Chapter 20

It took a long time to organize the office, even though there were three of us. We first started by moving the furniture around to the way it would be more comfortable for me. We ended up keeping the desk in the same spot but swung it around so that it faced the door. I felt it would've been rude to keep my back towards the door when someone entered. Plus, it also would help when I get deep into my writing. We put the patted chair in behind it, then adjusted to make sure I could still get in and out easily. We placed a compy couch that the president found in the basement, on the opposite side of the room. We pushed it up against the wall, so it didn't fall back on anyone. I put the cabinets near the window in the far corner, accessible and out of the way. Once the furniture was all in their places, we started with putting things on the walls. The light-up peace sign went up over the door, making it so it can be a light if it had to. I brought some decorations from home and put them on shelves that hung on the wall. When everything was finished, we dusted everything and made final adjustments at the end. Then the three of us did lighter cleaning to get everything off the floor and out of the room. The office took us almost all day, seeing there was a lot to do and the office was a small one. But the three of us didn't mess around and got right down to business. When we were officially done, I sat on my chair to rest. I let both Sougo and Riku sit on the couch, getting some rest themselves.

I looked around the office in silence, then turned to the boys. "Good job. I appreciate all the help," I said, as the two sat up. "No problem. I felt bad that Kim was getting help and you had all that to do by yourself," Sougo said, as I waved it off. "Don't feel bad. I tend to do a lot by myself. I was prepared to do this by myself before you offered," I said as I turned to Riku and smiled. "Then I offered for Riku to help because he looked like he was left out of everything," I said, as Riku chuckled. "I would've figured something out. But I appreciate the offer," he said, breaking out of his silence. I nodded. "Your welcome," I said, as I looked out the window. I studied the blue sky and the yellow glow of the sun. I took a deep breath as I looked at the box in front of me. I bent over to find a box of notebooks and things for the desk. "Looks like I have more work to do," I said, more to myself than to the boys. Sougo turned to me. "Need some help?" he asked as I shook my head. "No, I got this. But feel free to stay if you want," I said, as Sougo nodded. "Thank you," he said, as Riku chuckled. I peeked up at him. "What you laughing at?" I asked as Riku calmed down enough to speak. "I'm sorry for not being social while organizing, but the way you and Sougo took off with it, was just hilarious," he said between laughter. I looked at him as I shook my head. "I'm one that once I start working, I won't stop until it's done. That's why I work so hard," I said, as I started to fill the draws. "Plus, I work a lot because I tend to get bored a lot," I said, as Sougo looked at me. "So what was all about the night you walked around town for about three hours?" I looked out the window as I thought.

"Sometimes it helps my mood just to get out. Plus seeing the town made me a little more at home" I said. Riku looked at Sougo then back to me. "Everyone thought you were running away. Made everyone worried," he said, as I looked at him. "I'm sorry about that again. I just felt bad," I said, as Riku shook his head. "Don't worry about it," he said with a smile. I cracked a smile as I continued to go back to work. I went through each drawer and filled them up, making them easy to access. I organized it by the type of supplies and what was used and what wasn't. The room fell silent as Sougo broke it. "Songwriter?" he asked. I looked up at him as I went back to work. "Yeah?" I asked. "Just out of curiosity, do you sing at all?" he asked as I stopped and leaned back in my chair. "By singing, you mean what you guys do or just in general?" I asked, confused by the question. Sougo leaned back on the couch, as both he and Riku studied me. "Just in general," he said, making the question more clear. I continued to organize as I thought. "Um. Just in general. I hum more than sing. But a song I really enjoy comes on and I'll sing a little bit," I explained. "Do you sing for others?" he asked as I looked at him. "Meaning by performing?" I asked as he shook his head. "No, just when you're around your family or hanging with Kim." I looked back down as I sighed. "Um. I don't really. I get nervous when I sing around people," I explained.

"Would you sing if I7 asked you?" he asked as I shrugged. "I dunno. I'm not really the preforming type," I explained. Riku chuckled. "You let Kim take the spotlight, don't you?" he asked as I nodded. "That's exactly what I do. I get put in the spotlight and it'll be watching a mannequin," I said, with a laugh. The two burst out in a big uproar of laughter. I chuckled as I shook my head, looking out the window. "When that happens, we might have to make sure she's still alive," he said, as I went back to organizing the box. "You might have to poke me," I said, as the boys continued to laugh. Riku shook his head. "Poking you won't work," he brought up as Sougo nudged him. "We could always get Tamaki to feed her pudding," he said as all three of us started to laugh again. "Dr.Tamaki, bring the pudding," I said, with the laugher breaking up my sentence.

We continued laughing then finally settled back down. Walking came up to the door as a knock entered the room. "Come in," I said, as the door opened and Iori entered the room. "What's all the laughing in here?" he asked as I shook my head. "Nothing, just joking around," I said, as I gestured him to come into the room. I turned to him as I got comfortable. "What's up?" I asked as Iori shook his head. "Nothing. I just wanted to see the office," he said, as I nodded. "You can stay with us if it's too crazy down there," I said, as Sougo looked at me. "He might be safer down there," he laughed with. I nodded as I turned to him. "He might," I agreed with. Iori shrugged. "I dunno. They started dancing to something down there," he said, as I nodded. "They're probably testing out the floor," I said, with a sigh. Sougo chuckled. "They might need the pudding," he said, as I chuckled. "Forget the spoons. Just start chugging," I said, as the three of us burst out laughing again. Iori sighed as he shut the door behind him. "What are you three laughing at?" he asked. I sighed as I calmed down enough to speak. "Just laughing about the conversation about Tamaki's remedy being pudding," I said, reminding him about a conversation a few days ago. Iori nodded. "So your back to that?" he asked with a sigh. "Sadly," said, as the noise died down again.

Iori sighed as he looked around. "You guys need help?" he asked as I shook my head. "No. We're done. We're just relaxing. You wanna come in?" I asked as he shook his head. "No, I'm gonna help Manager with something. You guys have fun," he said, as he waved and left the room. I waved as I turned to Sougo and Riku. "He helps Tsmugi?" I asked as Sougo nodded. "He helps her with managing sometimes," he explained. I nodded. "That's nice of him. It doesn't affect his work?"I asked as Sougo shook his head. "No. He's pretty good at it. Keeps up with everything, plus school on top of it," he explained. I nodded as I looked back at the door. "That's a lot. I'm shocked that he isn't tired all the time," I said. Riku sighed. "He makes sure he isn't pushing himself either," he added. "That's good. Don't want him going into a deep sleep through school or a concert," I said, as I took a deep breath.

I swirled so I looked out the window, as I studied the outside. The room was in silence, due to us just getting our rest. I looked down at the box that I just emptied and had to get rid of. I took a deep breath. "I should take care of this," I said, as Sougo nodded. "There's a dumpster outback. I can show you if you want," he said, as I stood up and grabbed the box. "That'll be nice. Thank you," I said, as I followed him out of the office. I looked around, seeing Tsmugi at her desk and on her computer. She looked up as she took a stretch. "You guys all done with the office?" she asked as I nodded. "Yeah. You can go in and have a look at it if you want," I offered as she shrugged. "I'll wait until you go back in there," she said, as I stopped. "Alright, I'll be back in a little bit," I said, as I walked out of the office and rejoined Iori in the hallway.

Iori led me through the building, showing me the way to the dumpster. We went by the gym hearing music blaring through the walls. We heard yelling as crashes burst through the room along with laughter. "I don't even wanna know what's going on in there," I said, as Iori shook his head. "Probably not," he said, as yelling came through the hallway. "Iori" Mitsuki's voice rang through as we heard a crash up against the wall. Iori lowered his head, due embarrassment. I looked at him as Mitsuki ran into the hallway. "Are you ok?" I asked, figuring out what the crash was. Mitsuki nodded. "Yeah, just waxed the floor," he said, as I chuckled and shook my head. "Bestie, come into my office," Kim's voice yelled from inside the gym. I put the box down as I walked in a little bit, seeing Kim sliding across the floor. She slid until she got near the radio and she tripped but caught herself against the wall. "Careful," I reminded her with. She smiled as she turned to face me. "I will. It's like an ice rink in here," she yelled over the music. I chuckled. "Just don't get hurt," I yelled back as Nagi slid over.

"Songwriter," he said, stopping himself at the carpet. I put my hands up, ready for him to fall over. "Careful," I said. Nagi put his hand out towards me. "Shall we skate?" he asked. "Um. Not at the moment. Sorry," I said, as he looked at me. "Oh sorry. You're still organizing the office," he said, as I chuckled. "Actually, we just finished. But I have to give a couple of tours if you want to see it," I invited with. Nagi studied me in silence, the look of excitement planted on his face. "I would love to see it," he said, as sliding entered the room. Kim came over, almost tripping into her spot. I chuckled as I caught her before she fell. "I think I need to make you a sign to be careful," I said, as Kim nodded. "We just waxed the floor," she said, as I turned to her. "Wanna see the office?" I asked as she nodded. "Definitely. Let's go," she said, as chuckled. "I'm gonna throw something away first," I said, as I started to leave the room. "Ok, we'll wait here and skate until you get back," she said, as I nodded and left the room, following Iori.
