22 Chapter Twenty-two ~

It felt nostalgic coming back to my old dorm. The one I used to share with Haneul.

It was even mpre weird to be coming here with the boys.

I never thought their would come a day when I would be coming here with them. In all honestly, I wanted to come way before they had to even leave the company, but last minute work had kept me from leaving.

This time it wasn't Oppa keeping me away from Haneul. It was honestly my fault. I hadn't realised the video supposed to be done by tomorrow wasn't finished. So I'd been mostly slaving over that for the past few hours. Even the boys got here before I did.

Haneul's party was on full swing by the time I reached the dorm.

Ringing the doorbell, I stood out waiting for someone to answer the door. I could easily have let myself in. I knew where the spare key was in for one. And the door was unlocked for another.

Ryu opened the door, and upon seeing it was me her face lit up in a smile.

"Eunha! It's been forever since I last saw you. How have you been?" She asked in excitement as she pulled me into a tight hug.

"I'm good Ryuie, how about you?" I asked patting her back gently. Ryu, as friendly and sweet as she was, was part of Haneul's circle of friends. The two of us were more acquaintances than friends.

I admit the blame for that should fall entirely on me. She's been trying since the moment Haneul announced I'll be living with them to befriend me.

At first I had gotten swept along with the thought of possibly making new friends. I loved the idea of it at least. However this mind set changed when I realised first and foremost she has been Haneul's friend. And that she will most probably always be.

With a gentle push from Oppa I realised the kind of friend I really needed -at that time- was someone who would be willing to stick up for me.

"I'm doing wonderfully Eunha. I got a promotion in my job so I'm no longer waiting tables at least." She said as she got the hint and released me. "Enough about that. Come one let's get inside. Haneul invited BTS to the party and they are here." She whisper yelled the last part, clearly excited.

I mean, who wouldn't be?

It wasn't like they weren't the most famous boy band in the world as of right now.

Laughing, I stepped inside. "Shall we go greet them?" I asked as I took off my shoes before proceeding inside. Ryu, squealing in silent excitement, closed the door before following after me.

The moment I walked into the living room arms wrapped around my waist from behind and lifted me off my feet. Considering only one person had the habit of doing this, I didn't need to look to know who it was.

"What took so long?" Tae whined, pout on his lips as he caught Jimin's arm before he could spin me around.

"Yeah, we we're starting to think you won't show up." Jimin pouted as well. He set me back on my feet, but kept hugging me, chin leaning on top of my head.

"Work ran a little over time. I thought I was done editing the bantan bomb we were supposed to release tomorrow. Turns out I hadn't given it in for approval. I had to finish it and send it on before I could leave. But I brought snacks." I added holding up the bag I was carrying.

Tae instantly grabbed the bag from my hand and dug through. I was thinking he was looking for his snack. To my surprise he grabbed a pack and shouted for Jungkook.

"Kookie! Haya bought snacks!" He yelled, tossing the packet in the youngers direction when he had his attention. I twisted slightly in Jimin's arm in time to see him jump over the sofa as he excused himself.

Jimin was now leaning on my shoulder and digging the bag with Tae. He didn't see Jungkook approaching us.

I smiled at him when he came to stand beside us, a pout on his lips.

"You're late." He grumbled, pulling Jimin's arm away. Then grabbing my elbow pulled me out of Tae's hold. Tae looked up at Jungkook with an annoyed expression but when he noticed who had pulled me he smirked and turned away.

"Sorry, work -" I started to say, but he cut me off by placing a finger over my lips.

"You should go find Suga Hyung. He's the one who's worried." He said shaking his head at me. He pointed to the backyard as he said this, so I knew where to find him.

Smiling I nodded my head, not using my words because he still had his finger pressed on my lips. I was about to turn away to go do what he had asked -and find Haneul. Only he caught me once again and gave a sheepish smile when I looked at him questioningly.

"I'll show you where he is." He said quickly a pleading look in his eyes. Casting my eyes sideways showed me what -or rather who- he was trying to run from. Chuckling softly I nodded my head.

Keeping a tight hold on my hand he lead me to the backyard. I watched his back with amusement. I mean, I was the one who lived here for the last four years. Yet he was the one showing me where the backyard was.

The moment we were out of the door he turned to me with a sheepish smile. The two of us were pretty much alone, what with Suga and Haneul taking on the far side of the backyard.

"Ur, sorry about that. I just wanted an escape." He said as he let go of my hand. His gaze remained on the floor, between our feet.

"You could've just asked them to stop if they were troubling you." I said, taking his hand in mine loosely. He could pull away if my touch was uncomfortable for him.

"Ah, no. It's just for one day. I'll survive." He said scratching his ear with a small smile.

He was happy to spend time so close to fans. The realisation wasn't startling. The fact that he'd rather be uncomfortable but make them happy was.

And as much as I didn't like the sacrifice, I felt it wasn't my place to say anything. The only consolance I had was that he was happy to do it. Whatever happens, happens with his consent.

"It's fine Haya. Promise. Now that your here even better." He said cupping my cheek between his hands. I must've looked sceptical even if I was trying to reassure myself.

I gave him a 'what are you talking about' look. Because what me being here achieved was lost on me.

Jungkook choose to ignore the clear question in my eyes and instead turned me around to face Suga and Haneul - who were, to my utter surprise, having a decent conversation.

"Go talk to Hyung. He looks calm, but he's worried that you are still not here. He's just really good at hiding his worry. Really good." Jungkook whispered in my ear from behind. I found it funny how he was trying to make me believe Oppa was very much worried about.

I mean, why wouldn't I trust him the first time he said it?

It wasn't like I didn't know that he worried about me. Or like I've never had an earful for worrying him when he had work.

"Ah, that reminds me." I said as I turned back around so I faced him. Digging in my skirt pocket, I pulled out a silver wrapped box no bigger than my palm. "Here. I'm not sure it is the exact one you wanted, but I'm sure Haneul will love it." I said holding out the gift to him.

He chuckled as he took it from me. "It's fine Haya. You know Neul-ah better than me so I know she will love it." He said ruffling my hair.

Giggling, I ducked under his hand and spun around, starting towards where Oppa and Haneul were talking. The closer we walked the clearer the frown on oppa's face was. I crossed my fingers, hoping they were not fighting again.

I casted a discreet glance at Jungkook, but he was absorbed in looking at the gift in his hand with a look of adoration. Not wanting him to overhear in case they were arguing -their must be a reason Oppa hid his relationship with Neul-ah all this time- I decided to do something that would make our presence known.

"Neul-ah! Happy Birthday!" I shouted when we were within hearing distance.

Both their heads snapped our way. Even Kookie was startled by my sudden shouted, his head snapping up to look at me.

I left Jungkook behind and ran over to Neul-ah, jumping on her the moment I was close enough.

Laughing she hugged me back.

"You're late." She said, not sounding very pleased. I pulled back sheepishly, only to see a smile still present on her lips. It never occurred to me that it could just be an act since both Jungkook and Suga were their with us.

"Sorry about that. I wanted to come earlier, work just..." I trailed off with a shrug, not sure how to explain in away she'd understand but not give any secrets. "But I got you something you'd love... I can't give it to you here though." The last part I had to whisper to her.

She gave me a puzzled look but I could only smile.

"Did you submit the video for approval?" Suga asked, turning my attention away from Haneul. Humming I nodded my head, sitting beside him when he made room. "Dinner?"

"Mira-chan made sure I ate before dropping me off." I replied laying my head on his shoulder and watching as a blushing Jungkook gave Haneul the gift.

"You came with Mira?" Suga was concentrated on our conversation and wasn't paying attention to the cuteness of Kookie.

Humming, I nodded my head again.

"And here I was worried you got lost finding for Kookie's gift." He muttered, sarcasm colouring his tone. Laughing I sat up straighter.

"Oppa, I already told you I bought his gift this morning when I went shopping with Sejinssi. He wanted me to wrap it and I forgot to return it once I was done because I got distracted." I whined at him.

"Hey you guys! We're going to play spin the bottle, anyone wanna join?" Nila called from the back door.

"You two coming?" Neul-ah asked, turning around to face us. Nodding my head I stood up. Holding my hand Suga followed, standing up himself.

Haneul's eyes zoomed in on our entwined fingers, but Oppa wouldn't let me pull away, so their wasn't much I could do.

Smiling awkwardly, I started inside, not wanting to get caught in another argument with Neul-ah

It was around 12:40 when their managers wanted them to leave. I'm not sure if all he boys were wasted. All the girls most certainly were. That I could tell without doubt. From the looks of it, only me, Jungkook and Jin were somewhat sober.

And even Jungkook and Jin were not completely sober. I was the only one who had refused to drink.. Well only half a cup, not enough to knock me cold. Just enough to create a light buzz around me. Not enough to even come close to give a hangover.

Jin and Jungkook went about gathering the guys who were all down stairs, so I headed upstairs to fetch Suga Oppa who had disappeared half an hour ago.

I made my way carefully up the stairs - I may be sober, but I didn't want take any chance after drinking even as little as I did. I did not need to fall down that stairs and crack my head or something. That'll only increase the feud between Neul-ah and Oppa.

Once I got to the top floor landing, I looked around for where he could be. Considering this was his fist time here... Oh well, I'll just check everywhere. He has to be in here somewhere.

He wasn't anywhere in any of the other girls rooms or in the washroom or the closet, or the storeroom. Which left only mine and Neul-ah's room to check. That and the attic.

I crossed my fingers hoping that he hadn't found his way to the attic. I did not want to go in their.

Thankfully the moment I neared my old bedroom door -the one I used shared with Haneul - I could hear some strange noises. Hoping it was Oppa in their, I didn't think twice before opening the door.

What I saw only made me spin right back around. The only good thing I could find in my current situation was that I hadn't slammed the door shut after me.

Fisting my hand, I took a deep breath. Pressing a tight hand over my mouth, and making certain I didn't get peep back inside, I gently eased the door shut again. Backing away from the door until my back hit the wall, I slid down.

Hand still pressed over my mouth I took in a deep breath to keep myself from hyperventilating.

What on Earth were the two of them thinking!?

They were about to... Well, Oppa was about to claw Neul-ah's eyes out while she was trying to get back together with him. How did they go from that to making out on her bed. His hands had most definitely been under her dress, it wasn't a simple innocent make out session.

Groaning, hand still pressed to my mouth, I smacked my back on the wall. The constant buzz in my head wasn't helping me to think straight. But even my dizzy self could tell that... Whatever they were doing wasn't the answer to solving their problem.

Oppa was venting out his anger, Neul-ah was taking advantage of it. At the end of the day, when the two of them are more sober they're going to cuss the decision they took.

Yet, I didn't want to get in between... whatever was hapneing behind that door.

For one, it's going to be awfully uncomfortable. For another, I really didn't need another reason for Haneul to hate me.

I would have walked off without a second thought if I had just seen Haneul. This wasn't the first time I had walked in on her being intimate with someone. But Oppa wasn't Haneul. He'd probably hate himself come morning when he realise what he did. Venting his anger was one thing, the consequences of it was a complete other.

While my indecisive self sat their wondering what to do, Jungkook came looking for the two of us. I had been staring so intently at the door I didn't realise he was upstairs until he was directly beside me.

"You okay Haya?" Jungkook's soft voice snapped me out of my review. My eyes darted to him and I stared at him with wide deer-caught-in-headlights eyes.

"Haya?" He asked sounding worried when I didn't answer him. He even crouched down beside me, hand on top of my head, peering at me with concerned doe eyes.

"Yes." It came out hesitants so I quickly added more confidently, "yeah, I'm good. Just feeling... Um, ur - dizzy I guess."

Right, I mention I wasn't a good liar right? Especially when I'm taken by surprise and didn't know what to say. And Jungkooks raised eyebrow said that he didn't really buy that.

"Where's Suga Hyung?" He asked instead of calling out my lie. His gaze trailing along the hallway as if Oppa will pop out of nowhere.

I blame it on my unclear mind that I nodded towards the room door without second thought.

It was when he stood up with a sigh that I realised what I did.

"Wait, wait!" I exclaimed scrambling to my feet as he reached out for the door handle. In my hurry I didn't think about my dizziness and almost faceplanted on the ground.

Jungkook didn't notice as he knocks loudly on the door. Calling, "Suga Hyung, we have to go!"

With that he threw open the door.

A/N~

I apologise for the long wait, but we finally hit the main plot! I'm so excited for this. We can finally get to the stage of finally getting Eunha and Kookie together.

Here's a little love from our baby bunny as we wait.

Also, I can't get over the make it right remake. Why is he so hot and adourable and squishy all at once! I wanna squeeze the living daylights outta him.

As always, constructive critisism is welcome.
