I Know A Guy

Charles stared at Logan with an intensity Jax had never before seen on his face.

"Grand," Jax clapped her hands together. "Let's get started, shall we?"

"The room they're holding him in was made during the second world war when there was a shortage of steel so the foundation is pure concrete and sand. No metal."

"He's being held a hundred floors beneath the most heavily guarded building on the planet." Charles leant over the map on the table.

"What? He forgot to mention?" Charles chuckled.

"JFK." Hank said when Logan sent up looks.

"What? He killed...?"

"What else explains a bullet miraculously curving through the air? Erik's always had a way with guns..." Charles looked up. "You're sure you want to carry on with this?" he asked Logan.

"Hey, this is your plan, not mine."

"We don't have any resources to get us in." Hank pointed out.

"Or out. It's just us." Charles agreed.

"I know a guy. He'd be a young man, now. He grew up outside of D.C. He can get into anywhere." Logan chuckled. "I just don't know how in the hell we're going to find him."

Hank and Jax exchanged glances and silently agreed that is was her turn to ask the question to which the answer was always no. "Charles," Jax looked at Charles who back away slightly like a caged animal. The pointed ears on Jax's head laid back in nervousness and slight fear. "Is Cerebro out of the question?" Charles put his hands on the table to support himself and stretched.

"We have a phone book." Hank shrugged. Logan just sighed and followed Hank, leaving Charles and Jax alone.

"I'm sorry, Charles."

"No, its alright, darling..." he shook his head and cupped her cheeks. "Its alright." he pulled her toward him and kissed her left temple, she looked up at him. "Thank you for this."

"For what?"

"This." he answered. "This needs to be done."

"We found him." Hank poked his head around the corner. "Leaving in ten minutes."

"Alright, let's get ready." Jax and Charles went to his room to get dressed and were the first two in the car, meaning Logan and Hank had the backseat. They drove for hours, laughing and acting like fools until they reached a house with the name 'Maximoff' on the mailbox.

"That's it." Logan pointed to it.

"Alright, here goes." Jax sighed, getting out of the car and popping up the seat so Logan and Hank could get out as well. Charles walked up the concrete stairs that lead to the front door of the house. He grabbed his girlfriend's hand and pulled her close to him as Logan knocked on the door.
