20 Chapter Twenty ~

The knock on my cubicle door made me jump and whirl around to face the door with wide eyes. It couldn't have been Mira as she knew the door was unlocked.

"C-come in!" I called. The strutter was unintended. Their was no one left in the building. Not anyone who'd come looking for me anyway. It was a little past two, the company was supposed to be closed.

I doubt anyone other than the boys, their managers, me, Mira and the watchman remained.

However the bright and happy face that peeped in had me smile back instantly.

"Come on Haya. We're dropping you and Mirassi at your place because neither of you know the way. You don't want to make Mirassi sleep in the company do you?" He asked, not setting foot inside. I could only see his face as he remained peeking in from the door.

I shook my head, chuckling lightly.

I felt much better after that little chat with Jungkook. However this didn't mean I was feeling all that good. I was still feeling nauseas, I had a hard enough time finishing everything Jungkook brought up for us.

"Course not Hobi Oppa." I replied, turning back to the computer screen in front of me. "Just let me save this and I'll be right down." I added already saving the files as I talked.

"Alright." J-Hope said and I could just imagine him continuing to smile brightly behind me. "Oh, where is Mira? Didn't she say she was going to sleepover at your place?" He asked, surely just then noticing I was pretty much alone in the cubicle.

I threw a glance at him over my shoulder, the file still saving behind me. I nodded my head. "She was feeling sleepy so I asked her to pass out in the couch in the reception area. You can go get her if you want, this'll take awhile to save and shut down and all."

He laughed at my reply. "Very well, make sure you go right to the parking lot when you're done here okay?" He made sure, not leaving until I nodded my head in consent.

It was another fifteen minutes before I was ready to leave. In my defence, I'd been cooped up in here for four days. I had lot of things to clear out and take back with me. The only reason it wasn't filled with garbage is because the janitors cleared up my workplace every night.

Making sure I had my phone with me and didn't leave anything behind, I rushed to the basement parking.

J-Hope and Mira were already there, along with the rest of the boys.

"Haya is here!" Tae called to everyone. He and Jimin being the first two to notice my presence first. Someone shouted something else, but the dark eyes staring at me shut out every other sound besides my heart, which raced.

I'm not sure if the air had really stilled because the boys noticed this, or if it was a simple trick my mind was playing. Whichever the case, my whole attention was centred purely on him right then. Nothing anyone said or did made sense.

He'd been lazily leaning against the car when our eyes met. The moment our eyes did meet, he straightened up.

A small smile was all it took for me to drop everything I held in my arm and race over, jumping on him. His arms caught me as they always did, wrapping protectively around my waist and holding me lifted in the air.

Leaning my forehead against his, I closed my eyes. Resolve melted and drained the moment I laid my eyes on him. Being in his arms felt much better than any grudge I had to hold. Besides, I already know he was only trying to protect me. It wasn't like Mira hates me even after all this, so it's cool.

"I'm sorry baby, I shouldn't have-" Oppa started to say, but I smiled pressing my finger against him lips.

"I shouldn't have overreacted either. It's fine Oppa." I whispered back, giving him a quick peck on his cheek.

A frown scrunched up his eyebrows, displeased by my words. "Don't say that Ha-Ya, you had every right to ..." He started to say, but one look into my eyes, he sighed and dropped the subject. He must've realised nothing he said was being taken seriously by me.

It wasn't that I never took him seriously. Most times I believed him over anyone, even my own father. It's just when he starts about being a bad influence for me and degrading himself that I don't. He will always, and has always been, perfect in my eyes. Nothing anyone -specially he - say is going to change my mind.

Shaking his head he dropped me back on to my feet. No, he didn't set me down on my feet carefully. He just released his hold on my waist so my feet landed on the floor with a dull thud.

I giggled, knowing that he probably got tired of holding me up. I'm surprised he even held on to me as long as he did. This is lazy -but hardworking - Suga Oppa we are talking about.

He tucked a strand on loose hair behind my ear. "I am sorry nonetheless. It was wrong of me. I did promise never to dictate your life for you." He said in a low voice. Low enough only for my ears.

"Aigo~" I laughed pinching his cheeks -not hard enough to hurt. "Let it go Oppa. I forgave you didn't I?" I asked with a smile. It was more of a rhetoric question as I didn't want an answer.

Once I gave him a smile, I spun around in search for Namjoon Oppa. I had a very important thing to ask. As leader, he'd surely be able to decide and give me an answer without having to get permission from higher ups.

I found him leaning against the other car, digging through his phone. Leaving oppa's side, I skipped my way over to my new unsuspecting target.

I jumped on him slightly when I was close enough. My arms wrapping around his waist.

Namjoon Oppa jerked upright, startled by my sudden action. As soon as he realised it was just little old giggling me he relaxed

Tucking his phone into his pocket, he wrapped his arm around me with his other hand. His actions pulled me out from behind him and to his side.

"What?" He asked chuckling softly. "No, don't answer that. I already know what you want and the answer is yes. We are throwing you a house warming party, which we cannot throw without being present."

I stared at him dumbstruck. How did he even know that I was going to ask him permission for all them them to stay over?

"Yes, we're having a sleepover. So get going. Yoongi Hyung said you can buy midnight snacks for us." He bent lower to whisper in my ear.

I didn't instantly get going. I still had unfinished business with him.

"Also, about earlier... In the conference room... Um, I'm sorry about -" I started to apologise but he chuckled softly ruffling up my hair.

"Already forgiven Haya. You were right, it wasn't my place." He said lightly, making me feel guilty for the words I'd said to him. It was me who was wrong. He must've been as hurt as I am over hearing what he just said.

I quickly shook my head, disagreeing with him.

"No, I was wrong. It was your place. You were just trying to show me that Oppa wasn't in the wrong over what he did -"

"Haya." Again my words were cut off by him gently calling my name. He pulled away from the hug, only to stand in front of me and bend down to my level. "I'm not mad at you. I still love you very, very much. I know what was going on, Yoongi Hyung explained it to me afterwards. In that moment you were right. I did not know what was happening to defend Hyung. So you don't have to explain anything. Okay?"

Tears brimmed in my eyes as I quickly nodded my head. My heart filling with immense love and gratitude towards the man I proudly called brother.

How could I not? When he always protected me and made sure I was always safe. When he cared so deeply that he made things right for me before I could even open my mouth to mend things. When he took so much care of me even in the midst of his hectic schedule.

How could I not love someone like that? Someone who prioritise me above everyone else.

Squeezing him tightly in a hug to convey my thanks, I did as he asked. Other than Jin, everyone else had already gotten into their respective vehicles.

Jungkook and Suga were already occupying the car Oppa had been leaning against. Mira-chan riding shotgun. So I got in beside Jungkook and closed the door. Once that was secured, I crawled over Jungkook's lap and made myself comfortable between him and Suga.

Jungkook shifted to make more room for me, but I opted for staying sticked to Oppa's side.

"So... What happened with..." Suga asked softly into my ear, his head tilting just the slightest bit in Mira's direction, once the car started moving.

Jungkook tactfully pulled out his phone and occupied himself with it, giving us a sense of privacy. We were sitting too close for him not to overhear what we said. Not without outright whispering into each others ears like a bunch of highschoolers.

Before I could look in the direction he indicated, he caught my head and stopped me from turning around. I was left blinking at him, but knew whom he was talking about.

"Like you don't know." I grumbled. Even though Mira hadn't admitted to anything, I could tell if was him who told her why I never mentioned anything about them earlier.

He continued playing innocent, so I turned to Jungkook. He was immersed in his phone and I had to gently tug on his sleeve to gain his attention.

"If I ask you something, will you promise to tell me the truth?" I asked him, holding out my pinky finger.

His brows furrowed and he cast a quick glance at Oppa before nodding his head, wrapping his pinky around mine. Even Mira turned around at my question, a curious look in her expression. Meanwhile, Oppa sighed softly from behind me. I only knew he sighed because I was literally attached to his side and felt his body shift.

"Oppa fought with Mira-chan again didn't he?" I asked, ignoring said two people in the car with us.

Oppa visibly flinced at my bluntly put question. Something Jungkook noticed and shot him a look. I tugged my pinky, his own still remained wrapped around mine, reminding him of his promise.

He sighed and met my eyes again, his hand not holding my pinky rubbing the back of his neck.

"Well... I don't know if they fought. Just that they... talked?" He worded that 'talked' as if he himself wasn't sure that was what happened. I gave him a puzzled look. "We don't know what happened. He took her to the recording room and..." He explained, trailing off mid sentence with a shrug.

I pouted and turned back to Oppa. He quickly turned his head away, pretending to look out the window. His arm however remained wrapped securely around my shoulder, not pulling away.

"We talked." He replied to my unasked question. No prompt needed, even if he was still avoiding looking directly at me.

I nudged him with my elbow for more details.

"Okay, I may or may not have threatened her in the process of talking." He grumbled, his fingers playing a nervous beat against my shoulder.

"Oppa!"

"Hyung!"

I and Jungkook exclaimed that at the same time. Meanwhile Mira chuckled, not sounding very worried about being threatened.

I gave the two of them confused looks, not understanding either of their reactions.

"I knew I shouldn't have left Hyung to talk to her alone. I knew it was a bad idea." Jungkook grumbled to himself under his breath. Once again, I was sitting too close to him not to hear what he muttered.

Now that I kinda figured our why Jungkook sounded so horrified, I raised pointed eyes at Mira. She was still looking back to see the  look I shot her.

"Let's just say that what Jungkook said earlier is very true... About you being his baby." The 'his' being said with a jab in Suga's direction. "You both are a little bit overprotective of each other." She added, laughing as she turned back around.

At least this reassured me oppa's threat couldn't have been that serious -or bad - if Mira-chan was laughing.

Suddenly Oppa held his credit card our to me. "Buy whatever you want along with dinner." He said, a gummy smile taking over his lips.

I grinned taking his card without protest for once. Well, truthfully, I was kinda broke so I didn't have enough money on me right then to feed all seven of them, myself and Mira.

I was just about to scramble over oppa's lap to get down when Jungkook caught my ankle. "Don't forget banana milk and chips." He told excitedly. Laughing I nodded my head and he let me go.

The manager driving their car -I honestly didn't know his name- was already out, waiting to accompany me. It was close to two, so it didn't matter that the car was stopped right in front of the store entrance still on drive. All it meant was that we couldn't take long to buy everything we needed.

I left buying dinner in Manager oppa's hand and took upon myself the task of finding snacks and drinks. I already knew each and everyone's preferences when it came to snacks and drinks, which made my task much easier.

Once I had gotten enough to last us all the night I went in search for manager Oppa. Finishing up shopping together, we headed over to the counter, paid and headed back to the car.

I knocked on the back glass for Oppa to open the door and handed him the 'on the way' snack bag, before helping manager Oppa to load the rest of the bags into the trunk.

Then we were back on the road, headed straight back to my new place.

"I don't understand Ha-chan." Mira said from beside me. She had her chin propped up against her palm, with elbow resting on top of the counter she was leaning against. Her gaze was fixed on the boys arguing about what to watch.

The two of us were in the kitchen waiting for the popcorn to get done. Considering the living room, Kitchen and dining room were all one room, she could easily see the boys from where she was.

"What don't you understand Mira-chan?" I asked turning away from the microwave to face her.

"Why you think Jungkookie is shy around you." She stated, turning around to face me as well.

Laughing I turned back to keep watch on the microwave. "That's because he is." I replied. I heard her sigh and asked, "why all of a sudden?"

I didn't understand why she was bringing up something I told her hours ago. Or what spurred this line of questioning to begin with.

"No, just something that happened in the car." She replied as she turned around to see the boys again. I shot her a curious look, not sure what she was on about. Considering she had her back turned to me, she surely didn't see the look I shot her way.

"What happened in the car?" I asked as I joined her by the counter. The popcorn would cook even if I don't keep an eye on it. It's in the microwave.

"Not just the car now that I think about it. Little things I've been noticing throughout the day." She said, still watching the boys.

Tae, Jimin and Jungkook were arguing about the movie they wanted to watch. The elder four seemed to have given up on the argument and were arranging the sleeping mats instead.

Still not understanding where she was going with this, I just looked at her puzzled. Seeing the utterly confused look I was wearing, she laughed.

"Don't tell me you never noticed?" She asked amused. However her amused look was quickly replaced by one of disbelief at the 'notice what?' look I shot her. "Wait, for real? Come on Ha-chan, don't tell me you really don't notice the little things he does that show that..." She trailed off biting her lip, as if unsure she wanted to finish that sentence or not.

"That?" I prompted, knocking my shoulder against hers playfully.

"That show that he isn't as shy around you half as much as you think he is." She concluded, nodding her head.

"Like what?" I asked, chuckling. Not taking her words seriously.

"Well... For one he literally pulled you to his lap this evening when he was consoling you. Unlike you, who didn't notice what was going on, I'm sure he was very well aware that that was what he did. Then again on our way here. You had to crawl over his lap to sit between him and Suga because you can't be normal and just sit by the window until we reached home." Here she paused to give a smirk and wiggle her eyebrows suggestively.

Laughing I pushed her and went back to the microwave which pinged.

"According to you, if he minded it or felt embarrassed wouldn't he have either blushed or wait out for you to get inside before he did? Because unlike you, he pays attention and he clearly knew you wouldn't let him be a barrier between you and your beloved Suga Oppa." She pointed out.

Smiling I shook my head. "I think you're looking into this more deeper then it really is Mira-chan." I said as I grabbed the bowl and turned around, to join the boys. "Come on, let's enjoy their company while it lasts." I called to her, already walking out of the little kitchen area. Not taking her words seriously. Forgetting them the moment I joined the boys.

A/N~

Hey ARMY!

I know this was a bit of a filler chapter but some important things happened here -other than Eun-ha forgiving Suga. I know this wasn't my best chapter, but I was in a bit of a rush writing/editing this. On that note, the next update might take a while to be up. I'm pulling my hair with writers block and editing is going to take a back seat while I overcome this Chapter. I'm really sorry about it, but I can't concerntrate on editing when my brain is letting me think of nothing but finishing the Chapter.

In any case. I hope you enjoyed this Chapter. Constructive Critisism is always welcome and please do point out any typos.

P. S.  I thought I updated this five days ago,  what on earth wattpad?
