezing his arm.

"I just... I was just reaching for the balloon," he answers, pointing at the balloon.

She looks up and sees the balloon stuck on the tree. She tries to jump and reach for the balloon. After how many tries, she finally gets it and hands it to the boy. "Here you go, Ryan." But the boy shakes his head and points at the Prince.

Confused, she turns to the Prince again and stares at his arm. "Your Highness... are you hurt?"

"It's... nothing serious," he answers, forcing a smile showing his dimple.

Just then, she brings out a handkerchief and wraps his arm with it. The Prince watches her, studying her brown orbs and thin lips formed into an endearing smile. Despite the pain he's feeling, he can't help but feel anxious inside him.

"I'll call for help, your Highness. Just wait a bit," she says, as soon as she finishes wrapping his arm.

Few minutes later, the girl comes back with Johnny, Jeno and a few guards. "Jae, what happened to you?" The oldest asks him.

"I think something bit me. But I'm alright," he answers.

"What?" Johnny exclaims. "Where?" He turns to the zookeeper. "Can you please check if it's still there?" Then, he turns back to Jaehyun. "We'll take you to the hospital."

The two brothers help Jaehyun and assist him to walk. But before they walk further away, he turns around and glances at the girl. She smiles at him and bows her head slightly. When he gets inside the car, he suddenly remembers something. "I didn't get to thank her."

"Who?" Johnny asks.

Jaehyun looks at his arm with the blue handkerchief wrapped around it. "That lady."

A/N: I was supposed to update earlier but I had to postpone it because of All Saints and Souls Day... I'm sad that SMTOWN Halloween got cancelled because of the political issue in Korea right now. Do you guys know about it? I think it's a shame that this happened. I mean, I didn't think there'd be such an issue in Korea.
