it was the time after dinner, chae and lisa were sitting around a round table doing nothing but scrolling through their phones. jisoo was doing laundry as she didn't got the time to do so during daytime.

jennie was continuously pressing keys on her keyboard, trying to complete her 'due' works tonight. but seems like her mind wasn't in the right state to let her do that.

she had been working hard since last month trying to complete this particular project but it seems like she ran out of ideas. her mentor ain't rough and understands her state so he tries not to force her on anything, but jennie knows that he is not happy by her performance.

everyone elses in her team had already completed their part of the project but couldn't proceed further because of her due-d work. a team can't proceed leaving a member behind.

she sighed and put away the laptop on the coffee table, closing her eyes. her neck was hurting. she just wanted to sleep peacefully, relaxing her whole body.

but she can't. she is holding back her team members.

she was stressed.

"jendukie?" jisoo called her drying her hands in her own pants. "mhmm?", "you should take rest."

"i will once i complete this. i promise i'll complete it tonight" jennie replied.

jisoo sighed and looked at the clock hanging at the wall which showed 20 past 11. she was worried about jennie. jennie was overworking herself which didn't got unnoticed by her. being the eldest, she did what any other elder should do. she walked over to jennie and snatched her laptop from her lap and saved all the work she has done till the moment and switched it off.

"eonnie!! why would you do that? it will just take a few hours" jennie whined with a frustrated pout on her face.

jisoo gave her a mischievous smile and skipped towards her room with jennie's laptop in her arms.

jennie jumped off the couch and followed her from behind, "yah!! wait!" she laughed out.

"only when it shows either in the morning on the clock--" jisoo shouted back but got cut-off by jennie shushing her.

"kids are sleeping", she said in a low tone. "and what makes you think they are sleeping?", jisoo questioned her with big eyes.

"uh, just 'cause..."

"follow me!", jisoo marched towards chaelisa"s room with her back straight with jennie following her from behind. on the way, jisoo secretly placed a smug expression on her face to finally distract jennie from her laptop and stuff.

"one..two..three!", on the count, jisoo jolt-opened the room's door and jumped inside with her hands making a gun. jennie too followed her from behind and squinted her eyes, as they were met with nothing but darkness. "eh?", she eh-ed.

'i thought u said something like they would be awake" jen spoked over jisoo's shoulder.

''uh..yeah, they mostly are awake till late night", she tuned towards the younger female and continued, "i swear on chicken that they they don't sleep till early morning. i'hv heard them talking and squealing"

"eonnie~ they are sleeping" the younger whined again. jisoo recognized that work has finally left her brain and sleep is taking over her. so, she closed the door amd dragged jennie towards her bedroom and pushed her over the bed and hovered over her.

jennie looked at jisoo with an amused face.

jisoo looked back and they both were still in this position.

"how long?" jen spoke finally breaking the ice in the air and also their position. jisoo fell on the bed flat next to jennie and burst into a laughter which was followed by jennie aswell.

"let's sleep now", the elder female spoke leaving jen's bed and proceeding toward hers'.

"no! let's cuddle" jennie cutely whined grabbing jisoo's arm.

jisoo smiled and jumped on her bed, engulfing jennie in her arms.

"they left"

lisa released a breath of relief and came out from under the blankets. and, also dragged rosé by her foot which was sticking out of the blanket.

"i told you they will find someday" rosé showed her worry through the words. she had already put her views in front of lisa several times telling her how it is wrong to stay up late at light and binge watch dramas but lisa is a drama-addict so it got shrugged off by lisa.

and, lisa saw it as an adventure.

she turned on her laptop and played the screen displaying the drama. soon, chae too got engaged in the drama that she didn't realised the time and they both again^ stayed up till early morning watching Fight For My Way.
