Once admitted into the hospital, Stevie was checked over by her doctor and the fetal monitor was hooked up around her belly.
It turns out that Stevie was dilated to six centimeters; she had been in labor all those hours throughout the trial.

After her water broke things started to speed up and the contractions became more painful and began to get closer together.
Barbara, Jeff, Mick and John made their way to the hospital.

Christine sat on one side of Stevie and Lindsey sat on the other. He held her hand, gave her gentle kisses and told her words of encouragement as she breathed through her contractions.

Three hours passed, she was now at eight centimeters.

A scream ripped through Stevie's throat as she had another contraction. She was beginning to tire now.
She laid on her side, one hand resting on her belly; her eyes closed as she breathe in and out, breathing through the contraction. Her other hand gripped tightly on the railing of her hospital bed.
Lindsey sat on the bed with Stevie rubbing her back, wishing he could take away her pain.

After a while, her breathing became even, her grip loosened from the bed railing; she was finally able to sleep. No one dared speak or make a sound. Christine and Lindsey didn't want to risk waking her up; she needed all the sleep she could get.
Christine quietly stood up and left the room to give everyone in the waiting room an update.

Stevie was able to get a few hours sleep, when she woke up her doctor examined Stevie once more.
She was finally at ten centimeters; it was time for her to push.
She asked Christine to be there with her.
Christine stood on one side of Stevie and Lindsey on the other holding Stevie's hand.

Stevie was pushing for twenty minutes now, she stopped as she let her head fall back into her pillow, trying to catch her breath. Lindsey gently squeezing her hand, telling her how great she was doing and how much he loved her.

"You're almost there Stevie, just a few more pushes and your baby girl will be here." The doctor said. He gave her a few short moments of rest before he told her to continue pushing.

After a few more minutes Stevie bared down one final time and pushed with all her might. Next thing, the room was filled with a baby's loud cry.

Stevie's tears came fast and ran down her cheeks. The doctor placed the baby on Stevie's chest; she wrapped her arms around her baby girl and placed kisses on her tiny head. Lindsey couldn't hold back his tears as he saw their daughter for the first time being comforted by her mother.
"Oh Stevie, she's so precious!" Christine said as she too had tears rolling down her face.
A nurse came to take the baby to have her checked out and cleaned up while Stevie had to deliver the afterbirth.

Soon after, Stevie was freshened up and given a clean hospital gown; she was moved to regular hospital room. Christine left to the waiting room to announce the arrival of baby Buckingham, while Lindsey stayed with Stevie the whole time.

Once settled a nurse brought back the baby and placed her into Stevie's arms who couldn't stop staring at her baby girl.
The nurse asked Stevie if she wanted to try to breastfeed. Stevie said yes.

The nurse walked her through it and soon baby Buckingham was nursing.
The nurse left the room to give the new parents some time alone while they bond with their baby.
"Now that I've seen her, I know what I want to name her." Stevie said never taking her eyes off her baby.
Lindsey smiled and asked. "So, what name have you chosen?"
"Lyric Rose Buckingham." She said.
"I love it Steph!" He said kissing her cheek then placing a gentle kiss on top of Lyric's head.
"And I love you Stephanie, so much."
Stevie finally looked up at him and smiled, "I love you so much too, with all my heart."
Lindsey stood up and placed a kiss on her lips.
